If you value your time and mental well-being please do NOT book with this airline because they will completely ruin your travel plans. Not only did they change my flight time 3 times, they also failed to bring passengers luggage from Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar leaving many of us without essentials, including personal care items and for many, medications. Very unhelpful customer service and until now still no luggage.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Our flight arrangements were changed four times, including an airport change from Arusha to Kilimanjaro, where we were then told our flight was cancelled. After further delays, we finally landed in Zanzibar at 3 AM on Monday — without my wife’s suitcase.

It is now Wednesday evening, and she still hasn’t received it. Communication has been appalling, and the only assistance during the delays was a $10 food voucher, barely enough for two slices of bread.

This has wasted precious time on our honeymoon. We will never fly with Precision Air again.

Very disappointing experience with this company. The service was poorly managed, communication was unclear, and customer support was not helpful when problems arose. I expected much better professionalism and reliability. I would not choose this company again

The worst airline experience I have ever had. Precision Air cancelled our flight, and when we finally travelled the next day, they failed to send the luggage for most of the passengers, leaving us without our bags.
This caused enormous stress and disrupted our plans. We were left without essential belongings and had no clear information about when our luggage would arrive.
Cancelling a flight is already frustrating, but failing to transport passengers’ luggage on the replacement flight is completely unacceptable. Very poor communication and an extremely disappointing level of service. I would not recommend Precision Air.

Without a doubt, and by far, the worst airline I have ever travelled with ……..: and I have travelled with hundreds !!!!!! 5 changes/cancellations to our flights before I finally got a confirmed flight …….: only problem is that they changed arrival destination from Dar Es Salam to Zanzibar, so just a multi hour ferry crossing away. THEN flight tome changed by 7 hours THEN it was further delayed by an hour. And the final nail in the coffin ……,, they forgot to bring EVERYONE’S hold luggage. Avoid at all costs - I wish I had read reviews on here before and chosen to fly Air Tanzania. Shambolic

Shameful experience.
We are with a 4 years old child stuck in between security and gate. Our flight was anticipated by half an hour, we rushed to get on time only to discover, at check-in opening, that our flight was rescheduled (not delayed) by 2:20 hours (check-in closed afterwards). No one was there to notify or advice, no one took care of us with a bit of water or food, no one assisted us and the customer service just doesn't exist. We are alone just hoping the flight will actually depart today.
Avoid, this is just a shame.

The worst flight expérience 11h in the boarding area for a 20min flight.

They delayed BOTH our first and second flights of several hours with very short notice, we had to sleep at the airports for 9 hours and the second time we nearly missed our coincidence. The screens at the airports still showed the flights as scheduled. This flight company is NIGHTMARE material, PLEASE please stay away!!!

I was travelling from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam on 8 August, with my flight scheduled for 20:00 hrs. I arrived at the airport at 19:10, which I believe was more than reasonable for a domestic flight. However, there was no one at the check-in counter. I waited for over 20 minutes before the staff finally arrived around 19:40.

What was even more frustrating was being blamed for supposedly arriving late, when I had actually been at the airport since 19:10 waiting for the airline staff. The flight then left at around 19:40, before its scheduled 20:00 departure time, leaving me and other passengers behind.

For a domestic flight, I find it extremely difficult to understand why passengers who were already at the airport could not be accommodated. There should have been better coordination, and at the very least, proper communication with passengers.

We were then told that the flight had been rescheduled to 22:30, but there was still no proper communication. It is now past the rescheduled time and we are still at the airport waiting, with no clear information about when the next flight will actually depart.

This is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication, poor handling of passengers and overall customer service have been extremely frustrating.

I would also like clear information on how passengers are supposed to request a refund or compensation for the costs and losses resulting from this situation.

Honestly, this has been one of the worst airline experiences I have ever had. I would seriously think twice before using this airline again.

They changed our flight with notification..2h delay...then when we got the boarding passes we saw that the flight was scheduled after 3 more hours.
But noone let us know about it..we were waiting for 3 hours in the airport without offering water or a snack.
Stay away.

Precision Air provided one of the worst airline experiences I've ever had. They changed my flight schedule without explaining the reason and moved me to a much later flight, even though there was another flight departing close to the original time.
The airline announced a delay of only 2 hours and 45 minutes, which appeared to avoid providing meal vouchers to passengers. They also had no working card payment machine to process excess baggage fees, causing unnecessary inconvenience.
Based on this experience, I will not fly with Precision Air again and cannot recommend this airline to other travelers.

