Holding your money hostage
Don't go to showmasters' events. It's as simple as that. They:
- take bookings for guests in advance and if the guests cancel don't give you a refund for 2 years.
- treat the guests that do come badly, not giving them breaks, overbooking them, over stressing them and generally giving them a bad time.
- don't train their staff so you are told incorrect information and miss your photo shoots.
- cancel events in the year moving your tickets to other events without your consent - again no refunds for 2 years.
- don't take card so you have to pre buy their own vouchers (if you don't have cash) that if they then decide they won't let you meet a guest you can't return to cash, just a voucher valid for (you guessed it) 2 years.
- let you get a virtual queue ticket, and the aforementioned vouchers, but then only let people who've payed over the odds months in advance meet a guest, and some didn't even get to do that.
In summary, it felt that this company was designed (with no regard to a decent service) to maximise the money coming out of my pocket into theirs, without any respect for anyone involved.

Ruined the best day of my life. Overbooked the main guest and yelled at him for not being fast enough. Poor guy looked so tired and overwhelmed. I traveled from Germany to London just to see him. You let too many people in! You sold too much autographs and photoshoots. Fck you, really.

Disappointed doesn't even come close!
Firstly, if there was 'minus' stars to give, myself and many others on here would give them!
When I tried to use an issued voucher to pay for a photo session with Mr Jimmy Vee, the website still asked me for more money! When exactly can I use this ticket you have returned to me? As far as I can see, there is no conditions attached. This voucher was originally returned to me as Mr Clarke Gregg was ( yet again) unable to make this Con.
Indeed, when I and very many other patrons who attended today, were completely left in the dark and the absolute, oversubscribed system you have set up, were unable to be processed in such a small period of time to attend the particular phote shoot we requested.
There appears to be growing ammomosity to the system that Showmasters is operating. In the meantime, I will be referring this matter regarding my Statutory Rights and Watchdog and to my credit card company.
Dont waste your money
Dont waste your money with this company. Only offer vouchers if person cancels and then takes ages to send through meaning the event you have tickets for will have passed and your forced to go to another event which you will have to pay entry too. They take days to respond to emails and there is no phone number to call them.
I feel totally let down
I feel totally let down, we were asked by the company to not ask for refunds when July 2020 got cancelled and thousands of us didn’t. We supported you in your hours of need, £195 spent for a Robbi Coltrane pass, it was rolled to Nov 2021, cancelled then rolled to July 2022 cancelled again. When we brought the ticket your terms and conditions at time of sale was a full refund. Now it’s a voucher which is now 2 years old so I’m now eligible for a refund. We do not want to see anyone else, you don’t answer emails, you block people your loyal customer base who supported you. You should be ashamed of yourselves, thousands of people feel like this it’s littered all over social media. Trading standards and contract lawyers are now involved and all could have been avoided had you just been honest and answered people. It’s a shame because you used to have values, no wonder top names are avoiding your events now.
Send-in service is a disgrace…
I am afraid I have to agree with the majority comments. The 'send-in' "service" is a disgrace.
Sent in 2 items: a photo, which was returned, but not signed as instructed; and, a first day cover that was not signed at all and not returned, despite repeated requests and (broken) promises.
Did get a refund for the missing signature, but the item was presumably lost. If Showmasters operate such a service, they should take much greater care of other peoples' property and, if something goes wrong, have the honesty to own up and provide appropriate compensation.
I did, eventually, receive the fdc on 4 August, 2 and a quarter months after their stating I would receive it shortly. There was no apology, or any written comment, for the delay in returning this.
don't trust them
don't trust them, happy to take your money and ignore your emails. plus instead of reading an email thread you send, you just get a responce of what are you emailing about. reading it would have saved that issue. still chasing an item i sent in ages ago with now no responce so not happy about that and i'll assume its been lost by them.

Destination Star Trek was cancelled by this company and they are refusing to give me back my money a total of 1 over 60 pounds all they give you is a voucher that will never ever be used especially at my age

Back in 2021 I booked over £150 worth of tickets for a Showmasters Comic Con event. When the guests I paid for inevitably cancelled, I was given a voucher for the refund amount which would allegedly be refunded in 2 years, should the balance not be used.
Today, with none of my voucher spent, I was notified that my voucher has been extended by six months, in breach of their own terms and conditions. When I raised it on FB, they immediately blocked me.
I am never going to get my money back from these thieves, but hopefully you won't make the same mistake I did.

The worst company I have dealt with in years. Broken promises and then totally ignored. Item returned with missing signatures and have been promised a refund weeks ago. Do your self a favour and avoid these people at all costs!!

I Made The Mistake Of Trusting Them.
I had used Showmasters before and I thought I could trust them. I was wrong. I am gutted and very upset by their behaviour towards me. I sent in 2 figures value of £55 each to get signed by 2 actors. I received one only. I was assured that it was in the post. 2 weeks later still nothing. I’d get emails telling me it was here, there or wait til they are back from LA then they were ill so not in the office. The replies then stopped completely after 6 weeks of trying to get my item. With the item, shipping costs and payment of autograph I have lost about £150. I tried messaging them on Facebook, Twitter, other email accounts. Nothing. I went onto their official forum and found that this is not an isolated case. I cannot believe a company with the prestige it carries would do this to a customer but it has. I came on here to leave a review and again I see that I’m not the only one. I’m disgusted with their actions. They have stolen money from me, a highly prized item of mine is gone. I don’t keep well and it has affected me psychologically too. I am crying as I write this. They actually have scammed me and then blocked me. If anyone can help me please do.

