Some flights I booked were cancelled and opodo did not refund me as 'the discount provided was greater than the refunded amount provided by the airline'. Complete scam. I also booked some accommodation (private apartment rather than hotel) and had to contact the accommodation owner as I had not received access details on the day of the booking. They responded to say that they had no record of the booking, had never heard of Opodo, and were unable to honour it (accommodation was already occupied on that date). It is now 6 weeks and counting, around 6 hours spend on phone/chats to Opodo and I still have not received a refund. If you have Opodo Prime membership I urge you to CANCEL IT NOW!

Leider aktualisiert Opodo Prime die geänderten Flüge nicht. Das heißt Umbuchen wird nicht angezeigt und die App arbeitet weiter mit eigentlich stornierten Flügen.
Die telefonischen Kontakte sind freundlich, aber können nichts tun!
Für mich leider auch eine große Abo- Falle und Abzocke

Meines Erachtens grenzt es schon an Betrug. Da wird angeboten ein Preis für einen Flug einzufrieren, um später zu diesem Preis dem Flug buchen zu können. Dafür soll ein Euro gezahlt werden. Hab ich gemacht. Ergebnis: die spätere buchen zu diesem Preis war nicht möglich und es scheint verdeckt noch ein Abo für eine Opodo Prime Mitgliedschaft abgeschlossen worden zu sein, was mir aber in keinster Weise bewusst war.
Also Vorsicht! Meines Erachtens eher betrugswürdig

Finally received a part refund and have gone through the painful process of removing my personal and banking data. Warnng - both Opodo and eDreams are the same entity and operate the same recurring billing scam. Incredible that they are able to stay in business considering how many legal actions have been brought against them.

This company is a scam. I used them once to book a flight last year and had no clue they would take a further £99 from my account the following year for no reason. They won’t cancel my so called subscription either and refused to refund. Unbelievable. Robbing B^^^^^ds

I strongly advise people to stay away from Opodo Prime. I used Opodo once to book a flight in 2025. Without me clearly understanding that I had agreed to a paid subscription, they charged my card €99.99 for an annual Prime membership 15 days later.
I was completely unaware of this charge and never used any Prime benefits. One year later, Opodo attempted to take another €99.99 from my account and automatically extended the membership until 2027. I only discovered that I had effectively been paying for Prime for two years after checking my online banking. I immediately cancelled the next automatic renewal, but that did not cancel the current renewed year. I supposedly still have 364 days of paid membership, yet I can no longer reach Prime customer support or communicate properly through the chatbot. Instead, I am shown a “Try Prime” button, as if I need to subscribe again just to get help with a membership that is already paid and active. There is no clearly accessible customer service email, the chatbot is unhelpful, and reaching a real person appears deliberately difficult. I also cannot remove my saved card details from the account. In my opinion, this feels like a subscription scam: unclear enrolment, automatic annual charges, inaccessible customer support and no simple way to remove payment details. Opodo has charged me once and is now attempting a second annual charge for a service I never knowingly wanted and never used. I have cancelled the renewal, contacted my bank and requested that the pending second charge be reversed. However, the bank has not yet confirmed whether the attempted charge can be successfully stopped or reversed, so the matter remains unresolved. I recommend that anyone who has ever booked through Opodo check their bank statements carefully for “OPODO PRIME ANNUAL” charges.

Ich bin Prime mitgeliet das ist schon 2 Te mall das mir nicht weiter geholfen wird für was hat Mann Prime ich werde sofort kündigen lieber schenke ich das Geld wo anders aber nicht Opodo also wenn Mann was bucht sollte Mann doppelt kontrollieren und strimschot machen damit ihr euch beweisen könnt

Ich habe Opodo Prime nicht abgeschlossen, meine schriftliche Kündigung wurde ignoriert und erneut Geld abgebucht. Stornierung über die Website/App waren nicth möglic.

Auch nach einem halben Jahr hat Opodo die stornierten Flüge nicht erstattet. Diverse Telefonate führen zum Versprechen, sich darum zu kümmern. Nichts passiert. Ich rate neuerlich dringend ab, den Dienst zu nutzen.

If I could give zero stars I would. The Opodo Prime trial and subsequent auto renew process is outrageous and virtually impossible to cancel. DO NOT USE OPODO or sign up for this TOTAL SCAM PRODUCT.

