I am extremely disappointed and…

I am extremely disappointed and concerned about my experience with Singer. I purchased my items on 23 March, but later I was told there was a mistake with the washing machine serial number and that the sale had been reversed to enter the correct serial number.

However, after the reversal, I was given another account with a different billing date and yet another serial number that still does not match the serial number on the washing machine physically in my possession. My original bill copy was also torn up at the branch.

A serial number is supposed to uniquely identify a product, so I cannot understand why the serial number and account details have changed multiple times while none of the records match my actual machine. This situation has caused me serious concern and has completely undermined my trust in the company's record-keeping and customer service. I request an immediate investigation and a proper explanation.

Think twice before buying anything from…

Think twice before buying anything from Singer. I recently purchased a treadmill through their website, and it took 14 days for delivery and installation, despite repeated telephone calls and follow-ups.

It is regrettable to note that the strong corporate image Singer once enjoyed appears to be a thing of the past. When an organization is managed by a top leadership team headed by a casino operator, the decline in service standards becomes quite evident. In my experience, the level of inefficiency was worse than that of a government department.

Poor Customer Service Experience with Singer Online Order

Dear Mr. Mahesh Wijewardene,

This is my first time ordering online from Singer, and honestly, I never expected such poor communication and customer service from a well-known company like Singer.

The mobile app is not working, WhatsApp messages receive no replies, phone calls go unanswered, Facebook messages are ignored, and even emails are not responded to. My order has already been placed and approved, but until now there is no proper update about when it will be processed, shipped, or delivered.

The website mentions delivery within 3–5 days, but in reality, that does not seem true at all. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have faced.

I highly do not recommend ordering online from Singer based on my experience. I am still very worried because the payment amount is quite large, yet I have received no proper response or assurance from the company.

දන්න කෙනෙක්ට ගන්න දෙන්න එපා මුන්ගේ සිංගර් බඩු. මාසයයි දෙකයි නැත්තම් හරියටම වොරන්ටි ඉවර වෙනකොටම මුන්ගේ බඩු කැඩෙනවා. මේ කෝල් සෙන්ටර් වල ඉන්න එවුන් බාගෙට නිදි. මේ බොරැල්ලේ තියෙන service සෙන්ටර් එකේ ඉන්නේ මහ එපාම කරපු ස්ටාෆ් එකක්. manager එකා හැංගිලා ඉන්නේ. මිනිස්සු කුණුහරපෙන් බනින්නේ. මුන් එකාට එකා බොලේ පාස් කර කර අසරණ මිනිස්සු ඔක්කොම රස්තියාදු කරනවා. මුන්ගේ මහ එවුන් ස්ටාෆ් එකට සලකන විදිය වෙන්න ඇති ඒකයි මිනිස්සුන්ව මෙහෙම රස්තියාදු කරන්නේ. ගන්නවානම් වැඩිපුර ගෙවල හරි DAMRO බඩු ගන්න. එක call එකයි දෙන්න ඕනේ එදාම නැත්තම් අනිත් දවසේ රෙපයාර් කරන්න එනවා. නැත්තම් වෙන එකක් දීල තමයි හදන්න අරගෙන යන්නේ.

මේ SINGER කියන නම දැන් විනාස වෙලා ඉවරයි. ලොකු පුටුවල ඉන්න කප්පිත්තෝ ඔක්කොම හොරු ඒකයි පහල ඉන්න එවුන් මිනිස්සුන්ව රස්තියාදු කරන්නේ. ජීවිතේට ආපහු බඩුවක් ගන්නේ නැහැ දන්න කෙනෙක්ට ගන්න දෙන්නෙත් නැහැ.

Extremely disappointed!!!!!

Extremely disappointed with Singer’s repair service and customer support. It took weeks for them to collect the device, and they failed to provide a reference number or receipt despite us requesting one. For over 3 months, we continuously contacted the Peradeniya outlet, head office, and repair center in Pilimathalawe for updates, but all we received were delays, excuses, and no proper communication.

The staff member handling the matter, Chaminda from Singer Kandy, kept promising updates without any real progress. We later found out that the repair process had not even started. And after months of waiting, the device was returned to us in the same broken condition with the excuse that it could not be repaired.

Very irresponsible service and poor customer handling throughout the entire process. Sad to see such disappointing treatment from a company we trusted for years. Would not recommend anyone to trust Singer with anything again!

