one thing I dont like is the carts outside but I can understand why as no room for them inside
When at the cashier it was like I was pressured to just throw my groceries in the bag and go. I have a certain way of packing.
When at the cashier it was like she was in a race and started running my groceries thru when the person in front of hadn't finished packing there groceries. I mentioned to her that it's not a race to see how fast you can ring groceries through. And she just laughed and carried on. Then when I'm packing my my groceries she again started running the next person through.i thought how rude can a person get. NO FRILLS IS NOW OFF MY PLACES OF SHOPPING. Cashier was a joke

My review is about one particular problem that the employees and customers would love to be fixed. As you know, in most stars, there’s background music that’s played for more than one reason. The fact that this sound system has been neglected and was poor at best and now has not worked at all since last summer is ridiculous. This should be a quick fix and I think during this Christmas season people would’ve enjoyed that little bit of Christmas spirit background music being played. Never mind the rest of the year. I hope they can get it fixed soon because several months is unacceptable.
Deceiving Customers
Although NoFrills is considered as a budget store, It was shocking today to find the curly parsley punch ( a very tiny punch ) is $ 2.49. I never saw this price for a small punch of parsley. The highest price I know is $ 1.99. I visited another two competitors and the pricy was 1.79 in one and 1.99 in another.
I don't understand their policy. They are treating customers as idiots and don't check the prices. It is stupid NoFrills
I shopped at no frill
I shopped at no frill, the staff was working there is really rude to instacart shoppers.
They are not patient and discriminated shoppers who work for instacart.
Worst grocery store around!
Was excited to find out that Pat & Mallory’s No Frills was opening a store in Waterloo. Then I started shopping there. The absolute worst grocery store ever. Mislabeled produce items as to country of origin, produce rotting on the counters, sold out of ad products the day the ad breaks, many shelf items out of stock, staff that have no clue where products are. Had an issue a few months ago twice, filled in the customer survey on the cash receipt & at the end of the survey it asks “do you want to be contacted”, answered yes, nobody ever got back to me. Going to stick with Freshco & food basics. No more money going to Loblaws!
Andrews they are out of stock
Andrews they are out of stock they are always out of stock when a sale is on. Do not go there if you want a sale item.
Customer service at a new low
I having been coming to this store for years and years and have thousands of dollars in spend at this store, and the visit on November 1st is the worst service I have seen to date in this store.
First of all, Saturday in Ajax mid afternoon is peak time for shoppers. I expect lots of people. What I really fail to see is why this store (Jerome and Alishas No Frills Ajax) is never fully staffed at the checkouts and why they don’t allow carts in self checkout. This eliminates anyone elderly the ability to self check out. So we are obligated to line up and wait even with a few items.
Our total time in line yesterday with only one person ahead of us was 20 minutes. I have never seen a cashier so confused. There was some kind of bartering over gift and sim cards and confusion about separation of payment and processes. The cashier made 5 separate trips to other cashiers to ask questions or fetch gift or sim cards from other isles and take the time to nod and smile at all the other shoppers she was then delaying in other checkout lanes, leaving a very long line of people in jaw dropping awe at her very own empty til and a very long line of shoppers with no place to go. I am elderly and have checked out at a lot of stores and know what good and ridiculous service is and have a clear idea what levels of service I will and will not accept. This is not an open air market with specialty negotiations needed. If your cashiers can’t process customers, shouldn’t there be an obligation of someone to process them instead? A manager???? Maybe instead of paying a person to stand and bust people at the self checkout with carts you should pay them to stand and ensure people waiting in line aren’t price checking over 20 items on a slow phone network to a very confused cashier. Maybe you could consider a line where people could go where there is no chance of people with time limits having to wait for someone to stumble through their phone? Oh wait….that’s self checkout, but that’s not available to the elderly or anyone with any sort of disability, only for people with a family of 4 children carrying 4 fully loaded hand baskets for the 2 parents carrying 2 fully loaded hand baskets… just not a cart with 4 items in it.
If you are not capable of letting people check out in a reasonable amount of time perhaps you should consider proper staffing levels and layout. It seems wrong that you allocate staff to “self” checkout and force people into empty “assisted” checkouts. I was willing to swallow the ever decreasing selection of produce, the failing quality, the poor stocking levels, the tired and drained look of your store, the broken carts that don’t roll, but if you expect me to do it while being disrespectful of my time and my status as a paying customer that makes your store possible, I’m afraid you’re mistaken. The 2 lanes that were open were filled with furious people disgusted by the service you are expecting them to endure and very vocal about it. They too hold a spend at your store and didn’t seem like they were happy to watch their frozen goods melt either.
You have lost my weekly spend at your store forever, and I expect more will follow. Fortunately, Ajax has plenty of grocery stores that maintain a stronger sense of customer service and store standards.
I went to no frills in Westbank Kelowna…
I went to no frills in Westbank Kelowna for the first time to check it out. I had just purchased multiple items from Walmart 30 mins prior. I checked my receipt and every item was cheaper at Walmart. Between 10 and 20% cheaper. Less choices and quantities also. So maybe the motto should be changed to. We will always be beaten. I will not go in again. What is the point. You are false advertising.

