After 2.5 years, the mattress topper we bought from Naturalmat is completely worn out. The company admits this as well. They are unwilling to offer compensation. By now, they are no longer responding to emails. I have now started a notice of default procedure.

We’ve had an ‘Emma’ mattress for the last 5 years and I woke up with sore hips and back and my sleep quality wasn’t great, constantly tossing and turning. We’ve just bought a sumptuous firm mattress with a terrific topper and I’ve had the best nights sleep I’ve had in years. No pain waking up and didn’t toss and turn. I could cry!

Our London friends told us about an amazing new mattress they had purchased, after staying in a hotel that had the brand. By pure coincidence the Dorking showroom had just opened. I’m very particular about mattresses and have such poor sleep if one is not right. From the moment we stepped into the store it has been one of the most positive retail experiences we’ve had. The sales assistant was patient, knowledgeable and took all our requirements in her stride. Allowed us to test many of their test beds and accommodated us when we wanted to try a full size bed to check the ‘anti roll’ with 2 people next to each other.
I loved the updates on the order and the quick delivery (5 weeks for a hand made mattress).
The delivery team from Exeter completed the excellent engagement. We are not roadside, and they had a big van, so had to carry new mattress up and take our old one down. All done with smile on their face. They offer a recycling scheme as well, where they refurbish and donate. Since the delivery we’ve had such good sleep. Able to sleep in all positions without pain. If you’re in the market for a new mattress or bed, I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

What a joy to deal with. I didn't test the mattress before buying- but spent a long time on a phone call to one of the employees before I placed the order, asking about firmness and delivery. He was very helpful and patient, and the mattress that arrived on Thursday after the few weeks that it took to be made, is perfect, we have slept on it for two nights now and we can highly recommend the Mohair Mattress. We also ordered a take away service for our old mattress, no easy feat, it weighed more than 8 stone,was twice the depth of this new one. The new one is around 7 stone, so not easy to turn for us, without help from family when they visit. Worth it though, I love the 'farmyard' smell too. I know that will wear off, sadly...... We ordered the washable topper, to protect the mattress. Now I wish I'd order a second, for when the 1st is being washed and aired. I am so excited about this product and the service, the poor men, were stuck on the M25, and called me to let me know, and arrived about 6.37pm - my window was 3-6pm, not bad coming from Devon to London. They were jolly, polite & asked if they should take their shoes off, and had to get the matress up two floors. Well done, I'd recommend this Devon business to anyone.Thank you.

I received a natural mat mattress for my baby as a present. It’s the perfect firmness for a little one as Lullaby Trust advocates they sleep on surfaces that are too soft. We have successfully washed the product multiple times but on a recent wash it shrivelled. I contacted customer services who were incredibly responsive and sent as a replacement even though it was a present and we didn’t have proof of purchase. Couldn’t recommend this company and product enough!!!

Good point - quality fabric and arrived quite quickly
Bad - very expensive for a piece of overlooked fabric - it was supposed to be a fitted sheet for a Stokke Sleepi cot

Two days before a delivery of a £4k bed. We have been emailed to say there is a delay with delivery of a bed…Despite waiting 8 weeks for the bed. There is no indication of date of delivery and no gesture of goodwill offered. Seriously unimpressed. The knock on effects of not having the bed has had huge knock on effects in our household.

A rare thing these days, a company with real integrity, I would highly recommend.

Really liked the ethos and I like the firmness of my new mattress as well as the quality of my new duvet (wool) from them. I bought the Lambswool mattress and unfortunately had a bad reaction to it (severe headache the first night, milder headaches the following nights but only after vacuuming it repeatedly and diligently and airing the mattress without cover for days on end with window open). I called them and spoke to two people and they could not have cared less. Their answer was "I have never heard of this before", i.e. dismissing my experience, not offering any suggestions, not admitting it could be an issue. (They might respond to this, offering to chat to me again, to probably repeat what they already told me, "well, that's new to us, so it can't be real").

Sumptuous Spring Mattress - Medium. I bought the mattress in 2021, during the pandemic. I didn't have the opportunity to go and try it. Unfortunately, since we sleep on it, my husband and I have back problems.
It is very uncomfortable

I ordered a made to measure crib mattress. I cannot fault the service that I received, and the mattress fits the crib perfectly. Very happy with my experience with this company.

i order some fabric samples from the company and i always receive fantastic customer service from the company better than another company who is not too helpful.

i will always use natural mat.

