Katie was everything I needed today, she knew exactly what I was doing wrong 🤣 and helped me resolve the issue immediately. Katie is very polite, well spoken, helpful and had a great energy that brought a smile to my face which was useful after a stressful start to today. Very Poor Organisation and Unsafe Learning Experience
My experience with National Intensive was extremely disappointing and stressful.
When I booked a 20-hour intensive driving course, I clearly stated that my previous driving experience was around 15–19 hours back in 2017 (approximately 8 years ago). This important information appears to have been ignored.
I was only given the instructor’s contact details once my driving test had already been booked. When I contacted the instructor, he had no idea who I was, had no record of a new pupil, and said he did not even know who National Intensive was. At that point my test was only three weeks away.
During the first lesson the instructor expected me to start driving immediately and even suggested going into the town centre on my own. After seeing that I was struggling with basic clutch control (which is understandable after not driving for 8 years), he carried out an assessment and acknowledged I needed more basic practice.
Despite this, on the second lesson he asked me to drive into the city centre during rush hour (around 8–8:30am). I was stalling and making mistakes and the instructor became visibly frustrated rather than providing constructive guidance.
On the third lesson he directed me onto a busy multi-exit roundabout without traffic lights, which resulted in a very dangerous situation where a large SUV nearly collided with us. Instead of treating this as a learning situation, he shouted “you see what happened”.
I also found it concerning that the instructor never asked to see my driving licence and there was no visible DVSA instructor badge displayed in the car.
I reported these concerns to National Intensive, but the response was simply that it was the instructor’s decision whether the driving conditions were safe.
Finally, despite paying for an intensive course with a test booked for 23 March, the instructor told me he did not have time to complete an intensive course and advised me to cancel my test because I would not be ready. As a result I lost my earlier test slot and am now back in the queue until August 2026.
Overall this experience felt very poorly organised and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company don`t even bother and try get instructor from professional driving ( what i did,when i found out National Intensive doesn`t care).
Please avoid this company as they got no in control to anything,they wont help when you raise concern and your opinion won`t matter either.After last Friday lesson,me glad me still alive and breathing.

I Didn`t cancelled course, as instructor said he doesn`t have time for 5-6hours per day driving, so crash course training is not happening,so main point of this service is not really happening,right?
Only refund i got is from instructor for unused hours,even then he scammed me on over £200,so how that`s ggood will gesture lol?
So review comment is legit and i hope other will check other negative reviews.

Your recent comments contradict what you previously confirmed with your instructor, and I feel they are unfair and unfounded.
The refund was issued as a goodwill gesture. As the cancellation came from your side, there was no obligation to provide one.
For clarity, this is the message you previously sent:
“Hello Jake, last night I had second thoughts and decided the intensive course is not for me. Nothing against you – I still think you are a brilliant instructor, but I will do driving lessons with a local instructor in a more classic way. I would like to ask for a refund of unused hours.”
This message clearly states that you chose to cancel the course yourself, which contradicts the concerns raised in your recent comments. At no point have you discussed any issues whilst the course was in progress and we do not uphold your complaint.