I ordered an autographed Funko Pop in October intending it to be a Christmas gift for my son. I contacted them many times, many of my emails were ignored but three different times I was told that it would be getting authenticated by Beckett at the next weekend's event. Why would they need to get it authenticated three different times? And once my order was actually lost and they had to find it. Here it is February and I've finally received notification that my son's CHRISTMAS GIFT has shipped and is on its way to me. I will never do business with them again and would highly recommend you don't either
No refunds, missing items, blocked on FB
We have enjoyed many an event with this company over the years but as we were on the schielding list decided to submit pre- orders for the Nov 2021 one and skip going in for safety. There were many cancelations due to Covid and that is understandable but there were no refunds not even automatic vouchers as advertised. What this company did next is however disgraceful. They demanded a specific format of email and that we wait almost a month to request refunds. 2 months later and after 11 emails we discovered we can no longer open PayPal cases against them as the time of purchase was now over 3 months. We were about to go to the police and small claims court when they refunded some of the money. However the 5 items we send in and another 3 signitures were never returner nor refunded. Then to our surprise one of us was blocked from commenting or sending messages on their Facebook page. Looking at other reviews on here this seems to be a standard practice when someone complains. But what next? Block all our friends and family too? Because we are not going to let them just walk away with our items and money. At this stage they were about to have the next event so clearly did not want to deal with any issues from the previous one.
I would never trust these event organisers again. It's a real shame however as we trully did like their pre-Covid events. Unfortunately we cannot trust them with our money or items again.

Well I dont know what to say exactly to the other reviewers, I have read their reviews but my experience has been 100% the opposite...
I ordered an item send-in autograph from Star Trek Destination London. I posted the item from half way around the world, it arrived and was signed. There was some issue with missing the original send-out date after the con but I emailed and was replied to by Jason who was very professional and courteous. He reassured me that my item had been sent.
Approximately 8-9 weeks after the event my item arrives and in pristine condition. That might sound like a long time but as a frequent buyer of item send-in autographs from the United States, that is a normal time frame 2-3 months. Sure the waiting is hard but it is not unexpected.
So my item arrived in excellent condition with a great quality signature and even a small mention from Jason that the talent liked having something unique to sign.
All in all a great experience and I would not hesitate to be a return customer. My sincere thanks to Jason and his team for helping me add another signature to my collection!
Terrible company to deal with
Terrible company to deal with.
Sent a piece away for signing through showmasters. A letter was included to let them know the photo was inkjet and not to place any labels on the photo.
When it has arrived to showmasters I got an email from them saying they had many the same that were inkjet and couldn’t place labels on, so I thought my item was in good hands.
This photo was signed by many other star wars cast that I got a previous shows around the U.K. the piece meant a lot to me and a lot of money was spent on this.
Well, it arrived!!! Photo was ruined with numerous tape marks over the image which ruined it.
Showmasters asked me to send to studio c in the states. They wouldn’t do it, I had to under their request. A year later studio c returned the item without any work done to it.
So now I have a ruined photo and showmasters wasted and now done nothing about. Absolute terrible experience.
If you look at their Facebook pages reviews cannot be posted, going by comments over the internet they don’t seem to care about anyone’s products

I ordered an item to be signed with Showmasters over a year ago. Me and many others have had to repeatedly mither the company for updates only to be provided deadlines which are never met. We were told almost 2-3 weeks ago now that our orders were back in the UK and being posted out only for that to change to say that now we have to wait for Beckett authentication even if we didn't ask for authentication on our items. Poor communication, complete lack of care for their customers. Easily the worst signing service available.
Very poor customer service
I brought 4 tickets for Comic Con in February 2021 it got postponed to July and then again to November. I was told the tickets couldn't be refunded but credited which I accepted, to date I have not been credited my full amount and have had no response room Showmasters despite several emails. Very poor customer service!
Ordered a signed photo
Ordered a signed photo. After 2 weeks no sign of it and no response to emails. Then when I get hold of them through Facebook they asks me why did I email them through their registered Paypal email address? Emails were blunt and unapologetic. Still no item and have started a Paypal refund claim to which they still haven't responded. Not the way to do business online at all.
Very poor customer service
I ordered the Furlock bear (BBC sherlock teddy bear) from this site for my wife's birthday over a week before hand and was told it would be sent next day by recorded delivery.
Jason, who seems to manage business, went away for Christmas and I heard nothing for two weeks.
I had to write him a stern e-mail in the end to get a response. He informed me that he had sent my order on the day of receiving the e-mail. I had to keep chasing and was eventually sent a tracking number. It showed that he had not sent my order for a week and that he had sent it to the wrong address (credit card billing address) not the delivery address.
I've had late deliveries before, but the most annoying thing was the complete lack of an apology. His e-mails were blunt and direct, as if I were at fault. I bought this present for my wife in good faith and three weeks later I still don't have it!
