Having previously using petplan for several years I was slightly sceptical about using the company as the policy was soo much cheaper, however, I need not have worried, slightly slower but service was excellent. I would definitely recommend the company.

The cover is very good and hopefully, havent had to use it yet and hope not to but rather be covered then not, just think that if it not been use the increase shouldn't be so high each year otherwise I'd give a 5 star

Waste of money
I submitted a claim when my dog tore a cruciate ligament which was immediately rejected. I tried to appeal but had no response.
Useless insurance policy.

Over the last 12 months each of my policies has gone up on average £60 each, meaning im now paying a extra 240 a year, yet my vet fees havent gone up. One very unhappy customer, and as akey worker for an emergancy mental team in the nhs i find this very difficult to take.

I have used paws and claws for 5 years now for both of my dogs,which I think speaks volumes in itself.When having to communicate about any problems I have had with my dogs.I have always been treated kindly and professionally,and any claims I have had have been paid out really quickly,with no hidden agenda.So I can highly recommend using Paws & Claws.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Sue. The reason why location in one of the rating factors is because it is considered part of the risk in insurance. For example, the more claims made, the higher the risk within that area, but we also take into consideration the cost of living within the area as this could determine how much veterinary practices charge for treatment.
There are a wide number of rating factors that can cause premiums to increase/ decrease and location is just one of them. We also look at the claims made on the policy, the age and breed of the pet, as these all contribute to the risk.

Recording information
I had a telephone conversation regarding the breed of my dog that I had a claim in for, but it wasn’t recorded therefore the claim was put on hold until they had the information yet I had no communication stating this . Once I rang again the claim was soon paid out.

Easy renewal process - great customer service!
This is my 3rd year renewing with Paws and Claws. I was really happy with my renewal quotation this year and found the process of renewing very quick and easy. My call was answered swiftly, the agent very helpful and friendly and I was able to switch to monthly payments to spread the cost of my cats cover. The agent gave me the option to read all the important info via email, rather than recite it to me - which I preferred. From start to end I was on the phone for no more than 5 minutes.
I now have peace of mind should anything happen to my pet for the next 12 months! Fantastic service - highly recommended!
