The worst customer service ever experienced in my life. Absolute disgrace, item not received, refused refund and then have the nerve to call you a liar.

Avoid this disgraceful company, no wonder they went into administration when they dont care about customers.

They will take your money, not send goods just to keep themselves out of administration again.

I could say a lot more using some very strong words but it would be too nice for them.

There are a lot good retailer and online stores out there, Maplin is certainly not one of them.

I will not be giving this bunch of thieves any money again in the future.

***returned 2x hard cases never got refund## no customer service no contact phone number. Filled out help form many times but they just stopped responding email after they received goods back. Looking for help to get my money back

To date, I have not received my item, despite Maplin taking money for the purchase.
I contacted customer care multiple times, with only one response on my first email and the representative said, "the item was out of stock when I placed my order (though there was no upfront information to inform the customer of this detail) and it is coming in stock, do I want to proceed or get a refund." In light of being told that the item was coming in stock I opted to continue with my purchase. Subsequently I have not received my item despite numerous requests to Maplin. Moreover, I have not received any communication to update me of the status or the delivery details.
It has been extremely difficult and stressful to communicate with Maplin and Under the Consumer Rights Act, I respectfully request that you please cancel this order, reimburse me the amount of money that has already been taken from my debit card.
I have noted the many disgruntled customers of Maplin online that are still waiting for either their items or refunds. Please note, I would like this to be completed in a timely manner or I will be forced to take further action to rectify this situation.

Dreadful. We ordered a product which was the wrong size. Complicated and long return system. Emails not answered, no telephone number to contact anyone

Dreadful company. We ordered a Bluetooth speaker. Realised it was the wrong size as soon as it arrived.

Trying to cancel an online order as I ordered the wrong model of camera. Trying to cancel the order and then re-order the correct product. No response from Maplin.

The worst online shopping experience ever ordered a bday present that cost £449 and 2 to 3 working days to be delivered....payment taken straight away...for me to wait days hearing nothing,you send an email to get no reply,then 2 days later someone called mike responds(pointlessly)to say will speak to dispatch,hear nothing back for 3 more days,i try to go on maplin online chat(which constantly says unable to use)to send a reply email to mike to ask what the issue is...to get a reply saying couldnt get hold of dispatch?how on earth can you not get hold of dispatch for the same company you work for,in total nearly 2 weeks later i get an email saying they never had the item in stock in first place(said was 10 in stock online at time of purchase)and they could ship another scooter amd theyd be happy to discuss a price,no price included in the msg even tho they stated which scooter they were referring to being in stock and the amount of time id waited(10 days after the bday)was no way i was ordering another item to repeat the same process,i request a refund to be told would take 3 to 5 days long and short is this isnt the maplin people remember from the high street its name has been baught by a company that i highly doubt could find there ass with both hands in the dark, avoid at all costs unless you want your time wasted and money returned weeks later,maplin pls dont reply with another msg with tons of spelling mistakes by someone who is meant to be sending important replys to customers yet seem like they got a z in english overall a complete joke of a company just look at rest of reviews

£250+ order. Amongst it I order 10 rechargeable KODAK AA batteries. 11 days later I receive 2 packs of two KODAK rechargeable batteries and 2 really cheap and nasty looking USB battery chargers that I don't need or want. No explanation. Everything ordered has arrived in dribs and drabs. Won't answer emails asking for a VAT invoice either.

Good price of the scale my body composition Xiaomi 2 and fast delivery. I used to buy in another online store but now I am sure that I will repeat with maplin because I am comparing prices and many products are cheaper here, I recommend it.

This is not the company that you might think it is. If you remember the high street shops, with friendly and knowledgeable staff do not assume that you will get the same service here.

An item was ordered 3 days ago and an email received that same day informing me of its despatch and confirming a Parcel Force "48 Express" reference number. Alarm bells started ringing when I checked the Parcel Force tracking and noted "Advised" as the status for several days. No delivery was forthcoming, so I contacted Maplin customer service. [there is no telephone number, and all contact is via web form]. It transpires that my parcel was NOT despatched on Wednesday - as originally informed - but was apparently sent on Saturday. I am now advised that it will be delivered on Tuesday - we shall see.

This is more than unsatisfactory, as the couple who were due to receive the item will have had their wedding, and will be enjoying their honeymoon in Barbados.

I ordered a trucknet snooper sat nav 5 days ago and have not heard anything about when it will be delivered ..

If there is a delay I would suggest an email stating that would be good !!!

Good mouse; easy to use and responsive. Delivery by Royal mail is a plus as they are reliable and always come to the door, unlike some couriers who just dump deliveries in the lobby.

Atrocious. The website crashed mid order and i got no confirmation. So I ordered again. Then I got 2 confirmations. I cancelled the second order immediately. But they didn’t respond to me and shipped both. Then they told me I would have to repay to return the second item. Can’t really believe this is legal. These people are thieves.

Good price and good delivery. Verrrry sluggish with processing refund after return.

My item was faulty, they tested it and said it wasn’t and sent me a video. I can’t work the product following the instructions repeatedly.

They decided not to believe me and deducted £8 from the total amount for the return fee !!!!!!

What a rip off!
