Have been buying from potteries auctions for a number of years now and have always been delighted with the customer care they provide , when obtaining condition reports for items I'm interested in bidding on.
Bidding online is so easy with whichever platform you use , payment for won lots is likewise easy to do whether it's by bank transfer or through easylive and the saleroom.com after each sale.
Postage and packaging is always expertly done and I have always received my items within a few of days of each auction ending.

Great Auction House, postage and packaging very reasonable. I bought 2 Lots on 7th July 23, and requested postage and packaging, the rates are very reasonable and superbly packed, and I received the goods on Monday 17th July 23 as promised. Cannot fault the service from this Auction House, and very polite when answering the phone. Highly recommend, and hopefully will be using again. Thank you to all concerned.

My recent experience with Potteries Auctions has been very positive and enjoyable. I bid online using EasyLiveAuction.com on 5th July 2023 and was lucky to win the item I was bidding on. I had previously enquired and requested a condition report and also a packing and postage quote which I received both by return e-mail. I must say that their postage and packing service is one of the best I have used and is second to none all at a very reasonable cost. I received my package in just a few days with the item well packaged. Finally I have no hesitation in recommending Potteries Auctions and their ‘in house’ P & P service. If only all Auction houses were as good as Potteries Auctions. Well done.

I wrote a review recently criticising Potteries' service. An item for which I had paid had gone missing and I suspected foul play. However, it transpired that the item had been unintentionally sent to the subsequent Lot buyer. They apologised and put me in touch with the individual and all has now been resolved. Well done, Potteries, on rectifying a difficult siyuation!

Do not use this company, I phoned up and spoke to Joe about a price for selling my 1400 Pieces of Old Country Roses but he said he would have to have a word with Scott, he then phoned me back and said I would get between £6000 and £10000 in the Auction so I took it all down and it was split into two (October and November)... Anyway when they sent me their first estimates they were pittence, nothing what I expected (Far Less Than £1 Per Item) so I emailed them and set my Reserves at much highter rate but was told I couldn't put them on at that because the items wouldn't sell... so I regrettably lowered them but got nothing what I wanted... very, very poor indeed plus as you would expect I was annoyed too

Fast forwarding to the second Auction, again they sent their estimates, again they were extremely low so I set my estimates high once again but stuck to my guns this time because they wanted me to reduce them for a quick sale which I refused to do... so nothing sold which to be honest did me a massive favour because I wasn't giving them away for nothing

Then this morning I went to pick up my china, went inside and started sorting it into boxes, I then put it into my car when a fellow customer said "Isn't That Old Country Roses Beautiful China" to which I replied it's "Really Nice and very Classic isnt it" but once the customer left Scott got very, very aggressive and said "What Are Talking To Customers For" to which I replied I can talk to anybody... then once I got inside to pay my bill he continued his rant so I replied and said "You Quoted Me Between £6000 and £10,000" then he lost it completely, told me pay my bill and leave as well as telling me I was barred... this was no way to treat or speak to a customer...

So as result of their ways I am going to give them a 1 Star but to be honest if I could I would put a minus 10 Star... basically people not use but if you do use at your peril because they will also fleece you with their obsene charges...

I have used Potteries auctions several times and have always found staff helpful and caring with my articles entrusted for sale.
I was delighted with the results from the latest sale as all my items exceeded the estimated amounts.
Will use them again and thanks for keeping me up to date prior to the auction

As a collector, of chess sets I have purchased on a few occasions from Potteries auctions.
This company offers a first class in house Post and
Packing service.
Unlike some so called specialist shippers, the
delivery time is fast , post & packing is excellent ,
and at a very reasonable cost.
Also they don't have the sheer nerve to charge
users of their services TO P H O N E them.
The whole wretched business of getting items
at a fair price and quickly is best handled by auction
houses , who offer in house shipping.
The current practice of giving a selected few
specialist shippers a monopoly is a disgrace , in my
opinion
as they can and do overcharge , offer a delivery at
A S N A I L's P A C E.
The result being is I refuse to use these firms, and in
some cases I won't bid at some auction houses who
sadly by neglect kill off bidders for some items.

I won an item at this auction online, at first they tried to charge me excessive postage cost, so I made it clear that the items were not that heavy, they reduced the price of postage but still expensive in my opinion (I bought hundreds of items online from the UK for about 8years) so I know the postage rates well enough.

In the process of payment they replied promptly (within 1-2hours). Once payment settled, they shipped my item 6 days later.

One week after shipment I tracked the shipment and it showed on the tracking that the parcel was returned by the courier one day after being picked up. I then contacted the auction if they knew this and wanted to know what's happening and why my parcel hasn't arrived yet (now has past way over estimated date), and they are hardly get back to me!

Update: Potteries Auction get back to me on 8/10/22 and said that they have raised claim to the courier company and they will wait until they get the money for the lost parcel and then refund me ONLY for £60. Fyi, I paid the item £167.50. I demanded their proof of communication with the courier company or any form of letter that states that the parcel has LOST but they haven't provide any.

If it isn't enough that they make around 50% of the item from buyer and seller they then will rip you off for posting and packing....up to three times more than it should cost to post.

As a phone bidder I was thoroughly impressed with the service received, got my item too which was brilliant. The sale room on live viewing looked professional and entertaining.
