A few booking errors,mine not Red Funnel s,easily rectified over the phone before we travelled.
An easy journey from there..

Everything went seamlessly

Easy to book a crossing online. Ferry crossing was well organised to get on and off in your car.

Good experience

Well organised from the moment we arrived at the check-in. The ferry was very clean and tidy. A very pleasant trip to the IOW.

I missed the 2pm ferry due to a crash on the A34 with long delays. The lady on the check in booth was very helpful & said I could go on the 3pm ferry. The trip was very pleasant with adequate seating. Refreshments were available & at a reasonable price. All in all a very good experience!

Smooth and relaxed sailing

From the moment we pulled up at check in at Southampton port, to be greeted by name was lovely. All staff were friendly and to get a wave from the car deck staff too. Our return from the isle of Wight was just as good and we wouldn't hesitate in using red flag again.

Straight forward trip enjoyed Isle of Wight and good trip back again

What we like about the Isle of Wight is that it takes only one hour to get to from Southampton where we live. Once your there it’s easy driving, no motorways. There is a good choice of beaches, countryside, attractions for all age groups.
We booked our ferry crossing and accommodation through Red Funnel, the booking agent was very helpful.
We are looking forward to returning to the Island.

We always book the VIP lounge which we find excellent as we have driven down to Southampton and it is good for refreshments and usually not crowded.
Our only complaint is that we are elderly and although we can go up in the lift the last flight of stairs does not have a lift and they are very difficult to climb.

Happy with travel although prices on boat are just as expensive as buying a travel ticket. Could do with more benefiting travel for islanders as people on UC can get any travel for £60 and people that work have to pay over £100+.

Very caring staff who pay attention to small details

Excellent journey both ways. Quick and efficient at boarding and disembarkation. Clean and comfortable lounges to use whilst sailing. We only had drinks, so can’t comment on food options. The drinks were good and fairly priced. Looking forward to using them again.

After a very stormy journey down to Southampton, the efficiency and calm reception at Southampton and then East Cowes is just what a traveller requires.

Red Funnel were very efficient in getting us on board, comfortable crossing and disembarked with no issues. The return trip was equally impressive especially as on arrival to the port they were able to put us on an earlier departure without any quibbling, well done.

Arrived early for both sailings and with no fuss, allowed us to sail early. Staff polite and welcoming. Ferry clean and comfortable

Although I’m an Island resident and should know better (!) I made a silly error when booking on line which I realised only when attempting to board in East Cowes. My Southampton destination was a cruise ship. Your colleagues sorted this all out for me, even though this meant “opening” a seemingly closed time slot. Timely arrival to ship achieved! Thank you.
