I wanted to sell my iPhone and this site led me to pounds to gadgets who I sent my phone to. 4 months later and many emails and calls later, I’ve finally accepted my phone has been stolen and I’ve been scammed. No help from this company who have helped with scam, money lost, phone lost.

Was quoted £405 for a ‘working’ iPhone 12. Clicked link which took me to GoodBuyTech and hassle. They offered £305! So asked for it back. Got £400 from Music Magpie no quibble!

Absolute Con. Only use if you want to give away your phone to con men.

Had a similar experience to a few others. They fail to verify the legitimacy of the sites they advertise and then do absolutely nothing to help when customers are ripped off. Lost an iPhone because of this terrible company. Have reported to Trading Standards but dread to think how many people have been victims of this.

They put me in touch with a scam website, poundstogadgets, leading to my losing an iPhone. They had 5 stars beside their name on the website. When I got to trustpilot, everyone was screaming about fraud at this company yet sellmymobile hadn't taken them down. .
Hopefully trading standards can do something about these guys.

STEAL my mobile I sent one phone to one company on their list and another to one on their list I know they have received them can’t contact them. Next email to trading standards

Used this site to find best price for my broken iPhone. They referred me to phones2pounds. I received my payment within 2 days. Happy days. Thanks 😊

They are not interested in older phones when you enter the details of older phones the website does not recognise them

I sent my old iPhone to this company in June 2021. 6 weeks later I had not heard anything from them. I chased them up and gave the tracking information. They had the audacity to tell me that it was pending from their end. It is either delivered or not. I again chased them they said “On the tracking history it is showing as the item being received by Manchester MC (See Photo),
We are based in Rochdale and only receive items when they come to our local depot.
We will have to give royal mail a call to find out what’s going on. Once we have a status update we will inform you on the matter”. Ok, so what does that have to do me as a consumer? This company provide the postage and paid for it. On 30/06/21, I again sent a chaser they advised of the following “ We have just checked again with Royal Mail and it is still showing up as being delivered to Manchester MC. They are not providing any further information for this. Unfortunately there is not much we can do regarding this as its out of control. We can only process items that we receive in our office. We have sent over a claim form for this package and we will just have to wait for a response on this. At this moment of time there is not much more information we can provide you. Whatever Royal Mail has advised us, we have forwarded on to you. If there is any further updates with your package, we will let you know”. Again I sent another chaser in August but this time the message changed to “We can only wait till these packages are released, before this we are unable to do anything with the order. Royal Mail did not give us any estimated time on delivery, they have only confirmed that its at the warehouse and is still going through the process.” What happened to claim that was being made?! Again in September I contacted them and they advised of the following “Unfortunately we don’t have no control over the packages once they are with Royal Mail. You will need to contact Royal Mail regarding this. We can only process orders which we receive at our office. We do offer a freepost service for customers to send out the handsets but we do advise any high value items should be sent via insured and recorded delivery in case there is any issues with the delivery. If the item does get released from the Manchester sorting office and is delivered to us, we will confirm this and let you know”. I contacted Royal Mail and they advised me that they could not do anything as I did not purchase the postage and it was company to chase on this. I asked them who is the regulatory body and what is there complaints procedure and they completely ignored this.

Moral of this story- DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY, WHAT THEY DONE IS BASICALLY THEFT! SELL YOUR OLD PHONES ON EBAY OR USE ANOTHER COMPANY

Selling my wife’s phone, this company aren’t the recycler but a “middle” man putting you in touch with trusted company’s. I’m afraid this is where it falll flat. The companies they suggest have hundreds of negative reviews based on how they act. Never use this company , wish I had done my homework

Sell my mobile total rip off, sent them two good quality phones, having accepted their quote, for them to suggest faults with both and offer pitiful price.
Disgraceful, there should be an Ombudsman for this industry.

Same scam over and over again. Same with the car companies. Obviously no regulation in this industry.

Complete Scam, They directed me to HandTex who scammed me by telling me that my perfect condition iPhone was badly scratched on the back and front, total lie and they tried knocking almost a third off the offer price. SellMyMobile have a Best Price Guarantee which is also a scam because when you tell them something like this has happened they take the scam companies side and refuse to accept the claim. Sellmymobile use these companies that are a con and will rip you off. Use eBay or a local store.

I will never use again and i will tell everyone i know through every platform available about how rubbish you are and what a bunch of scam artist work for you. your a pathetic joke!

Absolutely terrible. I sent in an immaculate phone which I have photos of. Received a review of the payment which was £60 less than originally offered as apparently my phone was scratched and dented. Definitely wish I read previous reviews

Wish I'd looked here before using this company. They directed me to HandTex who scammed me in the ways described below. SellMyMobile might believe in them but the companies they use are a con and will rip you off. Use ebay or a local store

I’ve been told I’m meant received a payment same day And then told 5 days but no one is answering the phone! I’ve not received my money. People sell there phones because they need the money then you do this to them!! I want my money or my phone back either way this isn’t acceptable behaviour. Don’t right auto message back saying you’re look into it I want someone to answer the phone deal with it.

I used sellmymobile comparison website to recycle my wife’s iphone8.

They say all the companies they identify have been checked and are trustworthy.

This is not the case.

I was ripped off by meelie mobile so wrote to sellmymobile, they still haven't responded to my email from 2 weeks ago.

They should have some accuntability.

I used SELLMYMOBILE to compare which company to sell my phone with. They are not replying to my complaint and I can’t get hold of them . They are linked to grade mobile !!! They received my phone on 5th February and that’s when everything stopped. They don’t answer the phone and send automated emails saying they are busy due to covid and will let me know in 24 - 48 hours. It is now February 15th and NOTHING!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
