I bought from Coopers as 'sewing machine discount' based on their website and not realising the issues with customer service I might encounter. I wished I'd researched them more thoroughly first. It's was all ok until I wanted to return something or have a refund - thats when they turned very nasty and became verbally abusive. I couldn't get a word in edgeways to put my point. If my husband hadn't intervened I don't think I would ever have got my refund from this company whose customers are, let's face it, mostly women who just want to buy a sewing machine. Look very carefully into this company before you buy anything from them. One of the worse shopping experiences I've ever encountered.

I ordered a sewing machine on Tuesday and it arrived Thursday, well packaged and exactly as described, with all the extra bits. It's brand new, so I've not had to deal with any returns/services/etc. but thus far I really cannot complain, free delivery within 2 days is great. In my opinion and experience, people will quickly leave bad reviews, but few people will take the time to leave good reviews. Don't let the few bad reviews on the web scare you away from this company. My general rule of thumb is if I can find at least 50 bad reviews I'll avoid a company. Great company so far, very happy with my new toy! :)

I stumbled upon this supplier when looking with trepidation for a new basic machine as I am a beginner with machines and didn't want to spend much money . In their sale I bought an absolute bargain and am delighted with the product and their excellent service. A friend of mine who is a skilled seamstress was amazed at my blessed purchase and it's 15 year warranty and free servicing..So am I !!!
I would definitely recommend Coopers sewing machines.

A quick and easy system to use EXCEPT that where the delivery address is different from the cardholder's address (eg when sending a gift) there doesn't seem to be provision to enter a new name or a new telephone number for the addressee. (or if there is, then I didn't spot it). .A gift message capability would be a good idea too.

VERY poor and unprofessional company. Purchased a sewing machine from them, opened it up and tried it only to find it was faulty. That's fair enough, these things happen, But trying to return it to them for a refund is mission impossible.

The company INSIST that it i returned it in its original packaging, this in itself is AGAINST the DSR (Distance Selling Regulations). They then tell us we have to purchase some original packaging from them at a cost of £39 (this was £25 when we rang the day before). He then says "well we will not collect it, you will have to send it to us, then we will have to confirm that it is faulty". When I stated that they may just tell me that it is not faulty, his reply was "Most probably, do what you like, goodbye" then just hung up. We also tried to discuss the problem via thier live chat and the operator just closed the session.

As Fiona said, AVOID this company!!!

I am now taking this up with Trading Standards as they are going against the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Distance Selling Regulations!

Lots of choice, easy to order, free delivery within 24 hours, and answered queries quickly and cheerfully. Very good experience.

Order my machine quite late (7:30 pm-ish) on wed night and it turned up 9am friday morning. They said it would take 2 days and sure enough less than 48 hrs later it arrived!
Brilliant seen as I didn't even pay full price, 20% discount when I ordered and the machine was pretty much ready to go when I got it out the box.
Very simple to use, a great little machine, instructions very clear and good guide in the back on what thread/needles/fabric to be used together. Enough accessories to get going straight away!!
Really pleased I invested in this little treat for myself.

I received my Toyota Quilt sewing machine and have already made a Quilt I love it! The walking foot quilted on slippery satin material without a problem. The extra space with the table was just the thing specially with the measurements in view.

I ordered my machine late on friday afternoon. It arrived on Monday morning. I hadn't expected it to arrive as soon as it did. THe machine is just what I needed. It is light and has all of the functions plus more that I wanted. I am excited and looking forward to creating new designs.I would recommend this website to anyone I know.

I ordered my Steam press and within two days it arrived and the stand followed a couple of days later. The staff are very helpful giving advice on how to operate the item. Overall a pleasure to do buisiness with this company will definately use them again. Great service and great products!!!!!

when i ordered they said i would have my machine in a week, a week later i sent them an email asking where it was and got no answer, so i rang and they said i might have it by the end of next week, might! but to call if i dont have it by then,
