Fast delivery

Fast delivery. The data is a fraction of the price compared to normal providers. I can keep track of the data through my router. Excellent

Is this a con or is it brilliant? Update. It’s brilliant!

EDITED AFTER REPLY.
Would have been 5* but I’ve just today had a warning email that says that I’m near my limit having used 245gb of an UNLIMITED!!! O2. Is it unlimited or not?
Is there some tiny smallprint I’ve missed? If so let that be a warning to other customers.
At present I’m not happy but this could be a 1* or 5*. Until this is resolved I just can’t say. Will update.

CONSIDERING THE ANSWER BELOW I’m delighted to have my mind set at ease and can now say 5*. It is a slightly confusing mail and would suggest a change of wording but I’ll know next time.
I replaced a rather costly and not very reliable fibre connection with a TP link 5G router and an external antenna. Works a treat at a reliable 25mb/sec. We only get 4G so I’m quite impressed. Card offers great value. Will buy a year ahead now I know it works which offers even better value. Thanks Scancom.

Thanks for your review and for flagging this. Please don’t worry - the email you’ve received isn’t a warning that your data is about to stop, it’s just an automatic usage notification.

Some customers like to know roughly how much data they’ve used so they can monitor their own usage, so these emails are sent for information only and don’t affect your unlimited data or how your SIM works.

Delivery was fast.

Delivery was fast and no problems with the SIM card, easy to use. The only problem is Scancoms advert says Three, uses Three and Vodafone towers, but I have both sims and Vodafone is fast where the three sim is slow and keeps losing the signal.

Great deal quick delivery misleading…

Great deal,quick delivery misleading data requirements. This is a great deal for a lot of people requiring great broadband using Three. If you watch netfix, especially 4k or 1080p, or watch youtube regularly or online gaming you will zip through 500gb in no time. Need to think of this if you rely on your broadband. We used 500gb in 10 days, then you have to wait until 7th of each month to topup.Unlimited might be necessary for some people. But your out most of the time and use it jusf for internet or working from home, its a great deal.

Really great company

Really great company. Very responsive customer service. I bought an eSIM - it was easy to install and works fine (the connection is not perfect but that’s mobile company’s responsibility, not Scancom’s - I’m still in search of the perfect mobile operator in the UK)

Good product bad delivery

Great product at a great price, the delivery was badly let down by DPD the first card wasn't delivered after a week, so I order a second card then both cards were delivered together. The delivery is very expensive for a poor service.

Poor signal initially, resolved itself

The ordering and delivery were fine. The SIM card, with pre-loaded data on the 3 network, worked for the first couple of days and now says no connection. I'm not out in the sticks. Not great.
UPDATE 10/11/25- ScanCom did respond quickly to try and resolve my issue, however it has since sorted itself out. Connectivity seems decent in most places I have been (city and rural) with some black spots, which is to be expected

It's very good value for money but main…

It's very good value for money but main drawback is that you can't see your usage on THREE app.
You have to rely on your device to monitor your remaining allowances.

Truly appalling communication

Nothing has ever arrived. DPD claim that they couldn't find one 'parcel' and that the other was 'found empty'.

Scancom's support can't read/write. Responding with bizzarre things unrelated to my queries. 'Clifton' really needs some support training in clear communication and comprehension.

Update:
Someone on my estate found the package on the floor by a bush. Scancom sent it twice. Not their fault the courier was useless but their absolutely shambolic communication is their fault.

I couldn’t be patient, or understand what was going on because the emails just make no sense. E-sins being mentioned, when I didn’t order an e-sim. Random replies about transferring sims, when my question was where is my physical SIM card.

Now that the card has arrived, it works. That’s the only saving grace here. I will be monitoring traffic closely and ensuring I get what I paid for.
