Support Ticket 17760378 Linode is worthless SCAM VPS services Beware

Look what this MFKs email me when you cannot acces to your account I truly do understand your desire to close this account. As much as I'd love to perform this on your behalf, we don't have the access to do this. That being said, we will love to help you gain access to your account once again in order to close the account.

As it stands, your account will continue to be billed if it has active services on it. In order to stop these charges, the services must be removed from the account or the account must be closed.

In order to remove two factor authentication, we ask that you review the previous message with regards to sending in your documents. Once these have been sent in, we will review them and remove two factor authentication from your account if applicable.

Scamers

It was free. I tried to use it for my python bot. But nothing worked. And I forgot about Linode until 01.07.2022, when they try to get payment for something that I didn't use even one day.

Received tons of spam scam emails about…

Received tons of spam scam emails about casinos, prizes, etc. dozens, dozens- hundreds by now FOR MANY MONTHS-- ALL USING LINODE IP AS SENDER - it's obviously one fraudster as all emails use the same format and style. Filed complaint online using Linode form at www dot linode dot com slash legal dash abuse several times, forwarded scam email and header to abuse at Linode dot com and support at Linode dot com using different email addresses. But the problem persists. It's not about using an email address and getting late service-- this is going on for months with Linode not taking any proactive measures to stop it, as if this is all new to the company. Against California CCPA and FTC CAN-SPAM ACT.

On June 29, 2022, I received the following scam spam from Linode IP -- this fraudster emails look similar as it is very comfortable using Linode IP addresses ONLY, again, for months. This is not new. I am sure it will not be the only scam I will get today from Linode--no way to unsubscribe

Award winning support my foot

My registration was cancelled automatically by their system. I tried to ask for help by emailing to their support email, but after more than a week there's no response at all. Nice support team.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD

Will not cancel your subscription. Lost my login details and they absolutely refuse to cancel my subscription via my linked email adress. Forced to report as fraudulent transaction as the only way out of this. Horrible service, do NOT recommend.

As we explained in your ticket, there's an easier way: you can cancel your account by logging into the Linode Cloud Manager (https://cloud.linode.com) and canceling your account with a few clicks (https://cloud.linode.com/account/settings). I signed up for Linode and had false positive account block

I signed up for Linode and had a false positive fraudulent activity notification after signup. I sent and an email and received no response after 2 days. As infuriating as that was I loaded 10 dollars call time and called them, spoke to a lady named Abrose or Amber, cant remember for sure. I recieved curteous and professional service. Just for this, I will choose Linode.

Sign up problem.

Everytime i make an account it gets cancelled for "fraudulent behavior" i've tried to contact them about this issue but they wont help. I do not recommend Linode get DigitalOcean instead its much better than this.

I received an email that says :
A recently created account with this email address was canceled by our automated systems. This was due to activity or patterns associated with fraudulent behavior. Additional attempts to sign up may also be rejected.
What type of fraud ? seriously ?
I was excited to use Linode after reading customer reviews
But now , I think I'll keep using AWS

Disgraceful company refusing to cancel…

Disgraceful company refusing to cancel my services after being locked out of my account and have been charging me for months despite me telling them I can't use my services. Asked for proof of who I am to cancel my services and apparently my proof wasn't sufficient yet it blatantly is. Absolutely disgraceful will never use them again, will never recommend them again.

I have not even signed up for Linode as…

I have not even signed up for Linode as no use for it but have been getting billed every month sometimes twice a month . I have contacted support with no reply why is there no complaints email??

Dieses Unternehmen hostet einen spammer, der seit ein paar Wochen unter der gefälschten Absenderadresse wewe.global massivst Spam verschickt, und nichts dagegen tut, frei nach dem Motto "Der bezahlt dafür, juckt mich nicht".

Edit: Thanks for the "answer", Linode, but no, the spamming still occurs, it just switched fake sender address from wewe.global to chess.com but is still spamming around. Seems like a candidate for an ASN block.

Fastest network

They have the fastest network I've tested. The fastest access to anywhere in the US. Servers are inexpensive and at a good price. I recommend to try. People were given $100, and they complain. I do not understand.

Good service

I have a VPS on Linode for more than two years. The machine went unavailable a few times, but got back to work rather quickly. Last year, it is very stable. The support is good. Many locations and services available.
