This is a really useful resource that shows when test results will be available. Then it breaks down the medical jargon/abbreviations and handily keeps scans and tests in separate folders meaning you can quickly check dates and details. I would recommend particularly for tracking any ongoing treatment.

This is a complete waste of time. There is no information on the site. You are led to believe its part of the NHS when its not its a private company. To close the account you have to contact your care team. I want to close my account. Went to the doctors, they didnt know what I was talking about. Avoid its just a way of gathering information. There is nothing of any use on the app. Stick to the NHS app.

Whilst this app could be great
Whilst this app could be great , if hospital staff don’t add the information it is pointless. When I first started using this app all my medications, appointments and outcomes were posted. Now I have cancer diagnosis nothing is being added and I have to rely on the post to receive this information. The app should be automatic and updated according to my hospital record. This way all medical personnel and myself will have access to my records.

The platform is incredibly useful
The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to access my test results and radiology reports from the hospital through a secure NHS Login.
One of the standout features for me is the graphical representation of blood tests. It's so helpful to track changes over time, allowing me to stay informed about my health in a clear and visual way. The visuals are not only appealing but also intuitive, making it easy to understand my data at a glance.

It’s brilliant - it should be everywhere
It’s brilliant - not only could I get all my info, I could see the tests I had and then find out more about why I had had them and what the results meant.
Why aren’t all MY medical records so easy to access - everyone should be using this system.
I was treated at St Richard’s in Chichester and love that I can follow my health journey and look at what tests have been done (and rapidly get the results) but also like that I have then been able to share with other medical professionals I have seen eg my GP to ask relevant questions

What an absolute load of rubbish
What an absolute load of rubbish. Who has the time to wade through all the information and understand this system. We were logging onto our GP information through Patient Access and then also NHS log in and now another useless disorganised system. We don't want it or need it. We need one simple system that is just NHS. A high percentage of patients are elderly and do fully understand the internet or use a mobile phone. Many people including myself thought this was a scam organisation. Never heard of it and no information from NHS on it. Where does private treatment come into this system. What happens if some of your information is not at your local hospital and not signed up to the system. Do we have to join ? What a rubbish name for an NHS facility. Could we not have just one NHS system called NHS FULL PATIENT RECORD. I hope appointment letters continue to come by post or there will be a lot of missed appointments. People are already confused with appointments being sent by different means.Your local health authority must be paying this company to use it's system. What a waste of money.

I completely understand your discouragement towards using multiple systems. Advocating for a seamless, joined-up healthcare experience is a core part of our approach. Our social mission is to empower every patient to "know best" by accessing and understanding their health record and deciding who to share it with.
Currently, much of your medical information is stored on paper or within various computer systems that are inaccessible to you, the patient. PKB health records are patient-owned, giving patients more control and the ability to be actively involved in decisions about their care.
PKB brings together information from multiple services (i.e. hospitals, mental health clinics, GPs, private providers) into one secure platform. This helps to ensure you get the best care, avoiding unnecessary tests, appointments, and letters, which in turn, helps the NHS save money. Rest assured that appointment letters will continue to arrive by post unless you choose to read the digital copy.
It’s not mandatory to join, and your data remains safely managed by your healthcare providers, we just provide a secure way for you to access it. Please note that you can use your NHS login account to access PKB if you wish, and we're integrated with the NHS app.

Appointments management is available in PKB via our NHS App integration. Not all NHS Trusts are live with this feature yet, but hopefully it'll reach you soon!

Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish. As if working people have the time to go to the doctors surgery, if you happen forget your password. I work 9-5 Monday to Friday and can’t access the surgery unless I take time off work. I can reset my bank account online, I don’t have to go into the bank. Why not medical sites. This service is a total waste of money. I’m a patient and I know best.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had a frustrating experience.
I’d like to reassure you that you don’t need to visit your GP surgery to reset your PKB password. You can absolutely reset this yourself, online, by answering some security questions.
If your security information isn’t accepted, the local PKB admins at your NHS Trust can help resolve this for you. You should hopefully find the contact details by searching the map in our user manual. However, if you're still unsure who to contact, please email our support team at help@patientsknowbest.com, and we’ll be more than happy to help 😊
You can also log in using your NHS login account details (but you'll need your PKB password the first time you do this)
I hope this helps and that you're able to log back into your record very soon.

I have never understood the purpose of Patients Know Best - apart from harvesting our data!
It seems impossible to leave, impossible to log on, and they keep sending me emails about "new documents" which I get from the NHS anyway.
Who is paying these people - the hard-pressed NHS, I suppose

Honestly, I think it's pretty great, and it gets better all the time. Being able to see my latest results , see graphs of trends, the new 'search for tests' clever drop-down, amazing. Remember when only your doctor had access to this!

A shambles and a farce
A dysfunctional and a cheaply made and designed platform that gets worse as time goes by. Display of results is inconsistent, there is no history of the results, no search function and the appointments, even the very old ones, are crammed between the most recent blood results. That says a lot.
At times, PKB send you an email alert that your data has been updated. You click on the link to see what has happened and it takes you to the personal data page whereby nothing has been changed. The people behind it are unprofessional, clueless and have no interest in the patients and/or their benefit. Their reply, always, is "we are aware of the problem and we are working to fix it". The old problems are never fixed and new problems result in this process. An absolute shambles and an insult to the NHS to have an association with such low quality service.
PS: their uselessness has exceeded all measures. See their reply. Even when they cut and paste they chose redundant information. Low IQ, inability to read and their actions add insult to injury. They are an absolute disaster and a disgrace. NHS do fire PKB and get decent people to start afresh with modern and compatible platform and hire those who are keen to do a good job. We deserve better. Shame on you PKB and big time. You make me sick!

Notifications Panel: The panel on your homepage shows recent updates to tests, messages, and appointments. To see detailed information for each data type, click the icons below (e.g., “Appointments” or "Tests") to navigate directly to each section.
Test Results: On the “Tests” page, you’ll find a “Latest” view with recent results and a “Trend” view that tracks changes over time. Clicking on a test opens a detailed history, including a graph for visual tracking. You can also use the search bar in this section to quickly locate specific tests.
Email Notifications: PKB notifications inform you of new entries or updates in your record, such as new test results, and include a link to log into the relevant page. When demographic information is updated, an 'update to your profile' notification may be sent. We’re currently resolving a bug that may trigger notifications for some minor backend demographic updates, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Demographic updates are limited to one notification per day by default, and you have the option to change your notification preferences (in your profile) to time-sensitive data only, if you wish.

I would never freely give my medical records to a company that is profit generated. My Health Centre released my medical records without my permission even though I had completed a form to keep my medical records at the Health Centre

PKB has really helped me manage my…
PKB has really helped me manage my mums’ care with her as her nominated carer. English is not her first language so being added as her carer in her PKB record, I am able to help her quickly. For example, if she receives any blood results I can see what these are as I will also receive an email notification. I can also view any discharge summaries quickly alongside any clinical letters without having to chase up the hospital or GP for this.

NHS providers rely on partnerships with trusted software platforms to manage health records. The NHS App displays your GP health record, with data flowing from the system used by your GP practice. PKB provides a broader personal health record, including information from hospitals, GPs, mental health services, and data you enter yourself. You can access PKB directly or view parts of it within the NHS App for a seamless experience. Your clinical data is encrypted, and can only be accessed by you, and those authorised by you.
