Would not use this compnay

I purchased a cube reaction back in April. The bike then just stopped working. I contacted the shop and they advised us to send the bike back. This cost us £75 to return the bike for a warranty fault that we could not have caused. I had to wait approximately 3 months for the problem to be solved, communication was great though. They then returned the bike damaged, without a charger and without the battery covers.

I sent a video straight in to show the damage, as predicted the shop are saying it wasn't their fault. They contacted the delivery company that they choose for me to be then told a £3000 bike that I purchased and used about 5 times is now damaged and they won't do anything about it.

Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the strength of our communication throughout your case. We’re sorry to hear that you were ultimately dissatisfied with your experience, and we’d like to take this opportunity to clarify the timeline and actions taken.

Your bike was collected on 09/07 as requested. Unfortunately, there was an initial delay in diagnosing the issue due to receiving the incorrect key—twice—which prevented us from completing the necessary checks. We understand this was an honest mistake on your part. Once the correct key arrived on 22/07, diagnostics were completed by 25/07, and it was confirmed that the battery had failed and required replacement under warranty.

Battery shipments typically take longer than standard parcels due to their classification as hazardous goods. Once the replacement arrived, the battery was installed, and your bike was confirmed as fully operational by 08/08. Dispatch was then scheduled for 16/08, as per your request, since you advised us you would be unavailable to receive the bike before 19/08.

Regarding the missing part in your returned package, we acknowledged this was a human error and arranged next-day delivery of the missing cover to resolve the issue promptly. We again apologise for this oversight.

Concerning the reported damage, all bikes are video recorded upon arrival at our facility for quality assurance purposes. The damage in question was already present when the bike arrived. Based on the footage and the condition of the packaging, we believe this occurred during transit due to inadequate packing, rather than courier mishandling.

We’re pleased that you accepted the goodwill gesture offered. However, we were surprised to see your review state that we were unwilling to resolve the issue, given that your email to us acknowledged and accepted the resolution.

While we genuinely value all customer feedback and are always working to improve, we do feel your review does not accurately reflect the full context and the efforts made throughout your case, as outlined above. We hope you may reconsider this review, taking everything into account.

Custom MyO WIld M10

I recently got the Orbea Wild M10 in custom MyO from MTB Monster (see website), and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for my riding experience.

I messaged MTB Monster after seeing a similar bike on Instagram. They called me the same day, to discuss options and informed me about MyO and directed me to the MyO site on Orbea. I customised it and shared the code with MTB Monster. Such a simple and amazing way to order a bike.

The entire MTB Monster Team (believe me I've spoken to them ant some point haha) are absolutely amazing. I had so many questions about the bike, I changed the order twice, with a change of colour and nothing was too much trouble. I can honestly say, I've never had an experience like it. I’ve bought many bikes over the years and MTB monster win, no contest. I would 100% have no hesitation recommending them for all your bike needs. I even needed support on fitting a few things to the bike after it was delivered, again straight in my inbox were detailed instructions. I mean can I get any better?

For me, this is “the definitive” and all things bike retailer for me. I won’t shop anywhere else.

Onto the bike - This bike is an absolute powerhouse—the motor delivers incredible torque, making climbs feel effortless and allowing me to push further and faster. I'm not a spring chicken, nor am I very fit, but this bike...is insane and really does make a huge difference when riding.

The battery life is outstanding, easily handling long trail days without a hitch. I’ve ridden it across varied terrain, yet to hit the big trails, but so far I have zero compaints and only praise.

One of the standout features for me was the ability to custom design the paint of the M10. It’s such a cool touch that makes the bike feel truly personal.

The finish and overall appearance of the bike is stunning—I’ve had so many compliments on the look alone.

Orbea’s attention to quality and detail is evident in every component. From the frame to the suspension, everything feels premium and built to last. It’s clear this bike was engineered with serious riders in mind.

MTB Monster are an Authorised Dealer and If you're considering an e-MTB or MTB using Monster is a complete no-brainer. Highly recommend!

Amazing service from the team

Amazing service from the team, I spoke to and emailed several staff members and all of them were friendly and super helpful, even giving me advice on how to navigate Klarna!
I was looking to buy a new ebike and ideally wanted a discounted model but still with 0% over 36 months; MTB Monster where the only retailer I could find who would offer this, so that was a key factor for me, but the selection of stock and the customer service was a huge reason to purchase from them.
From start to finish the experience was faultless. Thanks all

Disappointing anticlimax

After weeks of communications I was told yesterday that they didn't actually have the bike I'd been waiting for and was hoping to be delivered this week. I was given some story about the wrong bike being in the box, even though a few days before I'd been told it was in the workshop being prepped for delivery. They sounded rather relieved when I decided enough was enough and phoned to cancel the order. Even if the story about the wrong bike being in the box was true, it doesn't say a great deal about the manufacturer's QC systems, so maybe I dodged a bullet?!

Technical knowledge was also lacking when questions were asked about componentry upgrades.

Edit: Lowering score due to the condescending reply below that I've only just decided to read. Seems to imply that I'm thick for not understanding the freehub issue. The only bit I couldn't understand was I was telling you the freehub was available from the manufacturer and you were insisting it wasn't possible to change it.

As for you appearing to be pleased at not having me as a customer, well, I can assure you you're not as pleased as I am!

We have read your review and do sympathise with the situation. It is exciting to have a new bike on the way and when something gets in the way it is a frustrating time all round. You are correct there was an issue with the manufacturer and they packed a higher specification model in a different size into the box than you had ordered. We were completely unaware of this until the mechanic unpacked your box to discover what had happened (This is why you were told the bike was in our workshop as we send this email once the warehouse receives the stock). When we contacted the manufacturer they acknowledged the issue, apologised and looked to arrange a replacement as soon as possible but you contacted us again within 24 hours to say you wanted to cancel so we did not get a chance to tell you when a replacement was possible.

In all honesty, we we're slightly relieved when you decided to cancel as a few days prior you had found the finance application process quite stressful and your emails suggested you felt quite worked up about it. We knew that a replacement would take an extra few days and we didn't feel you would be happy with this given your previous emails. A member of the team processed your refund and sent confirmation of this within 5 minutes of ending the call with you. You then sent an aggressive email suggesting we were trying to keep hold of your money and we replied with evidence to prove your refund was processed straight away and we had not delayed this.

In terms of the upgrades, you did contact us about upgrading to AXS drivetrain. We came back to you on the same day to say that this was not an upgrade we currently offered (it was not advertised as one on the website) We explained that if you wanted non T-type AXS you would just need a mech and shifter but if you wanted T-type AXS those parts only work with each other so you would need a T-type cassette which uses the XD driver and not the HG driver fitment which is what the NX cassette specified on your bike uses. You mentioned in your email that you didn't understand the freehub bit but didn't ask us to clarify further just said you were looking forward to seeing the bike so we did not comment on this any further.

We always take all feedback on board and look to improve our services where possible. In this particular case the error was not on our part but with the brand and we reacted as quickly as we could to find a resolution. The advice we gave regarding the upgrades is accurate and to suggest the technical knowledge is lacking on our side we think is unfair.

Our reputation is of the utmost importance to us and we take a lot of pride in our work so we are always really disappointed to hear when someone is not happy and make every effort to identify any areas we can improve to better support customers forward. In this particular case we feel the events were completely out of our hands and we couldn't have foreseen them.

We are sorry you are disappointed and hope you manage to source the bike you want very soon.