Very poor after sales service for A/Cs

Bought several A/Cs (maybe 6 or 7) from Singer. Very poor after sales service. I made a complaint three weeks back and made several repeated calls. Each time they apologise (upto now 3 apologies) and tell me someone from Maharagama (who has been given the responsibility) would call me. No calls. No follow up. There was a supervisor attached to this work from Kalutara (a SMS has been sent to me by Singer) and I was given his number. When I called him what he says is he can't help since this has been taken up by Maharagama. Very poor coordination. I do not know whether this review too would serve any purpose given the mindset of the whole set up.

The poor quality singer treadmill

I purchased a singer treadmill , model no EST2704 on 24.09.2025 and its price Rs 124,782. We used it rarely and recently the front panel suddenly burnt and there was smoke. I immediately disconnected treadmill from the switch. I filed a complaint on 17th April 2026 and they said they will send a technician to inspect the treadmill within 3 working days. So far no one has turned up to check it. Each time we contact the Singer service center, we’re told a technician will be sent the following day, but it never happens.
Beware before buying a Singer treadmill, as the model we purchased is of poor quality and they are designed to fail even before the one year warranty expires. Overall, this has been a very poor experience with Singer.
We are very dissatisfied with Singer and their after sale services.

After-sales customer service is extremely poor.

I bought a ZTE8050 Blade V50 Design (black) phone. From Singer Plus Negombo branch. Initially the fingerprint worked for a few months but now, the fingerprint doesn't work either.. The Power On/off button also overheats. It gets incredibly hot... At least to the point where you can't even touch it.. I don't recommend anyone to buy ZTE phones (especially not from Singer dealers.. After service is the last resort)..

absolute the worst service center award goes to singer for making my phone issue worse they suck please dont get any phones imported by them these people are idiots i gave phone for repair because it got stuck on the boot screen and they said they replaced the mother board but now it got stuck again and i restarted it and it drained my battery from 63 to 0 in 5 seconds like what and and they replaced my motherboard with a faulty one it hasnt even been 2 weeks like how a big coperation can mess something small this bad absolute morons

Faulty Products and Poor Customer Service

Extremely disappointed with the service and honesty of this store. My parents bought a rice cooker from this company - singer mega gampaha and the product had an electrical short circuit the very first time it was plugged in. This is a serious safety issue. We returned it to the store and they claimed it was repaired, but when we brought it back home and plugged it in again, the exact same problem happened.

What is even worse is the way the staff handled the situation. When my parents called to speak with the branch manager, they were repeatedly told for two days that the manager was “not in the seat” and that he would call back. No call ever came. However, when I called the branch directly, the manager was clearly there. This shows a complete lack of honesty and responsibility toward customers.

Selling faulty electrical appliances and then avoiding customers instead of solving the problem is unacceptable. This kind of behavior puts customers at risk and shows very poor customer service. I strongly advise others to think twice before buying from this place unless they improve their product quality and customer support.

I really wanna appreciate singer Sri Lanka

I really wanna appreciate singer Sri Lanka Ratnapura, Kudugalwatta, branch manager Mr. Janaka and Miss. Dewmini. I brought a refrigerator from them and they gave me an excellent service. Dewmini was so excellent. She handled me well and the manager was awesome. They are wonders in their job. They did more than the expectation to the customers. Mr. Janaka and miss. Dewmini was excellent in their job. I brought a refrigerator and they gave me an excellent service and immediate delivery and exclusive experience. Mr. Piyum Jayathilake, I know him very long time and he made me to the over moon experience. Mr. Puyum is an assessment to singer Sri Lanka. I always recommend to everyone to purchase any life goods Singer Sri Lanka is the most best place to buy.

On 27th January

On 27th January, I handed over my TV for repair. Despite giving several reminders, I am still awaiting a quotation as of 3rd February, with no response received. I also lodged a complaint with customer care, but unfortunately, I have not received any responsible follow-up.

This lack of communication and delay reflects very poorly on your after-sales service. I kindly request immediate attention to my case and a prompt resolution.

We purchased a Singer Smart Fridge…

We purchased a Singer Smart Fridge (Model: GEO-SM-265-NF) about 6 years ago. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing.

Within the warranty period, the fridge developed a cooling problem. Singer replaced it after about one month.
The second fridge had the same issue and was replaced again.
After the 6-month warranty, the third fridge also developed the same cooling problem within one year, but we could not claim warranty.
