We had a very friendly, helpful guide, Denise, who told us things about Norway on the way to and from the starting point for walking to the glacier. Had adequate time to do the walk so appreciated that. We did not get as far as the end of the walk but some lovely photo ops and enjoyable walk as far as we got. Would recommend Norway Excursions AS

We had tix for a 7.5 hr tour, Alesund to Trolls earlier this week (mid Jun(. We were aboard Carnival Pride. We thoroughly read all info regarding the tour before we purchased tickets. We are seasoned cruisers and do take excursions with third parties but only if we know we have a time buffer for returning to the ship.

Our tour time was 9:30am and to meet on pier at 9:15. The Pride didn’t begin disembarking until about 915. We were one of first to get off ship. We found the Norway Excursions reps easily by 925. Even so we knew we wouldn’t depart on time at 930. I asked TWO different reps —prior to boarding bus—if we would stlll be returned to ship by 5 as noted on ticket. I was assured by both that , yes, we’d be back by 5. One was the young lady right inside the pier gate, the other was a gentleman near one of buses (both with the yellow jackets). Pride was to sail at 6, all guests back by 530. However, again, we are experienced cruisers and know to never cut it too close. We watched and heard of far too many people being left behind. This is why we chose an excursion returning by 5.

Once on bus, Silvia (who was great) announced to all on the bus this tour would now be a 7 hr tour vs 7.5 as we were departing a bit before 10. So, in my mind, I’ve had three people from Norway Excursions assure me we will return by 5.

It was a great excursion. We saw some things we’ve never seen and the whole trip was great until the end. We left our last stop a bit after 3. Sylvia announced we were heading back to pier and it would take us about an hour and 40 mins—or around 445. Yet again, I have no reason for concern. She even noted she’d stop talking to give a chance for a “power nap” but she’d be available for questions. My husband and I dozed off. We were heading back to pier when we are now told we “have time to go to the top of the city”. We are fast approaching 5p so I begin to worry but think they are the experts—maybe we are okay. It then takes us a few mins to get to top. It is literally 5 til 5. Everyone gets off bus and told to be back in “10 mins”. That’s 5 after 5—and now I’m beyond worried. Sure enough at 5:05 there is someone missing. They show up. I am watching the clock in front of bus click off minutes. We pull into pier gate at 5:18 and get back on Pride at 5:25—5 minutes before gangway is pulled in.

In over 35 cruises, in many parts of the world, we have NEVER been that close to missing the ship. Sure it all worked out in the end; however anything could have happened going up to top of city or back down to pier. Accidents. Traffic. Issue with the bus (which we’d had happen to one bus earlier in the week). There was literally no room for error. I also think the fact most on the bus were on another ship (MSC Virtuosa) which wasn’t scheduled to leave Alesund until much later. However , we,along with at least 4-5 other couples were on Pride. If nothing else, those of us on Pride should have been taken back to pier first then MSC people on to top of city.

I don’t know if I’ll ever return to Norway. I do know I’ll never forget this is where I I had a great excursion that ultimately stressed me out for the final 30 mins. I have no idea why any company anywhere would ever take that sort of last minute risk. If someone had told us on the front end we’d be 530 returning, I’d have just stayed behind and forfeited the fees. Ive watched too many people over the years make bad decisions and get left behind. Forfeiting 250 euros is far less than trying to catch up to my ship at the next port.

I would have easily rated this tour five stars; however the fumble of time at the end left me only with the feeling I’ll never do this again and need to warn others. Many who cruise to Norway have cruised for years. They need to know which providers they can trust to get them back to the ship vs leaving only a 5-10 minute window for unforeseen issues. A company that takes this risk shows no regard for their guests.

Also their site has following FAQ. Yes. We made it back but with only 5 mins to spare. Not acceptable!

Wir waren mit Peter und Norway Excursion auf zwei Ausflügen. Ein mal im Gairanger Fjord und in Andalsnes. Beide Touren waren sehr gut organisiert. Peter ist ein sehr erfahrener Guide und kennt sich super in den Städten aus. Er hat die gesamte Busfahrt kommentiert und man konnte ihm in den Stops spezifische Fragen stellen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder eine Tour mit Peter buchen!

Danny and his team (and his intrepid driver Odd) gave us a wonderful 3hour tour. The trip up theTroll Wall was spectacular, with great views from the top. A well organised excursion in a comfortable coach with plenty of interesting stops.

We booked the Olden Amazing Briksdal Glacier tour and had such a wonderful time! At the time of booking, I called Norway Excursions for some information and they were extremely helpful, also advising me we would need booster seats on the coach for our children due to Norwegian Law requirements. These were arranged with no issues.
The tour was extremely well run and the tour guides were very informative and friendly. When we got to the park, we had planned to walk up to the Glacier however this was too much for my children so we jumped in a Trollcar - I am actually glad we did as it was a lot of fun! The area is absolutely stunning and we felt very privileged to visit. I would highly recommend booking this tour!

We went on a tour with your company and we would not recommend it. The tour guide did not want to use the mic, so no one could hear his instructions. He did not give us any history of Alesund. We were very disappointed. All he talked about was his fiance, his baby on the way, and how chewing tobacco is healthy. Extremely disappointed.

Our cruise ship was unable to get us ashore at Geiranger Port due to issues with the gangway. We were booked on the Dalsnibba and Eagle Road Panorama Tour with Norway Excursions and they kept pushing the tour start time back for us but in the end it wasn’t to be. It was not their fault and they would have incurred coach hire and tour guide costs through no fault of their own but they refunded my card in full within 2 days. How honourable was that meaning we only had the disappointment of not getting on the tour and not the loss of money on top. We did get on our second tour booked with Norway Excursions at Olden the following day and that was a 5 star experience see my separate review for this. I have to wait 24 hours before I can post my second review so I'll be back soon.

