friendly atmosphere, excellent service from Mr. MacDonald the optician, everything good

I really enjoyed my visit to the shop at St Ives (Cambs) to have an eye test and measurement for the new glasses that I wanted. It is always a pleasant visit and my sight was thoroughly checked by the experienced Alison followed by the highly efficient measuring by Charlotte (Loc). They have a large range of frames to try and I soon found the ones to my liking. It’ll be a pleasure to return for my fitting in a couple of weeks.

Seamless visit from start to finish. Was able to get an appointment online for my daughter within 48hrs. All staff at the Market Deeping Branch were beyond lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. Attentive, friendly and not rushed at all. No hard selling and very grateful for all the help we received. Thank you.

Graham was excellent in his explanations and in his listening to me, providing very useful guidance and sent me away hearing well.

Scrivens has always been absolutely amazing with my Daughter and we always have a very positive experience and every member of staff is great with her. Today I had my first appointment and it was just as positive, the whole team were fantastic, put me at ease and helped me from start to finish. Highly recommended them.

I have a fault with one hearing aid and at the last visit the audiologist advised me to bring it back so they could send it off for repair - essentially leaving me without one hearing aid.

I visited the Shop in Rugby to ask if they could reprogram an identical pair of hearing aids (which had become spare) with my prescription settings - that way I wouldn't be without a set of hearing aids. Then they could send my faulty hearing aid back to the manufacturer for an electronic repair.

The answer came back, "We are in contract with the NHS" and this is not possible.
Of course, it is if they are willing to discuss it with the NHS - They have a duty of care to me.

In other words, your health comes a distant second in place to Scrivens NHS contract,

This is no longer an issue - when it comes to renewal or eye care needs, Scrivens will not be taking my future business.

To conclude, consider any other option than Scrivens for your hearing aids or eye care. Health comes first every time.

I have been using the Broadstone branch of Scrivens for many years and am very happy. They are always friendly, happy to help and know who I am, even though it may be months since I stepped foot in the shop.

I have had a bad experience with Scrivens in Tonbridge.
I will firstly say, that the staff are lovely and helpful.
However when something went wrong and I complained to head office about the professional standard of care I received, I was completely dismissed out of hand.
They would not listen to me, and didnt answer any points I raised. All I wanted was an apology for a mistake made.
But it takes courage and morals to admit you were wrong. Scrivens obviously don't have those qualities.
I just dont want it to happen to anyone else.
Go somewhere else!

I’m very very happy with the short time I had to wait to attend my now second appointment. Was met with a smile and was seen more or less at my exact appointment time. instore staff were fine, but product very lacking, very cheap and flimsy glasses frame, lenses are very poor, left on desk and destroyed them even though not in direct sunlight, next to a spare pair from ALDI , that cost £1.50,Scrivens refused to replace them even though still in warranty, avoid at all costs...

Smita Chauhan did a through test and I had a screening too .....I was anxious as I had to have drops too and Sam made me at ease with a cuppa whilst I waited ....I was quite relieved to hear the cloud shadow was a cataract......100% fabulous service ....A huge thank you to all of you xx
