AVOID!!!
Where to start.. Absolute shambles of a company! Reported issues over the 2 years of been in the property including black mold, water leaks, utilities broke, safety concerns. Not one staff member was helpful especially Georgina on communication with myself and landlord.

When moving into the property we requested a shower to be installed. A fit over the tap thing was installed but no cladding to protect plaster on the walls, no shower screen fitted and no extractor fan installed. After squatting down in the bath to use the shower head without damaging the plaster they finally agreed to install a extractor as the mold was getting to much. Came out and did a cowboy job on the extractor which we had to clean up all the debris left. Moving on a year MPB had sent out a contactor to come look at all the issues we had been complaining about. The contactor then says noting was water tight regarding electrics and this is very dangerous.

The damp was that bad in the dining room and living room the second surveyor they sent out says this is one of the highest damp level readings has seen. This had caused the chalk to come out from the walls. (They painted this over twice instead of dealing with the problem).

We had to take the ourselves and child to Tesco toilets for 3 days as the sewage pipe was not fitted to the toilet correctly which MPP blamed Northumbrian Water. Had the water board come out and stick a camera in there for them to tell us it was all to do with the plumbing in the property.

We had a massive crack in the bedroom roof due to a hole in the roof which the last two surveyors had picked up on. We would wake up in the night with plaster from the roof all over the bed.

3 House checks had been booked over the 2 year period of us been there. Each time i had to put holidays in at work for no one to turn up. No apologies or compensation given.

Finally upon asking for our bond money back which we are still waiting for they state they want to take £250 from me due to furniture been left in the property and a cleaner to go in. The furniture left was already in the property when we moved in! We paid for our own cleaner once we moved into the property as the filth was unbearable. (They referred to the cleaning products left under the sink and a few cig ends left in the garden). We also paid for the council to remove a oven which was left in the garden when we moved in. (Where's my compensation?)

Been so close to Christmas we have accepted a £150 to be taken off as the kid is not going to have a Christmas otherwise! Absolutely shocking company and want to be ashamed of themselves and there staff that handle the property's.

I have dealt with many agents. I found My Property Box -and in particular, Georgia - committed and helpful, communicating well and generally providing reassurance and confidence. Recommended.

Unfortunately the service has really declined recently at My Property Box in my opinion. There seems to be a high turnover of staff so not sure if this plays a part but really unhappy with the current service I receive from them as a landlord. At this stage I am not even sure who my tenancy manager is as they change so often with no communication. There has been a catalogue of errors affecting my property recently, from moving tenants in without my say so, to not arranging inspections as promised, to letting the gas safety certificate expire! I’m now unable to get a call back from anyone to see if these have been resolved. Hopefully standards will improve again because I used to be really happy with them managing my property but at this moment in time it feels like wasted money paying them to ‘look after’ my property.

As my last review was deleted I have had some many problems with this company and I was electrocuted in one of there homes. Georgina is very unhelpful and also very arrogant. They are trying to cover their own backs by calling this my version of events even after electrician told me they have unplugged the earth of the cooker which caused me to be electrocuted. I know this as Georgina sent an email mistakenly to me instead of the electrician.

Amaan was really helpful during the whole process and would definitely recommend.

I had a tricky start when listing my house to sell with My Property Box due to staff leaving but then I dealt with Georgia Richardson who turned it all around. She was very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was always quick to respond to my emails and kept me up to date with everything. I would definitely recommend asking for her to help with your sale!

Amaan was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us and assist in finding a wonderful property. He responded promptly to all our questions. We feel blessed to have met him. Amazing work, Amaan!
