MyTriathlon was created in 2008 in the early days of triathlon. Two friends who began training together at their local triathlon club went on to race a Sprint distance, followed by an Olympic distance, before finally completing an Ironman together and finishing a mere five minutes apart! Their journey took them to the committee of their local Triathlon Club in Manchester and onto the Boards of British Triathlon and Triathlon England, before they decided to launch the Tatton Park Triathlon. It was to become the third largest triathlon event in the UK, after London and Blenheim.

You have to pay UK VAT and when you receive the items you request them to refund which takes a few weeks but always paid back.

WATCH OUT GBP4 deducted for any refunds! They don't refund for at least a month
I placed an order for one top. Top was delivered 12 May. Fabric not what I expected. I immediately returned it via courier. Paid the postage. It has taken until Friday 26th June to get a refund. They received the parcel, 18th May. I chased and chased. They short changed me. There is a £4 deduction for returns. READ THE SMALL print everyone. Absolutely disgraceful. BE WARNED. I had to constantly chase for a refund. Don't go near them.

I do apologise that you feel that the £4 reduction was unreasonable. We do not hide this in 'fine print', it is said plainly in our terms & conditions that it will be removed from every refund as an admin fee.

My item arrived quickly, unfortunately it was too small and the larger size is no longer available. Easy returns procedure but the refund took a long time to be processed.

Issues returning
In terms of delivery, I couldn't fault MyTriathlon. The wetsuit arrived promptly and the ordering process was straightforward. Unfortunately the return process wasn't so smooth.
I had to arrange and pay for the return shipping myself, which, while not ideal, was something I accepted. The bigger issue was the refund. I waited around a month to receive what was a fairly substantial refund and had to chase the company several times. Initially, I was told refunds take 7–21 days and to wait. After following up again, I was informed there had been a mistake and that I would receive the refund by the end of the week, but that deadline also passed without payment.
When the refund finally arrived, I discovered that a further amount had been deducted. Looking at the returns policy afterwards, I found that they automatically deduct £4 and also reserve the right to make additional deductions for "admin" costs. This wasn't something I expected.
As someone who is tall, it took me a couple of attempts to find a wetsuit that fit properly. Other retailers I dealt with during this process handled returns and refunds much more efficiently and transparently. While MyTriathlon's delivery service was excellent, the returns experience means I would be hesitant to use them again.

Zone 3 buoyancy shorts