I always shop weekly in rocky mountain house alberta. But I tell you what I am sick of coming home and checking my receipt to find out I was charged the wrong price
I specifically went to the store to buy a flyer item as usual never on stock.
I specifically went to the store to pick up a flyer item. As usual they do not have stock. Went back 3 days in a row and was told the same story every time “come back tomorrow we should be getting more stock. We are sold out right now”. This has happened atleast 4 times since beginning of summer. Very upsetting as I normally enjoy shopping at all loblaws stores. This store has a new owner and since the ownership nothing is ever in stock. Although there is a lot of staff in the store it appears as though they do not order enough inventory or holding onto to stock to re-sell at regular cost. Upsetting that i made a special trip and still wasn’t able to get the items.

Tom & Michelle’s No Frills located at…
Tom & Michelle’s No Frills located at 6085 Creditview Road have trained their cashiers to double charge on items and hope customers don’t catch it. When they are caught their “so called” customer service desk will return the money to you and advise you that the store owners don’t care about these errors which is evident its their in store practice.
The Store Owner Yama is very…
The Store Owner Yama is very belligerent and Authoritative. His Managers are tied to his Lease.
Many are disrespectfully.
The Refund & customer service persons are of The Motto" Customers always wrong"
Today they charged me DOUBLE the posted cost for Red Sheppard peppers n my wife found this error on receipt at home.
I returned to correct it n claim under SCOP( scanning code of practice).
Customer service n at least 3 other supervisors are consulted and further getting their security person to intimidate me.
Then I was told to get my refund and and I said under duress I did and , Then they refused to return my ORIGINAL receipt n the Refund Reciept .( I had to record this as I had something to hold on to)
Suddenly The Owner Yama comes and gives me a lecture of my recording and informs me that " In public you cannot record without ones permission" which is not true.
I said get to the chase and give me my Reciepts. They only returned my Original receipt & not The refund receipt!
Terrible Pricing and many times his Produce Specials are got from Ontario Food Terminal, where broken or partially rancid foods.
Incorrect price for advertised item
An item was advertised during a 2 week period.
I spoke to the manager about it and she approved the refund. Once I took the item to customer service the checkout clerk argued with the manager that I should not receive a refund because it was past 14 days. What they advertise and charge are not always so. This No Frills at Eglington and Brimley has no integrity, poor customer service and very poor cashiers who don't smile, or are friendly. This particular teller was rude, had no customer service skills, calls customers "sweetheart", "honey" etc. The point was why advertise a product and then 2 weeks in a row not have the proper price when you pay for it.
While visiting the store on Goulet in…
While visiting the store on Goulet in Winnipeg, I came empty shelves for items listed in this week's flyer, which is something not uncommon here. However, when at checkout, I requested a rain check for one particular item and was told that rain checks were not issued anymore at that specific No Frills. I tried to insist that their published Rain Check Policy states the policy covers any item advertised on sale in their current flyer that is not available due to insufficient stock. Again, I was argued with but not one, but two staff. I expressed my disgust with both of them and left the store. Perhaps an appropriate name of this location should be No Stock....

Purchased a box of 30 cans of beer at the Owen Sound store and unknown to me until I checked my receipt that I paid a .10 deposit fee for each can plus 13% tax! This needs to be signed to treat customers fairly.
Utterly wretched from beginning to end
I recently tried ordering groceries from No Frills - online. The experience was utterly wretched from beginning to end. Their online portal has too many issues to address in this note. After calling customer service, I finally gave up and cancelled my order.
I’m using Voilà at the moment and will stay put.
I encountered a horrible and troubling…
I encountered a horrible and troubling experience at the store today. I walked into the store with my two daughters, and we went straight to the banana section as we wanted to make banana bread. We just happened to see some bananas bagged in a clear plastic with 50% off sticker. We grabbed three bags and walked to straight to the cashier. The first greetings we got from the cashier, Julie was "did you put those stickers on", referencing the 50% off stickers. I was stunned and shocked momentarily. I have never been asked that question in all my life. I am not sure where this question came from or what motivated her to do that. Was it racially motivated? We literally spent less than a minute in the store from entering the store, walking to the banana section and heading straight to the Cashier. I am deeply offended and hurt by the action of this employee at Dennis No Frills. Her action amounts to making accusation of theft. I will be sharing this experience with others and on social media.
