They work well - shading, reducing glare and heat into a conservatory!

From first contact to installation I found the process logical and thorough; from the web-based illustrations to the guidance for measuring the conservatory and aids like the lettered self-adhesive dots.

If I have any criticism, it's about the screws. They did not self-tap (cut into) well into the metal frame of the conservatory - one or two ended up with 'chewed' slots and I replaced these, one actually sheared! This despite drilling pilot holes. Not a big issue for me, however.

We love our new sails. They are perfect for reducing the glare without losing much heat, or the view of the sky.
The self measuring system was easy. The on-line design with Matt was great, and his advice with the shape of sails proved to be perfect.
We found the self fitting to be really easy, and our four large sails were up in just under 2 hours.
When a bird got in the conservatory and stained one of the sails, we took it down, did a 15 minute cold wash, then put it straight back up to dry. What could be simpler?

I decided to fit the shades myself and the whole procedure from initial survey to final installation was straightforward and intuitive. Matt was always on hand if I had queries and the interactive design process whereby our computers were linked was invaluable and even fun!
The shades themselves are very well made and have transformed a south facing conservatory which was unbearable in summer into an all year room. They also look great!

We moved recently and soon discovered that the conservatory needed a fourth sale. The sales had been fitted some years ago and were no longer readily available. I wanted, if possible, to match those in place and still in good condition. Shadeplus searched the warehouse and found one left. I have since ordered another which they are making for us. Great service. When our outmoded sails eventually wear out I expect we will be back in touch for up-to-date replacements.

After 5 years of use, between March and October each year, the sails are as good as new. They were easily installed by myself and their biannual handling takes less than 10 minutes. They are machine washed at the end of each season, and come up as good as new each season. The ''elasticated' binding has not lost its elasticity and ensures a wrinkle free effect. They are a great talking point and much admired. It must be appreciated that they are anti glare, not a heat reducing solution. We would not be without our easily managed and cleaned sails.

I recently extended my South facing conservatory from 4x3m to 5x4m. However what I didn't realise was the increase in glare on sunny days. I contacted Shadeplus to have 'made to measure sails' made. The service I received was excellent, Matt guided me through how to provide the measurements required and provided me with a plan of how the sails would look. The result was the provision of excellent quality sails and sturdy but not obtrusive fixings (mine were white coated). Although not cheap I believe you get what you pay for and am very pleased with the outcome and quality of the product.

I required blinds to shade a roof lantern whilst retaining the airy feel. I completed the online survey and then had a personal design experience combining a conversation with real-time design appearing on my screen. The blinds were easy to fit following the instructions. They look good and, most importantly, they are even more effective than I expected in reflecting the Sun's heat. Delighted!

From the beginning of the process to completion/after sales your company has provided an excellent service. The design and talk through of options and advice was invaluable and helped us feel confident that we had made the right decision in choosing Shadeplus.
The finished product was dispatched to the quoted time and installation was made easier by the clear and precise instructions.
The final icing on the cake is that they look great and do the job they were intended for.

I spent some time deciding which sail company to use to supply 2 sails for my conservatory roof and eventually settled on Shadeplus. The service from start to finish was excellent - polite, professional, friendly and efficient. I made the design decisions jointly with the company and thereafter was kept informed of progress at every stage. When the sails arrived they were exactly as expected and were easy to fit for the average DIYer (drill, screwdriver etc). They are well made and look like a quality product. Quite a bit of DIY measuring of the conservatory roof was required in the early stages of ordering, but that time was more than paid off by the excellent fit of the sails when erected. I can thoroughly recommend Shadeplus.

Having been very dubious at first at the prospect of fitting our own sails, thanks to the professionalism of Shadesplus who talked us through each step with the up most care, our sails are more than we could have asked for, providing us with the promised shade we required.

The whole process of designing and installing our sails was made easy from start to finish. The attention to detail, advice and guidance were first class. It took a while to get the design right but this was never a problem for Matt who went back to the drawing board again and again to get things just right.
Although we were initially fearful of installing them ourselves, Matt's cheerful reassurance gave us the confidence to give it a go and he was right - it was more than within our capabilities.
As for the sails themselves, the quality and standard of manufacture is even better than we were expecting and they look fabulous.
What a delightful company to do business with.

We've had our Shadeplus 'sails' for more than 3 years. They are brilliant - tailored design for our conservatory, easy to install, and simple to remove for cleaning/washing. They look great, give good shading and reduce glare, while maintaining multiple slim views of the day and night sky. Far more pleasing on the eye than blinds, and are pretty much 'fit and forget' between (in our case) annual removal (just a few minutes) for a spring clean. And the Shadeplus team were great throughout. My wife and I recommend unreservedly.

We would totally recommended these shades. So much cheaper than blinds and so easy to fit. Everyone we spoke to was very professional and helpful and our conservatory looks great. We would definately use this company again.

The quality of the custom-made sails was impressive and installation was straightforward.

Although these sails may seem costly, they are definitely worthwhile – as well as cutting out glare they are effective in maintaining a comfortable temperature on all but the hottest days. They are also quite stylish and complement the conservatory well.

A happy experience, I was a bit worried with the measuring up for the Sails, but it wasn't too bad in the end, it was very well explained.
When putting them up, I reckon if you miss-measured you could adjust slightly to no ill-effect. In the event all went well.
I haven't washed them yet so, can't comment about that.
Looks very stylish, when up.

They look great and are easy to fit

We have had the Sails for the best part of a year now and are more than pleased with them.They certainly keep the Conservatory cooler and are much neater than blinds,and far easier to take down as we did over Winter.
They have been much admired by by anyone who has come to the house and we love them,even tho on really hot days it does still get a trifle uncomfortable( but that would also be the case with blinds,as we experienced at a previous house).
Overall we are glad we spent the extra on them.And recommend them unresevedly.
