I just ordered these shoes from them a few days ago. I realized right away that it was the wrong decision. I should have known from looking at their website and seeing how EVERYTHING has 5-star reviews. I contacted customer service and "Frank", who apparently everyone else talks to, is trying to talk me into keeping them. So basically I am trying to negotiate for my money back. That's what I get for trying to buy from a foreign company with no standards for customer service. Now reading all these reviews I know I will get a terrible product. This isn't right and I wish something could be done about companies stealing from you like this.

I’d give no stars if I could. Scam company. These shoes come from China. I ordered shoes a month ago. “Tracking” goes in loop, says processing, then shipping, then processing, then shipping.....you get it. I contacted customer service several times and “Frank” said they were in NY, give it another week, give it another half month...” I tried to cancel and was told I’d get a refund when they got shoes back. To date, I still have not received them.
Any positive reviews are probably from people who work there!

this is the worse shoes ever made. they would never sell one pair if they sold them in store. the shoes are so out of balance because they put a heavy metal piece on the tip . plus they smell like qeap plastic because they’re maid in china a guess. dont buy these shoes you dont get a refund i guarantee you just throwing $80 away.

I discovered after my order was placed, I found out that the shoes were shipping from China which was not included prior to completion of the order. When I contacted the company, I got 3 weeks of runaround while I waited for the delivery. They arrived mangled - box smashed and shoes bent. I have had no resolution from the company. Find a different company. This one is awful.

The first sign of trouble is we didn't receive a receipt or invoice for the two pairs of shoes hubs ordered. They did arrive in a timely manner but the shoes were, as other have stated, grossly undersized. We had gone with Oakbay because their return policy states, "To return your product, you should mail product to: 916 S Tyron St. Charlotte, NC 28202 USA. Customers will only be charged once for shipping costs (this includes returns): No restocking to be charged to the consumer for the return of the product."

In addition to believing we would be able to RETURN the shoes, we believed we would do so to a facility in North Carolina. As it turns out, neither of these things are true.

Support's email response to my inquiry was (in part) the following: "You can return the shoes you received and re-order two new pairs or return them for exchanging replacements, but you need to pay for the shipping fee,considering expensive international shipping fee,which may over the item you paid,we offer you an inexpensive solution,you only need to pay 60 dollars (at a half price),we will resend you a new replacement,and you could keep the shoes."

It's also worth noting that I tried leaving a review on Oakbaystore.com and found I was unable to do so. When I tried to connect with them on FaceBook, that options was also no longer available.

Beware!!!

The shoes are seriously undersized (by at least 1 full size). Oak Bay will not take them back. Instead they want to sell you another pair for 1/2 price. Also, the plastic end cap on the laces was broken. Wish I had read all the reviews before I ordered. Apparently this is their regular MO. Wrong size and faulty... but I'm stuck with them.

Be aware:
If your shoes do not fit, you will be asked to return the shoes to the address below AFTER an attempt is made to get you to buy another pair of shoes “ because shipping will cost more than the value of the shoes”.
The website is a sham.
There is no New York address.
Unethical bussiness practice.
Zero transparency.

The shoes did not come in my size so I commented on the fb post that I wish they would come in a smaller size they private messaged me and insisted I order them anyway and give them my order number and they would send them in the correct size. When they came they were more like a womans size 7 not at all what I ordered I have a size 5 foot. I am very irritated they insisted I spend my money and that they would send them in the correct size and did not.Now they are giving me a hard time about returning it or getting my money back. Saying give them more money and they will send me the correct size. I told them I don't believe they will send it in my size I want the money back, I also told them I will not pay the return shipping because it is their mistake, they said to return it with no label. You have to have a label to ship it and they will not send me a return tag. I am just going to count it as a loss because now they are not responding to me at all. I advise you to not order from this company.

I ordered my boots on December 28th and did not receive until 3 weeks later. I used the sizing chart that they have on their site and still ended up with shoes that were way too small. I emailed them about returning them and they take about 2 days to respond. Their communication skills in their emails are absolutely terrible. They copy a support ticket in their emails but the support ticket is only accessible to the employees. I returned the shoes(I had to pay the return shipping) and over a month later I still had not received the new correct size pair. I emailed them and they said that was strange and that they had sent them and give them another 3-5 days and they would refund me 5 dollars for the trouble. I gave them an extra 2 weeks and still no shoes and they never gave me the 5 dollars. I then emailed them saying I'm done and I just want my money back. They eventually refunded me the full amount of the shoes. Needless to say I will NEVER buy anything from them again and hopefully no one else does either.

They did not send me the size I asked for just what thay wonted to send so I got 79 dollar foot where that dont fit

Oak Bay store sells "The indestructible safety shoe". Their website says "our shoes are so durable they'll last you a lifetime. If they don't we'll replace them free"

Long story short, bought the shoes, they sucked. I burned through them in a month. When I contacted them about a replacement pair they said "so sorry they ruined so fast. I can give 20% discount on new pair"
I asked about the free replacement.
They never responded to my email.
