I always like the choices offered. On the last build they did for me i was very pleased with the quality of the work.

This will make the third computer I've gotten from Portatech in my life time, the previous two were ordered about seven years ago. Both of those computers are still running, still fine, and have had no significant issues. Good price, easy to work with people.

I have dealt with them before but this time it was like another business. I had to get a refund because nobody had seen that my order was rush and had expedited delivery. i had to notify them that they still hadnt even sent my package off a week and two days. Really hate to see a company do so poorly in both the way they handle the business they run and the people that support their business.

Portatech has good selection of components for computer customization and on the positive note, they will test out the whole setup for you before shipping. I haven't found any shop that does that, in turn it will saves you a lot of time and trouble when parts were not working properly.

Easy to use, helpful customer support

The Website is Very Fast and Responsive. Easy to find what you want, and the fastest Checkout I have ever seen! I hope the delivery and the product is as impressive?

The build process is fantastic, very easy to use. The 'Click for Details' function for each item is great to have for comparison.
I just ordered, so cannot give more feedback on service, etc, but the build and ordering were quite streamlined. I would have liked to have more case options; the basic case only has USB 2.0 front ports... I don't want all the flashy stuff, and the next option for a plain case with USB 3.0 was a $69 upgrade. I looked at cyberpowerpc.com but they don't offer the flexibility of PortaTech... you can't opt out of Win10 for instance: have it, don't need it again!

I'll update this review as time goes on. Hope the rest of the experience is as good as the initial order process. If it is, will add another star!

Update: So, it took 3 weeks to receive my order. To be fair, it was just outside the projected delivery window. Still, 3 weeks for a case, mobo, cpu, SSD, and memory is a stretch. There are some reviews that say communication is not there... I had rapid email response for several questions, and while for a billing question was sent to a center in India, my tech question was taken by the company in Cali.

While it took 3 weeks to get my barebones gear, I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend this site for your upgrades, just be aware that it may take some time. For the price, the time is worth it.

I did lots of searching for the right computer to fit my video editing needs, and found it impossible to find one that had all the features I wanted. The closest I came to all the features I wanted, was almost 700.00 more than what I ordered from Portatech. This unit is upgradeable for future improvements if needed. Good job Portatech.