Gute Organisation und Kommunikation, sehr faire Stornobedingungen. Jederzeit wieder.

We had booked the excursion for when we were in port as part of our cruise. This worked really well, the coach was waiting for us when we docked. The trip to the glazier was great. Took around 40 mins to walk up. Make sure you wear suitable footwear as it is very uneven. Stopped for cuppa and pastry on the way back

Just returned from Norway having been on a cruise used this company 3 times. Easily found at every port. Waited when ship had to tender. Always back on time. Excellent guides and value for money. Only down side itinerary changed on one trip as road to skywalk still closed, which was a main thing for me and they didn’t advise us, which was wrong. Also 7 sisters waterfall another main attraction was still frozen so not seen. These 2 things can’t be helped but you should know in advance.

Fantastic value and tour we took on a recent cruise! Comfortable coach bus, expert driver, and wonderful guide who was engaging and informative. We stopped at/cruised by all the top sites with plenty of time to soak up the great Norwegian culture and history.

Wat een geweldige excursie ondanks de regen. Gids Bas heeft ons kennis laten maken met het prachtige Noorwegen en wist heel veel te vertellen over dit schitterende land. Schitterend de Atlantic Road en een prachtig uitzicht over Molde.

Ich habe zusammen mit meiner Großmutter eine Bustour in Molde zu der Atlantikstraße, einem 2. Weltkriegsmuseum und einem Aussichtspunkt über Molde gebucht. Doch nicht alle dieser versprochenen Ziele sollten wir erreichen...
Im Bus angelangt und erwartete uns zunächst ein fast durchgehendes weinendes Kleinkind, das zudem nicht auf einem geeigneten Kindersitz, sondern auf dem Schoß der Eltern saß.
Dies wurde uns dann 45 Minuten entfernt zum Verhängnis, denn wir wurden von der örtlichen Polizei angehalten und kontrolliert, ob denn alle Insassen angeschnallt und auf den richtigen Sitzen saßen.
Die Polizei erkannte schnell, dass dies nicht vorschriftsgemäß war und begleitete uns auf den nächsten Supermarktplatz, wo die Tour vorerst gestoppt wurde.
Erst nach knapp einer Stunde kam man dann auf die Idee das Ehepaar samt Kleinkind mit einem Taxi zurück in den Hafen zu fahren, um dann die Fahrt fortzusetzen.
Jedoch stellte die Polizei daraufhin fest, dass bei dem Bus seit 2 Jahren keine technische Prüfung (TÜV) durchgeführt wurde, sodass kurzum die Kennzeichen entfernt wurde und unsere Weiterfahrt endgültig beendet war.
Nach insgesamt 2,5 Stunden kam dann endlich ein neuer Bus der uns zumindest zu der noch 1 km entfernten Atlantikstraße fuhr und daraufhin auf Umwegen (um der Polizeikontrolle auszuweichen) zurück nach Molde fuhr. Aufgrund der verloren gegangenen Zeit, hatten wir keine Zeit mehr die anderen Stopps anzufahren, bzw. nach der Tour noch Zeit in Molde zu verbringen, da wir anstatt 14 Uhr erst um 15:15 Uhr zurückkamen.
Im Hafen angekommen erwartete meine knapp 80 Jährige Großmutter dann der nächste Ärger. Bei dem neuen Bus konnte die Beifahrertür (mit ausreichend flachen Treppenstufen) aufgrund Batterieproblemen nicht geöffnet werden, sodass meine Großmutter über die Fahrerseite raushüpfen musste.

Nach der Tour bekamen wir dann alle 50% zurückerstattet, was nach meinem Empfinden zu wenig war angesichts der Umstände und des erheblichen Zeitverlusts, sodass ich 66% (da nur 1 von 3 Stopps angefahren) einforderte. Daraufhin wurde zunächst 6 Tage nicht auf meine Email geantwortet und dann meine Forderung abgelehnt.

Insgesamt also ein Unternehmen mit dem man keine Bustouren oder anderweitigen Touren buchen sollte.

From Fjords to Trolls (Aug. 10th – 2022) : Spectacular scenery, knowledgeable guide ! Unfortunately, not enough time to fully appreciate the magnificent views, but we understand time is limited. But we did feel a little rushed ! Just enough time for a few photos.

There was a misunderstanding regarding the meeting point and time. Make sure the agreement is clear and keep with you the telephone number of Norway Excursions to contact them if necessary, and avoid the problems and stress we had before being picked up. The excursion was probably shortened because we started late.

I'm confident Norway Excursions will make sure the matter will be investigated and corrected for future travelers !

Hoewel het weer niet optimaal was, veel regen, was het toch een heel geslaagde dag, mede dankzij onze gids Bas, die heel veel heeft verteld en de regenbuien probeerde te omzeilen. We waren blij verrast met een nederlandstalige gids.

This was a wonderful excursion, super easy to book and pick up was right on the harbor. There were a couple of stops for pictures on the way there and back - amazing scenery. The tour was run exactly to time and returned in plenty of time before the ship left. Both Dan and Bas walked up to the glacier with the tour group, which was reassuring. It's a reasonable walk with a few inclines and steps, but oh my goodness was it worth it!! We almost had the lake and glacier view to ourselves - just beautiful. The little troll cars are great if you aren't keen on walking. Olden is a very quiet cruise stop trip and I would recommend a tour if you are going - I can't recommend this tour enough.
