Had an issue with one of the products not working properly and I was deeply impressed at how effectively the problem was resolved with the same member of staff communicating throughout via email. So impressed. Would definitely buy from Maplin again.

My first product that came was unfortunately faulty, but they sorted this very quickly and sent a replacement which works perfectly. Steve from the properav care team was brilliant

The delivery took 8 days because Maplins & Yodel managed to mix things up & send the parcel back to the depot.
When the product arrived all the instructions were in chinese and the bluetooth wouldn't connect.

Bought a tv bracket, unfortunately it wasn’t quite right…that wasn’t the problem. The return process was very painful….several emails back and forth contradicting information re return process….eventually 6 emails later I had to send photos of the bracket …very bizarre! And then 2 emails later received a return label!
Sadly won’t be using the website to purchase again !

Very easy to use website. User friendly ordering service, I ordered some DJ lighting and was pleasantly surprised when my product arrived quicker than estimated, which was a pleasant surprise. About to order another now. #MA9462

BUYER BEWARE!!! I recently bought a sit/stand laptop stand, but when it arrived the measurements weren’t right for the space. I had only taken one part out of the box, so I carefully repacked this and it was good as new.

Then I looked into the returns process. Unlike most online retailers this is a manual process. I emailed to request a return and the first piece of bad news was the huge deduction of around £20! Very unusual, but I guess that’s on me for not reading the small print.

Next up is a back and forth of emails asking for photos of the item, the box etc. This for something worth less than £100!

Finally a courier was booked, but when he turned up he said he wasn’t there to pick up furniture. We ended up giving him another parcel as a result and Maplin did nothing to track this down, so we are £50 out of pocket thanks to their choice of clueless courier (again partially our error, but Maplin took no interest in helping find the lost parcel).

Finally a week after it was eventually collected, still no refund.

I buy a lot online and I’ve never known such a painful or costly returns process. Needless to say I will not be buying from them again.

The item was something I couldn't find anywhere else, delivered within the promised time frame. Great to see that you still have the web service still running after my local store closed.
