If I could give this company and especially Fred and Leon a million stars I would, these two extremely professional kind, non judgemental men have literally changed my life in a day, they turned up on time sat where they could and worked out a plan to transform my flat from un-livable to a home, every step of the way they involved me, fyi they travelled from Luton to Chester with 12 hours notice actually 2 of the funniest people I have met and the first time I have smiled and laughed in 2 years, they are absolutely amazing, I can not recommend this company enough, they have an amazing very quick service and the workers literally do not leave anything not cleaned, these two have helped me so much with my mental health and I can finally live my life properly, there will never be enough words to thank Mel and her team, really life changing and life saving, I could go on for hours, again thank you you don't know what you actually did for me xxxx

Run a mile
I would absolutely recommend that you find a different company to do your cleaning. We paid nearly £1000 pounds for our newly purchased house to be cleaned and I really regret it.
On the plus side, the cleaners came on the right date, the carpets look great and the upstairs isn't bad at all.
However, the downstairs was barely touched. There's dust and grime and dead bugs out in the open which were just left there.
We paid for oven cleaning but that wasn't done. It's still completely filthy.
The admin from the company has been hostile throughout, even before the cleaning took place. They sent the link for payment by email in advance and then chased me angrily by both email and text message around two hours into the day asking why I hadn't paid. I don't think that's long enough to start hounding clients.
That experience almost put me off following through with the booking - now I wish I hadn't given them the benefit of the doubt and gone ahead.
When I raised concerns after the cleaning about the rooms that weren't done, I didn't hear anything for a week. When I chased, they sent an email saying that the case had been closed. My concerns weren't addressed and there was no explanation or reasons given. I asked again but I didn't get any response.
I wouldn't quibble over small issues or missed patches, but this was a big and pervasive issue. When I asked if they would come back and clean the bits that were skipped or if they would give a partial refund (I only asked for the oven cleaning fee back because that part was definitely skipped) the company didn't reply.
Run a mile, find an alternative. I'll never get my money back.
UPDATE FOLLOWING REPLY FROM THE COMPANY:
How upsetting to see a business making up allegations about a client and spouting insulting language to cover its own failings. It's deeply unprofessional.
I suppose the business model normally relies on making clients sign a satisfaction form to head off complaints about poor cleaning down the line, but since I did not sign one, it has had to resort to other tactics.
I never threatened to post a bad review at any stage. In fact, I was nothing but polite and friendly in correspondence throughout.
I took contemporaneous photos, as the metadata proves, with crystal clear shots of dead spiders, thick grime and networks of cobwebs shining in the sunlight. The company's post-cleaning images show upstairs and the microwave - not the rooms they skipped and not the filthy oven.
I have the photos and copies of all the emails to prove it.

It is truly disappointing when a vengeful and angry anonymous customer hides behind a sobriquet and leaves a mendacious review for the dual purposes of harming a reputable business whilst seeking to obscure their own shortcomings.
The facts are:
We make it clear from the first interaction with all prospective clients that payment must be made in full, in advance, to secure a booked slot. This is outlined in ALL our emails and communication prior to booking and is repeated in the quotation and in any subsequent emails when payment has not been received in a timely manner.
For all cleaning services we make it crystal clear, again in all emails and repeated in our FAQs and Ts&Cs that if a client is not present to sign the works off as completely satisfactory, it will be assumed that it was completed to our usual high standards. Furthermore, we make it clear that any issues regarding cleaning should be raised within 24 hours of the works being completed. In this case the client was not present to sign-off the works and almost a week after the works were completed raised ‘concerns’ around the quality of the works and emailed in 5 or 6 fuzzy images, one of which was of a dirty oven. Our operatives always take copious high definition images of all bookings both before and after the cleaning and the >30 post-cleaning images were emailed to this client twice, together with further reference to both our FAQs and Ts&Cs which outline the terms of the contractual arrangements and obligations.
The post-clean images showed gleamingly clean ovens and a spotless property and this client’s threats to leave negative reviews, lest we make a partial refund, fell on deaf ears. We will NOT be harassed or coerced into refunding client’s that resort to using these scurrilous and spiteful methods.

