Couldn’t make an account as their setup would not accept any password including proper autogenerated ones via Google or Apple . Wasted a lot of my time.

As Selco are genuinely trying to fix the problem I have now changed the rating to 5*.

I received outstanding Customer Service from Cath in the Filton, Bristol branch. On a few occasions recently, she went above and beyond to make sure that parts of my kitchen order was rectified. I don't even think Kitchen's are her department but she ensured to remain the person I could contact and kept lines of communication open. As a customer it can get frustrating being passed around to different people and having to explain the issue several times. Cath took the stress out of the situation. This was greatly appreciated as I was partway through a kitchen install.

I also want to thank Pedro for his understanding and patience with the issue. He had every reason to make my situation difficult but yet again, I received excellent customer service. Well done Selco, I appreciate the service and will be back again to complete the house renovation!

I recently visited Selco Tottenham to buy a toilet, and what started as a simple trip quickly became a reminder that the right person can make all the difference. The model I originally wanted wasn’t in stock, but I spotted a display toilet that I actually preferred. When I asked the first staff member at the counter if it was available, she told me it was discontinued and that they couldn’t sell the display because it would require unscrewing and replacing it. Fair enough — but something in me said, No, this is the one I want.

Then I met Shabazz. And that’s when the entire experience changed.

I explained the situation to him, and instead of shutting it down, he actually tried. He called the supplier, checked every option, and when it turned out the model truly was discontinued, he still didn’t give up. He brought over the manager, explained my request, and the manager agreed: “If they want it, sell it.”

And just like that, I left with the exact toilet I had my heart set on.

Shabazz showed what real customer service looks like — patience, effort, and a willingness to go above and beyond. He turned what could’ve been a disappointing visit into a genuinely positive experience.

Selco, give this man a raise! Employees like him are the reason customers come back. And sometimes, the first “no” is just a reminder to find the person who’s not going to block your blessings.

Exeter Selco are probably one of the nicest group of staff I have dealt when it comes to building suppliers always leave with a smile.

I ordered some HardiePlank from the Chelmsford store. The price was extremely competitive and all of the counter staff were very polite end helpful. I cannot fault the service.

Generally very good, the odd hicup now and again although it's normally resolved quite quickly.

Just popped in to pick up a couple of bits I had forgot and was served by a young lady who was so bubbly and professional, opened me an account and even reminded me to buy some screws and nails and gave me a pencil and pen.
Breath of fresh air

Selco crayford has a *can do * attitude which is refreshing. Nothing is too much trouble and is refreshing.
Definitely my go to for any builders material

Shame I had to pay a £25 delivery charge,as a trade customer,on a £130 purchase but it was very fast delivery and a lower initial price than most other local merchants

Great for the larger items with the free local delivery (though it was even better when it was only 100 ex VAT). Wide range and they are always honest and as flexible as they can be with delivery. In-store cutting service for sheet materials is handy too.

Some of the check out staff have a really bad attitude. This has happened to myself twice now. Very rude and think that they are doing us as customers a favour. Both of these men where young white men with one having a beard. Telling me when I questioned his attitude to shop at another store if I did not like his attitude,and having a bad attitude is universal these days. I am of mixed race and look Arab. So I don't know if its something that gets them going as the feeling in the UK is anyone looking like that is a illegal immigrant. I have been buying my DIY items at this particular store for manys years and i have never been treated this badly before, But I will never shop there again as I think it is pure racism, as I observed their interactions with Caucasians is much different to how they treated me on both occasions. The other staff especially the two ladies I spoke to about this issue were fantastic. A couple of rotten apples can damage your reputation. Very disappointed and disheartened.

Lisa was marvellous..... welcoming, patient, helpful, knowledgeable and all with a great smile! All staff should be like this. thankyou!

Fantastic service today from Selco Liverpool an in particular Steve their delivery driver. His help with the delivery ensured we were able to get on with our project immediately. Five stars well deserved !

I was about to do a small project of getting the ceiling and walls done, and I came across Bianca. She was truly amazing, helping me out with patience, courtesy and passion for her work.

Keep up the good work, Bianca.

Customers like me sometimes may come across asking questions, simply to understand how the process works, hence to get the job done cost-effectively.

Terrible customer service
I went a day and asked if they would cut a worktop in half and they said yes, I brought ir in next weekend and. They refused to do it because I did not buy it there despite the fact I was clear when I initially asked. A lady at the old Kent road came in and even thought the guy working there wanted to cut it she refused and did not allow him to do it, o top of that she was dismissive and rude. I would never ver buy anything in Selco again

ordered 2 tonnes of bark two weeks ago online, arranged for delivery for 27/10/2025 as the contract was for a school and the work needed to be done during half term, i was contacted Friday 24th October to confirm delivery would be for the Monday and they were in their words 'looking at the stock now', received an another call an hour later to be told they didnt have my order in stock!! They said to wait till Monday and the delivery guy will go pick some up. I waited till today and was told that the order would be delivered today or tomorrow. I received another call later on to be told they couldnt source my order and they would issue a refund. Absolutely no care was given to the fact this was under a tight deadline and putting me at risk of breach of contract, they just basically said they could give me my order but i needed to pay more money as they couldnt do it at that price (even though its still being advertised on their website) SCAM artists. Shoddy, unprofessional service and i would advise all traders to avoid at all costs!!!! Waste of time!!!

Excellent customer service at Selco Watford. Maria was very pleasant and helpful.