Hätte ich mal lieber vor Reservierung die Bewertungen gelesen. Habe für 1 Euro einen Flug reserviert, ihn aber nicht gebucht. Der 1 Euro wurde belastet, was auch in Ordnung ist. Jetzt werden mir 13,99 Euro abgebucht und ich habe über KI heraus gefunden, das ich in die Abofalle getreten bin. Mir war absolut nicht bewusst, ein Abo abgeschlossen zu haben. Es geschieht quasi im Hintergrund. Nun bin ich dabei, das Abo zu kündigen ( macht unbedingt Screenshots!) und versuche, über den Kunden-Support mein Geld zurück zu bekommen. Der Support ist sehr sehr schwer zu finden. Klassische Email wird von Opodo übrigens nicht akzeptiert.
Reinste Abzocke, und das obwohl es sogar (lt. KI) bereits ein Gerichtsurteil gibt!

Title: Trapped in auto-enrolment, phone staff lied, bank block active! Tricked by £1.99 to hold flight prices!! Absolutely ridiculous behaviour from Opodo. I was auto-enrolled into a Prime subscription without my permission. Blocked the auto subscription but it still wet through. Tried the chat help... still contuned. I eventually called customer service and they explicitly assured me on the phone that it was fully cancelled and no money would be taken. They also tried to upsell .They are still repeatedly trying to take money out of my account! Worse still, when I log in, the website actively blocks me from deleting my payment card details or closing my account. It completely traps your data.I have already blocked them via my bank's fraud department. Avoid this company at all costs, they do not respect customer cancellations!

Un conseil :surtout ne vous abonnez pas à Opodo Prime .
Le renouvellement de cet abonnement offrant peu d'intérêts est automatique et le pire est que l'on ne peux pas se désabonner tant que l'abonnement est "actif". De plus le numéro fourni pour contacter le site est erroné, d'où impossibilité de se désabonner !!!!

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung mit Opodo Prime
Ich war überhaupt nicht damit einverstanden, dass ich plötzlich in einem Prime-Abo gelandet bin. Mir war beim Buchen nicht klar und auch nicht bewusst, dass daraus ein kostenpflichtiges Abo entstehen würde. Erst später habe ich bemerkt, dass regelmäßig Geld für Prime abgebucht werden sollte.
Für mich wirkt das sehr intransparent und so, als würde darauf gesetzt, dass Kunden die Bedingungen übersehen. Ich finde, ein Abo sollte klar und unmissverständlich kommuniziert werden und nicht so, dass man erst im Nachhinein merkt, dass man Mitglied geworden ist.
Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und werde Opodo Prime definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen. Mein Eindruck ist leider, dass hier versucht wird, Kunden mit solchen Abos Geld abzuziehen.

They are just a scam company. Booked a flight once, I'm now a fully paid up member of prime. Never asked for, but they just take money out of your bank account without notice.

Customer services is non existent, canceling is impossible, removing your credit card from their site not remotely possible

In my experience, the Opodo Prime subscription feels like a scam. The subscription charges are hidden, and it's very easy to end up enrolled without clearly realizing it.
If you buy a ticket just once, you may later find yourself being charged for a Prime subscription. Even if you change your card details, they may still try to charge you through your payment provider if they have authorization.
I never intended to subscribe, I haven't used any Prime benefits, yet I was charged. Be very careful before booking with Opodo, and always check whether a Prime subscription has been added. If you notice an unwanted subscription, cancel it immediately and contact your bank if necessary.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was charged for a Prime subscription that I never selected or agreed to. I contacted customer service the very same day and was assured that I would receive a full refund. Two months later, I am still waiting.

Since then, I have called countless times and spoken with at least 10 different agents in ONE DAY. Every single time, the same thing happens: I am placed on hold supposedly while they process the refund, only for the call to suddenly disconnect. It feels like a deliberate tactic to avoid resolving the issue.

To make matters worse, one of the agents even laughed during the conversation, which was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.

I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. The complete lack of accountability, false promises, and endless runaround have been shocking. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had, and I would not recommend this platform to anyone.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Opodo Prime to read the fine print very carefully.

I was unknowingly signed up to a 12-month annual subscription and had no idea I was being charged until I noticed the payments on my bank statement much later. The subscription was not obvious during the booking process, and the recurring charges certainly weren't something I expected.

The biggest frustration came when I tried to cancel. The unsubscribe process is unnecessarily difficult, confusing, and time-consuming. A service should make it just as easy to cancel as it is to sign up, but that was definitely not my experience.

After looking online, I discovered that many other customers have reported similar experiences with unexpected renewals and difficulties cancelling their memberships, which was disappointing to see.

I won't be using Opodo again. Transparent subscriptions and straightforward cancellations should be the standard, not something customers have to fight for.
