We recently had our ARLA audit conducted by Darren Kitchenside, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. The audit was not only thorough but also extremely valuable for our business.

Darren took the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring we clearly understood each step of the process and the reasoning behind the requirements. His professionalism, knowledge, and approachable manner made what could have been a daunting exercise into a very constructive and positive experience.

He highlighted key areas for improvement while also reassuring us on the processes we are doing well. This gave us both confidence and practical guidance to further strengthen our compliance. When my company received the ARLA compliance review notification, I have to admit I was anxious - as a new business owner I was worried it felt like a penalty and a hinderance instead of assistance.

But I couldn't have been more wrong - Darren was attentive, personable - and really got to understand my business and made key points and gave a lot of information/templates which have helped me position my company on better footings!

We wanted to extend our sincere thanks to Darren Kitchenside for taking the time to visit our offices and conduct the compliance audit. His friendly and professional approach made the process both constructive and reassuring. We truly appreciated how he listened to our responses and offered clear, practical guidance.

When the original email request came through for a Compliance Audit, a sense of terror grabbed me! However, having now had the call with Darren, this couldn't have been further misplaced.

Within minutes, Darren explained the purpose of the call and I felt relaxed. We then reviewed a variety of themes through the business and had great insight into how we can improve in certain aspects. This was then followed up within 24hrs with an incredibly detailed set of notes and actions for us to take.

Whilst initially concerned about audits such as these, I quickly realised that Darren Kitchenside was very informative and "on our side" with lots of useful pointers. Audits — especially your first — can feel quite daunting, but I was so relieved to quickly realise this was going to be a smooth, positive experience. Darren’s approach was both friendly and knowledgeable, which made all the difference.

We did a thorough review of our website, compliance documentation, and talked through some small tweaks we could make to go above and beyond the standard requirements. These were quick, simple changes that left me feeling confident we’d dotted every i and crossed every t.

I can genuinely say I thoroughly enjoyed the session, and for any agents with an upcoming audit — don’t stress! You’re in great hands with Darren.

Very very displeased with the service and communication from Propertymark. No one took my queries seriously and I was misadvised on so many levels which led to frustration. My concerns were not heard and I do believe it’s because of my lack of knowledge regarding this and they took advantage of that.

Using their qualifications was a recommendation and I honestly wished I did more research into it. I do strongly believe I was duped and certainly didn’t get my money’s worth.

I am honestly disappointed with it all. I was given so many excuses which didn’t tally with what other advisors informed me of and lost out on money.

Out of all the advisors I spoke to and emailed, Lucy was the only helpful person.

Overall, appalling service.

This company appear to have taken control to a new level. If you want to join the main body they force you to take out their other pricey add ons. They also don't respond to e-mails and you have to deal with several people (some rude) to get an answer.

Rather than a stern question and answer session, it was much more of a friendly conversation about what we do and how, undertaken in a positive and friendly manner as opposed to the adversarial manner I half expected. Not only was Darren very easy to talk to, he gave some very practical and pragmatic advice and went further than I could have hoped for in looking at our specialist situation and post-meeting took the time and trouble to resolve an issue that has benefitted us.