They "forgot" our lagguage. So we Had no clothes, nothing,... Guy at the reception told us ITS normal vor precision Airline. Never again!

We used this airport to travel to Zanzibar and, unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. We hope this review may be helpful both to fellow travellers and, above all, to those responsible for managing the facility.
On the security front, we noticed several concerning issues: the scanners did not appear to be working properly, and we witnessed situations that would not be acceptable in an international airport setting — such as a passenger presenting a photo of their passport on a mobile phone rather than the original document. Air travel security is paramount, and we sincerely hope that stricter measures will be put in place as soon as possible.
At check-in, we were informed of an aircraft change — from SafariLink to FlightLink — with a departure delayed by approximately one hour, without any clear explanation or apology. We also noticed a noticeable disparity in the treatment of local passengers versus tourists, with baggage checks applied inconsistently.
Particularly frustrating was the handling of our carry-on bag, which was checked into the hold without any opportunity for discussion, leaving us concerned about having the essentials for our holiday. On several occasions, staff members did not demonstrate the courtesy and professionalism one would expect in a tourist-facing environment.
We understand the challenges involved in managing an airport serving such a popular tourist destination, and we acknowledge that this is currently the only practical connection to Zanzibar. For this very reason, we believe it deserves greater attention and investment — in terms of infrastructure, staff training, and safety standards — in order to meet the expectations of international travellers.

If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, do not book with Precision Air. They are running an operation built on blatant lies, utter incompetence, and zero accountability.
​We were flying the short hop from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam, but a delay turned into a complete nightmare. Instead of being transparent, the ground staff continuously lied to our faces and kept flashing completely false information on the flight boards. Because they refused to give an honest update, we were trapped waiting and ultimately missed our onward journey connection out of Dar es Salaam.
​The absolute kicker? When we demanded a solution for the mess they created, the staff checked out completely. They literally told us that their boss and their entire customer service department do not work after 8:00 PM.
​So if Precision Air ruins your travel plans in the evening, you are completely stranded. They do not care. They offer zero solutions, zero empathy, and shut down operations when passengers need them most.
​Unprofessional, deceitful, and completely unreliable. Save yourself the nightmare and book with literally any other airline or take the ferry.

Extremely disappointing experience with Precision Air.

Our flight was scheduled to depart at 9:00 AM, but it was cancelled. We received no information for several hours and only at 1:00 PM were informed that we had been rebooked on a 2:00 PM flight.

At 2:00 PM, we still did not depart. That flight was also cancelled and moved again to 3:40 PM.

We spent hours at the airport with almost no communication from the airline. Passengers were repeatedly told to wait, but no clear explanation or reliable updates were provided.

Delays can happen, but the lack of communication and organization was unacceptable. We lost an entire day waiting in the airport without knowing when we would actually fly.

Very frustrating experience. I would not choose this airline again.

I purchased flight tickets through an OTA from JRO to ZNZ six weeks before the departure date.
We were already in Tanzania, and three days before the flight I received an email from the OTA telling me Precision Air had cancelled my flights.
I checked their website straight away and the exact same flights were still being advertised, just at more than double the price I’d paid.
I’d never experienced or even heard of an airline cancelling flights like that purely because they wanted more money.
The likes of Precision Air are exactly why African countries are where they are economically. Things will only change when the Precision Airs of the continent understand that they’re part of the infrastructure and actually bear some moral and ethical responsibility for their country’s reputation.

A comedy of errors trying to pay for excess baggage and then half the flights bags were left behind. Avoid this carrier

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Precision Air.

On a domestic flight from Kilimanjaro (JRO) to Zanzibar (ZNZ), an item was stolen from my checked baggage. The bag itself was delivered, but a multitool I had placed inside was missing when I opened the bag at my hotel.

I immediately contacted the airline and provided everything they asked for: baggage tag, boarding pass, photos of the missing item, photos of the bag, and a written statement from the passenger who checked in the luggage. Despite this, Precision Air refused to process the claim because I did not have a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).

The problem is that airport staff told me a PIR cannot be issued when the bag is delivered, even if items inside are missing. In other words, Precision Air is demanding a document that is impossible to obtain in this situation — and then using that as a reason to deny any responsibility.

Over several months of emails, the airline gave no meaningful assistance, no investigation, and no goodwill compensation, even though the loss occurred while my baggage was in their custody.

This left me with a financial loss and no practical way to have the case handled.

I cannot recommend Precision Air based on how this situation was handled.