In my experience this company are dishonest, both on their website with the ridiculously over complimentary descriptions of their products and also in after sales communication. I bought a Tremendous Topper, which turned out to be nowhere near as comfortable or luxurious as they had described, and therefore nowhere near worth the price they charge. I made this very clear in communication with them after purchase and they said they would update the website with more detail of the characteristics of their products. They lied. More than a year later, they haven't changed a thing. Would never buy from them again and strongly advise no-one else does either.

We recently bought a trundle bed with 2 mattresses from Naturalmat and we couldn't be happier. There was an issue with lead times due to the pandemic and supply chain issues, but Peter and his team went above and beyond to ensure we had the beds set up in our house in time for Christmas. The whole team went above and beyond to make sure we had exactly the products we needed. Delivery was exceptional and courteous, and the bed could not be more comfortable. I wouldn't buy from any other bed or mattress company again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new bed or mattress.

We went all in, emperor bed, new firm mattress and medium topper, duvet and pillows. The quality of the product is exceptional and even though the guys drive all day to deliver it in Scotland, the assembly and service was brilliant. We both sleep much better than we did before (on a more expensive mattress before you ask) and that was the point of the investment. We love the bed and the mattress. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

This company bombard you with postal mail after purchase & even when you contact them to stop & they say they will - THEY STILL SEND MAILINGS. Besides being an invasion of privacy, it's down right disrespectful. I'd never use them again and if they continue their marketing onslaught they'll face a legal challenge.

Bought a bed from them a few years back and had outstanding service. They couldn’t fit the headboard up the stairs due to a tight turn. They took it back, worked out how to reconfigure the headboard into separate parts that could be assembled once up the stairs and resulting in no loss to the overall look or structure. Friendly delivery personnel. They did all this with no further cost to me.
Visited their Chiswick showroom to get a new mattress at the weekend and they were very friendly and helpful. They organised and showed us all the mattresses to try and left us to try them out at our leisure. Low pressure tactics and gave us a discount as returning customers.
Good company with high quality products!

Mixed experience. We have their coco mat for the snuzpod and latex mat for the cot bed which are wonderful and we really love them. I always recommend these to my mum friends. Despite the cost, they are a wonderful investment and you can upcycle them into seating areas/dens later! :)

We couldn’t really afford it but we stretched ourselves to purchase the latex mat for a single bed (for our 4 year old). This turned up with the wrong thickness of filling so the fillings were moving around in the mattress and it was thinner than described. Naturalmat were wonderful in taking it back as a faulty mattress and offering either a return or exchange so I couldn’t fault their customer service. We opted for a return though as the mattress was incredibly firm. Too firm in my opinion. I doubt a child over the age of 5 or 6 would be comfortable unless they sleep on their back and like a very firm sleep surface due to the amount of coir in the mattress and there’s no plush soft filling near the sleep surface to counter the coir. I was in two minds about leaving this review but in the end felt I should as the reason I didn’t know how firm it was was because there were no reviews available and they don’t have an example mattress in their showroom. Though looking at the review below, someone else has had the same experience as me.

Whilst I totally think the company is wonderful, love their ethics, etc, I would not recommend the latex mat for a single bed. You are better off getting an adult single or buying the children’s mattress from Cottonsafe which is equally chemical free, recyclable, and much cheaper(though does use a little bit of polyester in it and their eco credentials are far behind naturalmat).

Also, we ordered the single waterproof mattress protector which is incredibly noisy. Every time my son turns it crinkles so we have given up on it as it was bothering him, no matter how taught we got it. At a rrp of £45 I was quite disappointed as it was described as silent. Oddly the cot bed size doesn’t have this problem so we were perplexed! We contacted them at the beginning of April to ask for a return as it isn’t as described but they didn’t respond. So all in all, I’ve loved them for baby products but had less luck with children’s products.

I received the quilted latex mattress about a month ago. My daughter hasn’t slept through the night since using it. It is so hard she might as well be sleeping on the floor. The mattress is described as being of medium support but it definitely is not. Her last mattress was medium and my mattress is firm, the new Naturalmat mattress is harder than both of these. When I lie with her to help her sleep I wake up with sore hips and a sore lower back. When I spoke to them about this they suggested buying one of their mattress toppers, which from reviews are not much better and provide very little comfort. Despite the excellent materials used, I would not purchase from them again. Their customer service was poor, the mattress is incredibly uncomfortable and it took longer than they said it would to arrive. Overall, not a company I would recommend or use again.
