Peter was wonderful!
It was my mistake that I thought this tour included a visit to Hill Top. Sadly, I was not the only customer on board who also thought it did.
The "World of Beatrix Potter" was extremely dispointing.
The tour did not dispoint. Peter was a joy! Peter's knowledge and love for the Lake District was more than evident and appreciated. The beauty and grandeur of the Lake District were beyond what we expected. I learned so much that it made me wish we had more time to explore the Lake District. Thank you, Peter for a wonderful afternoon!

Worth every penny!
The wit and wisdom of our tour guide, Tim, was brilliant - as was his driving in some tight and hair-raising situations - and the Lakeland scenery was fantastic.
This was a last minute choice for 'a day out' and it was worth every penny.

The 10 Lakes Trip was very good
The 10 Lakes Trip was very good, it allowed me to see a lot of places I would not have got to otherwise. It was very comprehensive and showed a large area of The Lake District. The Tour Guide Tim was very good, he was friendly, knowledgeable and very good at explaining everything to us all, he was also very good at driving round all the narrow country roads and being patient with other drivers who were not so competent as him.

Excellent tour
Excellent tour, very good value for money too. Ben A was a great driver and tour guide, very informative, funny and took good care of us all. Would highly recommend if you only have a day/a short time to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Bolton Castle was the highlight for me in a day of multiple highlights!

A great day in the Yorkshire Dales
We had an excellent tour guide in Graham. His depth of knowledge about the history and landscape of the Yorkshire Dales was readily apparent. Despite some unanticipated road closures, Graham was able to revise our itinerary and still provided a great day out. As he dropped us off, he quickly sketched out a tour of Hadrian’s Wall for us to do on our own.
The Yorkshire Dales themselves had spectacular scenery and sites, and we enjoyed meeting the other passengers on the tour with us.
Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Mountain Goat Tours Yorkshire Dales trip.

Our 10 lakes tour was brilliant. Our driver Derek was amazing, he was so knowledgeable and kept us all entertained, he had a great sense of humour. We would definitely use mountain goat tours again.

What can I say 10/10 from pick up to drop off Andy was full of great information and made the day brilliant
We wish we was staying in the Lake District longer as we would definitely have booked another trip with them
Also the food at the castle was lovely and the bird show is a must

Absolutely worth it
The route itself was absolutely spectacular, but Tim truly made our day. Not only did he share so much knowledge about the area, but he also kept us laughing for almost 8 hours straight. We came home with huge smiles on our faces, and this is definitely a tour we won’t forget. Thank you, Tim!

We would highly recommend Mountain Goat tours. We have taken full day tours in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dalesand both were five star- superb: fabulous itineraries, marvellous drivers/ guides who shared their knowledge - generously and with humour and passion - for these stunningly beautiful parts of the UK. We have been travelling by train and bus and Mountain Goat tours made these, otherwise inaccessible, spots easily visited. Excellent value for money and truly perfect in every way. Highly recommended.