Had the pleasure of using Mel’s cleaning again to clear & clean the upstairs of my mums house (she is a hoarder) the 3 people who did the work were friendly & helpful & did a fantastic job. After a very difficult time, the three men who came to help clear my brothers flat were excellent. As this was an extreme clean I would not hesitate to recommend Mels cleaning for this type of job. Very professional and empathetic.

Absolutely fantastic service! The cleaners arrived on time and got straight to work. They were incredibly hardworking, efficient, and such pleasant people—really lovely to have around. It was a tricky clean with furniture still in the house and me being there, but they worked around everything seamlessly. They did a fabulous job, and I would highly recommend them

I booked with Mel’s Cleaning for a deep/extreme clean following a period of mental ill health and self-neglect.
The standard of the clean is utterly fantastic, with the staff having cleaned with obvious care and compassion.
I was taken into hospital the evening before the clean was due to take place and despite this spanner in the works, the team overcame the obstacle and still finished the clean.
They are fantastic.

Pre move in clean
I was initially worried as not able to speak to someone. However, the responses via email were prompt, Mel’s cleaning charged a very reasonable price.
A team of 3 arrived and did a wonderful job on a neglected house that was a bit gross. Would def book with Mel’s cleaning again

I recently had an extreme clean and tidy done by Mel’s cleaning (4/11/2024) and I’m beyond impressed with the service provided and the communication between all the team and I. I was unable to be present at the time of the clean so the cleaners made sure to call/contact me throughout to check things over with me and to confirm what my main focuses were. I was then emailed multiple photos of what had been done and to say I was amazing is an understatement! They completely transformed the rooms I needed doing! They went above and beyond and I can’t thank them enough. I shall 100% be booking with them again in the future!

Brilliant service
We used Mels Cleaning company when our dad downsized from our family home. Nice easy process to get a quote and to get booked in. The cleaners arrived when they said they would and were happy to be left to do their job which allowed us to get dad settled. 5 star service. Would definitely recommend

Poor company... Great cleaners
Company was poor. They charge a fortune but don't even pay for bin bags. Plus they don't provide their staff with adequate cleaning equipment. We had to buy a decent broom (they had one tiny one between four) and they had to borrow dusters. Also they only had one small Henry hoover between four of them. And no power cable extension cords.
Cleaners were brilliant and worked really hard though but times you pay for and they stay don't appear to allow them time for any lunch and other breaks which is concerning.
I raised concerns by email but got no reply so once you've paid it's clear they don't listen to feedback.

Thank you Laura for finding the time to leave us a review, the contents of which somewhat alarmed us, so a FULL investigation was conducted and is now concluded.
ALL our operatives are issued with everything they'll need to complete a job to the highest professional standard, this includes multiple vacuum cleaners, extension leads, brooms, cloths and cleaning solutions etc etc. All operatives are also instructed to take regular breaks and this is supervised by the team leader, as is the equipment and transport. We do NOT supply bin bags and this is made clear in our FAQs and Ts&Cs.
Our investigations concluded that the management team had been misled by the team leader, who failed to take the correct vehicle to your booking and also failed to notify us of this error. The correct vehicle was FULLY equipped and fit for purpose butv was not used.
As a result of these failings disciplinary action is in progress.
It is clear, that in this instance, we failed to deliver the highest standard of service and for that we unreservedly apologise.
We have now put additional monitoring methodologies in place to ensure that this does not happen again.
Once again - sorry!!
Incredible service in every way
I was astounded by the sensitivity, professionalism, and skill of the cleaners who came to clear and clean the flat. The amount they achieved in such a short time was incredible, and they paid great attention to detail. Even all the little touches of organizing remaining possessions into nice places and being considerate with every little thing. Honestly I couldn't sing their praises enough. They made what was a very difficult time so much easier in every way, and I would recommend that anyone use Mel's Cleaning for any big deep cleans or difficult and overwhelming jobs.
