What is Rakuten Rewards?
Rakuten Rewards is a Cash Back website that pays users for shopping at select stores. We are one of the biggest Cash Back companies in the world, and we have been making the e-shopping experience more enjoyable since 1997. We have over 10,000 employees, over 17 million U.S. members, and over $3.7 billion distributed in Cash Back, making us an established, trusted program on the e-commerce scene. How does Rakuten work?
Getting Cash Back rewards from Rakuten is easy. Simply sign up for a free account, and then start shopping on the Rakuten website, through the Rakuten app, or by downloading the Rakuten browser extension. Money gets added to your Cash Back balance when you shop at an affiliate store. You can then get paid via PayPal or check. If it seems too good to be true, here’s how it works: Companies in Rakuten’s affiliate network pay us commissions whenever one of our members shops with them, and we share those commissions with you as Cash Back.
How is Rakuten different?
The word “rakuten” means “optimism” in Japanese. It's a word that defines the way Rakuten operates, from the opportunities we provide our members to the brands we affiliate with. We are different because we want to make spending money a more rewarding experience for all our members. Membership is completely free and there’s no limit to how much money you can earn in Cash Back. There are also no rebate forms you need to mail in and there’s no complicated points system that hides how much money you’ve actually earned. We do as we promise and pay you in cash, which is why Rakuten is a global leader on the e-commerce scene.
What stores can you shop at?
Many stores and companies are part of the Rakuten affiliate network, from big-box stores such as Target and Walmart to websites such as Hotels.com and Upwork.com. Rakuten is expanding to all sorts of businesses so you can make money while eating at restaurants, planning trips, and fixing your car. Download the browser extension, Rakuten Cash Back Button, if you want to stay up to date on all the stores you can earn Cash Back with. It will highlight available offers in search results and alert you to store sites that are part of the affiliate network.
When will I get Cash Back?
Rakuten members get their earned Cash Back every three months. Stores will verify with us that the order was complete when you purchase with them, which can take a few hours to a few days, depending on the store. Once the purchase is verified, we’ll let you know Cash Back has been added to your account. Any order that’s still pending on payday will be added to the next payment cycle.

Compré un producto a través de Rakuten…
Compré un producto a través de Rakuten a un vendedor externo. El artículo llegó defectuoso y el propio vendedor autorizó la devolución, proporcionándome una etiqueta de envío de Chronopost.
Realicé la devolución correctamente y el seguimiento (XT413164922TS) confirma que el paquete fue entregado en la dirección indicada por el vendedor.
A pesar de ello, el vendedor se niega a realizar el reembolso alegando que no ha recibido el paquete. Rakuten, por su parte, se limita a indicar que se trata de un vendedor externo y no asume ninguna responsabilidad, aun habiendo reconocido el caso y contactado con el vendedor.
Actualmente el caso está en trámite con ECC-Net (Centro Europeo del Consumidor) y SignalConso en Francia.
Mi experiencia es clara: si compras en Rakuten a vendedores externos, puedes quedarte sin producto y sin dinero sin una solución efectiva por parte de la plataforma.

For the most part it works well! For whatever reason Kohls and Target purchases don't register always so I have to contact support but typically the team sorts it out for me. Thanks so much ebates/rakuten!

I love this service
I love this service. I used to get cash back in the form of checks just for doing my everyday shopping wich has been going on for years, but now with their direct deposit feature, I get my money faster. And all I do is shop. What a great service. Keep up the great work!!!

I use this most of the time
Using Rakuten is easy and the checks automatically come to me. I have had a couple of times where the plug in got deactivated and I didn't get credit for the purchase. Today it worked fine.

Great customer service!
I'm fairly new at using Rakuten but really like the idea of cash back on purchases from so many stores. I'm so used to just going online & buying what I need, I forget to check their huge list of businesses they work with before making a purchase.
Yesterday I did just that by mistake, made a large purchase from a dog food company online (directly from that company) Hours later, I wondered if they were on Rakuten's list & yep, they are. I wrote customer service & heard back from them the same day. They couldn't find my order online but requested a copy from me, which I sent.
Today, their customer service notified me that they would post the cash back for my purchase even though I hadn't thought to check into it before making the purchase.
Very nice rep, fast & friendly service and today the cash back is posted on my account. Woohoo!

I love RAKUTEN! Imagine getting a check just because you purchased something you wanted and it is a company working wiht Rakuten!!! Love when Rakuten pops up when I am making a purchase to activate and they will send me a percentage of my purchase because they are partners with the company I am purchasing from! SWEET!
