Disneyland Corporate inhumanity
Disneyland Corporate distancing, inhumanity. They maneuver to avoid a conflict or villainize a patron, with the result they leave someone hurt yet have postured for success if a suit results. I’m a hated minority, and I see this often. Once, for example, on Rise of the Resistance, a group from another country that had allied with me so I could show them how the ride handles scooters, decided to avoid me as a hated minority. Then Staff separated us in a public manner. I was humiliated, and told them I’d like to leave. I’ve talked with them several times since. 1. They always act very concerned, promising to take it up with managers, but 2. In Subsequent discussions with them, they indicate they know nothing of it. 3. I recommend they check their video, and, miraculously, they have no cameras there. I’ve been trying to tell a manager in Guest Services who I know, but he’s been out for weeks, now. An inability to recognize a problem, and a hostile focus on determining who I am, leads me to believe villainizing me is a path to self defense for them. I have only suggested they develop a protocol other than humiliating me. I’m finding I’m supposed to accept what they do, even if it hurts me, and they seem hostile to me if I try to complain. So now I don’t do RoR, the best ride anywhere, because I could get in the line I can’t leave, face rejection again, staff makes it public…and I’m humiliated again. I believe staff didn’t create the rejection, but the young lady staff publicly handled it to my humiliation because she had no protocol to follow that was better—and I can’t get them to think of a better way. Disneyland hurts me and causes a problem because they’re so busy trying to avoid a problem…and distances from a patron who otherwise has loved them for 60 years. This is management that can’t be seen in the bottom line.
