I ordered and paid for 2 router bits online last week. Heard nothing for 6 or 7 days so reached out by email and had no reply. I then phoned the shop and talked to a really helpful guy called Craig who explained that the 2 router bits i wanted were in a big box of mixed sizes and it was difficult for him to locate. During our conversation I also realised that i'd mistakenly ordered one the wrong size and Craig was extremely accommodating and helpful in correcting my mistake at no extra charge. He promptly located the 2 bits and shipped them immediately. I received them the following day and I am pleased with their performance.
The initial radio silence almost warranted a 1 star review like others on here, but the 5 star service i received after a simple phone call lands us here at 4.

Please help McQuillan Tools help you if they overlook your order.. Pick up the phone and reach out. I did and will shop here again .

I bought an air compressor online off them and after three weeks i am still awaiting delivery. After getting no tracking number i started following up withm them through the online portal / email and heard nothing back initially. I was then told initially they were waiting to get stock back in, now it has been dispatched a week ago and still not delivered. Poor communication, service and i wont buy from them again.

Ordered an Impact driver after nearly one week and no response to 3 emails requesting the status of the order, I managed to get through on the phone only to be told the item was not in stock.

Really disappointed they used to be good.

Bought a generator and a Mig welder. Very happy with the product and the staff were very helpful and nice

Ordered Wednesday evening, delivered Friday lunchtime. Turn around excellent.
Yet to open so will be back with update

Sales person sold me a faulty tool! He picked it up from the shelf even though it was not a fully functioning item sold it to me regardless! I will return this item and not ever shop there again.

I read a good number of negative reviews about McQuillan Tools so was a bit unsure when ordering but my experience with them was excellent. Took a few days for the order to be delivered but I messaged them (using the chat function on their website) after it had not been despatched after a couple of days to enquire when it would be despatched. I got an instant response and was told they were awaiting a large order from the UK and once in my order would be despatched.

I contacted them via the chat function on their website. A number of reviews had suggested it was very hard to get in contact with them and that they did not reply. This was not my experience but to be fair I didn't attempt contact them via phone / email just said I'd try the chat from their website expecting some bot to reply with generic generally unhelpful answers such that you then need to call and speak to a human but this was a person called Ben and he could not have been more pleasant or helpful. A credit to the company.

Order shipped last Friday July 26th and it arrived by DPD today. Everything was securely packed. In fact they (McQuillan Tools) put additional plastic fixings on one of the tools which shipped in the manufactures box. Everything was perfect.

In addition I find them pretty competitive on their pricing and my order was free delivery. All in all from my personal experience I could not recommend them highly enough. I have not affiliation with McQuillan Tools bar being a happy customer and I would have no hesitation in buying from them again.

Unfortunately the staff are very unfriendly and rude. when they do decide to speak to you they then guide you to the tills asap as if they want you out instead of letting keep shopping and spend more money.
The girls on the till are like robots and never even say hello or goodbye.
I can’t understand it. Even my wife said when we left “ that must be an awful place to work “

Bought a new dewalt drywall collated attachment & PZ2 bits for it,staff very helpful & will buy here again!

Disnterested, rude staff who couldn't be bothered with basic "hello", "goodbye" or "thank you". I regularly visit this store to pick up bits and pieces and I still have the first DeWalt chopsaw I bought from them nearly 20 years ago. Most of the older staff who are there years (Eamon being one that springs to mind) are friendly and helpful. However today I was "served" by Sean who didn't grunt one word (not one!) other than the price of items I'd purchased. I've found this with some of the younger guys in here, bad attitude and rude. I'm no old fart, but I've been buying and using good tools for nearly 30 years and rarely have I come across such ignorance from people who should treat customers a lot better. Manners cost nothing; think I'll be paying more visits to Richard Gough's around the corner in future, where you are guaranteed good service and great tools, sold with pride and a smile!

Ordered on 26th October and item arrived today, 8th November. Customer service on the phone was polite and friendly but they need to get their act together if they want to do web sales in this competitive market. I won't be using them again.

Arrived within a couple of days.
Part fitted perfectly.

Enquired on website regarding a table saw (expensive item) no response after 7 days. Tried to phone them up, and was given the run around to try different people and different stores. Not worth my effort!!!
In these times, they should be biting your hand off to make expensive sales. Guess they don`t care!!!

Visited mcquillans yesterday Monday morning, was greeted by milo ,very pleasant and showed me exactly what I was looking for. Dewalt sds battery drill and dewalt battery planner,batteries ,charger and dewalt box .Great knowledge of all tools ,well worth the drive from roscommon. Last visit was to Capel St for an elu chop saw in 1995.will return soon for more tools.everything u need in one shop. Thank you

I bought a DeWalt stud detector which was given false readings. Not only did they refuse to take it back but then lad behind the counter had a really bad manner about him. I qualified as an electrician 32 years ago, never came across such a hostile attitude regarding a return.

I ordered a few tools a month ago and they didn't arrive, I can't contact any staff and now I have to buy the tools I once paid for from another store. strange

Really good to deal with. I really like selection in store and have found most of the staff knowledgeable and helpful. I have bought most of my tools from Blanchardstown store.
