100% Legit

I have now made 5 separate purchases from this company. At first I was nervous about my first order being legit or not but after receiving it and upon inspection their products are 100% legit. The packaging of the cigars is over the top meaning they make sure no damage will happen along the shipping process. Was very impressed with how much bubble wrap they put in. I ordered a box of 10 H. Upmann Cigars and when I put the code into the Habanos website everything came back original from the factory. They are very quick with replying back to any questions or concerns I may have made. Richard and Chelsea are fantastic. They were able to answer all questions and were very speedy with replies.

One word of advice when checking out I would highly suggest having your cigars "checked" before they are shipped out. If any cigars that you order are damaged or have mold on them they will replace and or rectify the issue. If you do not get them checked and you want to have them sealed and there is any damage, mold, or other issues you are not able to send them back or get them replaced. So again I HIGHLY recommend checking the box to have them checked before they are shipped out. Every order I have gotten from them has been perfect.

I am still waiting for proper…

I am still waiting for proper communication about my order. I have not heard from anyone and as I see these comments it is really frustrating to send email and IG messages to get no response.

Waste of money...

I made my first order and the product I received was completely destroyed. I ordered a fiver of Cohiba Siglo I and half of the feet of the cigars were shredded up the first third from being shoved back in the box. Support offered zero help, only an apology and a "we will try harder next time". For how expensive these are and how long shipping is, to receive cigars like this, so carelessly shipped is unacceptable and not worth it.

Through investigation, we found that the support team had asked for your order number to try and resolve on many occasions which therefore delayed the date of resolution. I have ordered Multiple times from this website. I was only worried and that was my first order. After that I have only received great service and the orders come faster now. The cigars come safely packed and with boveda packs. After they rest and age for awhile they are perfect. I have to shout out Chelsea. I had an issue with my delivery and she handled it quickly and without making me feel like a bother. Will definitely be ordering again soon.

I'm updating my last review when the…

I'm updating my last review when the barcode on the box of Montecristos Montefortuna sent me couldn't be verified. It still can't be verified, but after some help from Chelsea in customer service, and a little research on the internet, this does NOT mean that they are fakes. I won't get into the explanation here but it now makes sense. I also used the blacklight method and the box of Montecristo from Montefortuna looks to be genuine and authentic. Note to customer service though, it would help explaining a bit of this on your website, because I know alot of people check the barcodes.

As for the 4 Bolivars not arriving, Montefortuna has initiated an investigation and offered to make it right if I don't receive the cigars. A note on this as well, I should have clarified in my first review; it looks to be the fault of the post office and NOT Montefortuna. The cigars were definetely shipped on Montefortuna's part, but the issue seems to be with the local post office here. It brings piece of mind to know there is a Montefortuna guarantee in place if they never show up.

Just want to update my last negative review since Chelsea took the time to explain why the code may not be working. I will definetely be ordering more from Montefortuna going forward!

The only positive thing I can say is…

The only positive thing I can say is that Richard from customer service is great with helping with any issues, but the number of problems I’ve had with my first order make it possible that this will be my first and last purchase. I placed an order for a sampler pack, 5 Cohiba Siglo II’s and 5 Siglo III’s, 5 Trinidad Coloniales, and 10 Romeo Y Julieta No 2’s. The five pack, Trinidad’s, and Julieta’s were all fine except for one of the No 2’s was cracked in half. Four of the five Siglo III’s were rolled so tight they were unsmokable and three of the Siglo II’s were covered in mold. I reached out to customer service about the Siglo II’s and Richard promptly responded and said that they would send me replacements for the three cigars. I’m still waiting to receive those three cigars so I guess I’ll have to update my review when that is resolved. I will also note that besides the delayed processing time (I was told there was a backlog on orders, which wasn’t a big deal as things happen and I’m not picky enough to be upset about something like that) my cigars arrived within about 5 days from the date they were shipped. But the fact that I ordered ten Cohiba’s and only three of them were usable is incredibly frustrating.

Montefortuna Steals Your Money

This company has the worst customer service and will practically steal from you.

I ordered a few boxes of cigars from them back in April of 2021. After not receiving any shipping confirmation within two weeks, I reached out to find out what's going on with my order.

They told me the cigars were out of stock but may be back in stock soon. They said I could get a refund or wait it out.

Knowing Cubans go in and out of stock often, I was willing to wait and gave them a full month. In that time, I received no communication and had to be the one to follow up with them.

After a month, I asked for a refund.
It took three weeks to get a partial refund.

When I asked where the rest of the refund was, they told me they charge a $40 restocking fee and won't be refunding me anymore.

They kept $87 from the order I paid for (almost three months ago) and won't refund it.

While the amount of money is low, this is practically theft. How in the world do you charge a restocking fee when there is nothing to return? I never got the cigars I ordered lol.

This company is a joke and they'll steal your money too if something goes out of stock.

With how many online sites there are for Cuban cigars, you're much better off buying somewhere else.

I'll never be buying from them again.

Source of Habana Cigars

Finally, I found the amazing source of Habana Cigars, I ordered for the first time from Montefortuna and was extremely happy with their goods, and their packing of cigars, and customer service (Especially Mr. Richard). I received my package here in Saudia after a week which during this time of covid-19 and more than two months here in customs, in that time Mr. Richard was very helpful and his response was quick even on the day off, he was helpful to clear my shipment.
I was very impressed with them.
Highly recommended!

Ordered a box of Monte No 4 in May

Ordered a box of Monte No 4 in May. Actual shipment arrived surprisingly quickly - maybe two weeks and cigars were in terrific condition! Will definitely be ordering more from Montefortuna.
