Son unos timadores

Son unos timadores.
Compré un producto y llegué a un acuerdo para que me hicieran una rebaja. Hice la compra con tarjeta y a los dos días me informan que ya no tenían ese producto y que no me lo pasarían al cobro. El problema es que el banco ya lo había cargado, y ahora vamos a ver cuándo me lo abonan. Al final el que carga con el perjuicio económico es el cliente, para ellos todo son ganancias.
Me he sentido engañado por Selency, no me parece justo que te vendan un objeto ya desclasificado y que lo justifiquen porque no tienen actualizado el estado de sus productos.

Scam
Avoid this company, it is a scam.
I ordered a vase, paid 30 euros for shipping and the seller says they can't post it. When I get in touch with customer service, they are absent and I keep getting a message: something went wrong, please try again. It has been months, and I am fighting to receive a refund at this point.

Terrible Company

Terrible Company, absolute scam. Shipment price was included and then later after payment was made they said no pay the seller. I paid the seller and the item cam w which was not similar to the one ordered. When i tried to contact Selency they disconnect their phones. Will advise anyone to not use them.

TERRIBLE SELLER EXPERIENCE!!!

TERRIBLE SELLER EXPERIENCE!!!! It took nearly 7 weeks to plan the shipment for an order with 5 items / €16.000+ and is still has not been paid. They will pay 2 weeks after shipment (which they organise) that's 9 weeks of no stock & no payment. Selency is the worst of the worst platforms. No communication, unresponsive, late shipments, late payments. Stay away as a seller there are many other platforms that are more respectful.

High commission fees limit sellers' negotiating flexibility + negative reviews are censored

The order was well packaged and arrived quickly without any damage. On the other hand, I find that Selency lacks transparency when it comes to commission fees, which are only revealed at the time of payment and seem high to me (10% of the purchase price). What's more, since sellers also pay a commission to Selency (up to 25%), they are less inclined to negotiate. Some sellers say that they accept offers from buyers, but this is not always true: my last seller gave me a €5 discount (on €130, i.e. a 3.8% reduction...) to "make an effort". However, Selency states that you can negotiate up to 20% off the purchase price. These sellers use the 'make an offer' function to attract buyers, but are not prepared to negotiate the price. Based on this experience, I don't think I'll be buying from Selency again in the future; I'll go to eBay or Etsy instead, which are clearer and cheaper.

UPDATE 07/01/2025: **Selency censors customer reviews that criticise their policies**.
I wanted to leave a 5 star review for the seller, but Selency didn't like my criticism of their commission policy and deleted it; I can't even leave a new, modified review. Here is the review that was left:
"The order arrived promptly and was perfectly packaged. The plates matched the photos perfectly and I'm really pleased with my order. Thank you XXX! One small downside: due to the high commission Selency takes from sellers (up to 25% incl. VAT, in addition to the 10% incl. VAT charged to buyers), the price could unfortunately not be negotiated, but this is out of the seller's control. I think Selency should review the level of its excessive commissions, as this policy does not encourage customer loyalty, unlike eBay or Etsy.
Selency doesn't like criticism. One star less.

Do not order from Selency or buy from Seller Romuald D!

Do not order from Selency! Their customer service for obtaining refunds for broken/defective items is completely ineffective; I have been waiting over 2 months to receive a refund for a lamp that arrived bent and electrocuted me! Also I've discovered that Selency's policy for inspecting items upon receipt for such issues runs counter to what the French Post office allow. ALSO DO NOT BUY FROM SELLER ROMUALD D. If I could give BOTH Selency and Romuald D. ZERO STARS here, I would.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED: After this lamp electrocuted me - and shut all the power off in my house - I contacted Selency and they said that they would hold the seller Romuald D’s payment and that the seller would reach out to me and have me mail the lamp back at the seller's cost, after which I would receive my refund. A representative of Romuald D. contacted me the next day; I explained to him what happened, and he apologized for the incident and instructed me to NOT send the lamp back and asked if I had a picture of the box it arrived in. I told him I did not because the post office did not allow me to take pictures inside the station, YET Selency's policy is to immediately open the package and if the item is broken, to reject it and have it sent back through the same delivery service. So I explained to the Romuald D.'s representative that the post office in my French village is very small, and there were many people waiting in line, so I quickly unwrapped a part of package and the bottom of the lamp looked ok so I took the rest of the package home. After unwrapping it completely at home, I discovered that the lamp arm was bent and that it was dangerous – probably a defective ground in the lamp but it could have killed me. Romuald D's representative said he would get me a refund in a few days; after 2+ weeks, no refund after which I reached out to him again and he said that he would not be able to get me a refund until the Post office’s insurance paid the seller for defective delivery and that this might take “some time”. A few weeks later, I reached out to him again, and he reported no progress because without a picture of the box’s condition upon arrival to me, they had little leverage with the French Post office. He then asked that I now send the lamp back so his boss (Romuald D.) would have proof of defect and not think that I was keeping what might be a good lamp AND the refund. Clearly, any mutual trust was starting to erode. The representative provided me with the address but not a mailing label. I told him that Selency informed me that postage would be paid by the seller and that I was not going to spend more of my money to mail the lamp back at my cost unless it guaranteed me my refund. No response.
That’s when I reached back out to Selency to help resolve this, providing them the history above. All I got was a similar response – that the lamp left the seller in working order etc. and because I did not have a picture of the package on arrival, the seller could not get their refund from the French Post Office and thus the seller would lose their money if I received refund – never once thinking about me losing MY money. Selency does not appear to care about this. In my last attempt at resolution, I offered a compromise to both Selency and the Romuald D's representative: That I would not pay my money to ship the lamp back, and that I be refunded HALF the amount so that the seller and I equally share the costs of this unfortunate incident. Again, no response from Selency or Romuald D.
In the end, all online transactions are about trust, and in this case Selency chose to totally trust the seller’s word and not provide me with any. Selency and Romauld D. have basically stolen my money! I feel exploited and taken advantage of and as an architect, I will let all my colleagues and designers know both in France and in America and England to NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SELENCY OR ROMUALD D.!
As to the lamp, I’m throwing it out so that it never electrocutes anyone else again.

Thieves!

This is an extremely unreliable company with an absent customer service! I have ordered an item 2 months ago, it was delivered broken despite very high delivery fees. I did not accept the broken item and made a return, however, the company has still not processed by refund since that time! They have simply kept my money and stopped responding!! This is basically theft. Please do not order from Selency!

SCAM, Avoid!

Selency is a scam selling low-quality fake Ligne Roset Togo chairs which is confirmed by Ligne Roset themselves.

It's a business which is setup around forgery and infringing the copyright of the legit craftsmen and should be treated as such.
