We are writing to express our disappointment and frustration regarding the way our mortgage application was handled by Precise Mortgages.

Over the past several weeks, we provided all the information and documentation requested often multiple times and were led to believe that our application was progressing positively. Despite this, we have now been informed that our mortgage has been declined.

What has been most distressing is the lack of timely communication and the long delays in receiving updates. This left us in an extremely stressful situation, particularly as we had already sold our home and begun packing in preparation for our move. To receive a decline after such a long and unclear process has caused us significant emotional and logistical strain.

We fully understand that not all applications can be approved. However, the experience could have been handled with greater transparency, communication, and consideration for the position of your customers. We have been paying our current mortgage for the past 6 years without ever missing a payment and you are making it so difficult for young people to buy a house.

We kindly request a detailed explanation from the underwriters or decision-makers regarding the reasons for our decline, so that we can better understand and address any issues before reapplying elsewhere.

We hope you will take this feedback seriously and review your communication practices to prevent other customers from experiencing the same level of uncertainty and stress.

The great mortgage company, professional and efficient service, no direct contact with the client and the mortgage advisor arranged everything. If the company gives the great mortgage rate after the fixed period then definitely continue with the business with them.

Shocking Service.

The intermediary support team appear to be based in a foreign country. Most of them appear to lack the ability to speak English fluently and it is very difficult to understand what they are saying. Their speech is unidiomatic and riddled with grammatical and pronunciation errors which combine to create confusion as to what they actually mean.

Very frustrating to deal with this lender if you need to call up to query anything.

The online portal is also a shambles and malfunctions more times than it works.

Really disappointed and will be actively avoiding using Precise for any future cases.

I don't expect anyone to be perfect but when it's a regulated mortgage application, lenders should have native speaker level staff available.

Great service from start to finish. Buying our first house with Precise Mortgages was so easy. Communication was prompt and clear. After previously having issues with my credit, I was very apprehensive about ever getting a mortgage, but Precise managed to work with my mortgage broker and get us a great rate and even better - a mortgage! Even though we are just starting our mortgage with Precise, they have been nothing but excellent from what we have experienced so far. Thank you Precise for helping us buy our dream house!

I have sent several emails and even a recorded delivery letter.
They have ignored every single attempt at communication.

Precise is the best lender, they are straight forward and precise as their name states.

I found that on redeeming my mortgage with Precise I had to speak with a call centre not based in the UK. The lady I spoke with was extremely hard to understand and I repeatedly said I could not understand her. Later in the day I received an email with all the information needed. I had been given a figure over the phone and scanned the email to confirm the final amount. My bank required me to have the paper copy of the Redemption before I could transfer the money. This arrived later by post. When I paid the final figure it was brought to my attention that were additional daily charges after the date of my initial call still outstanding. This was not explained to me, so came to me as a surprise. Precise needs to do better at ensuring the people they employ can speak English clearly.

The name is accurate, Precise like everything to be precise! Mainly seamless process with a few unnecessary stressful holdups thrown in the middle. Being a broker-only communication company meant holdups were lengthened. But came through all good in the end.
