While linode is a alright host, it has its issues and a lot of them. They used to offer MongoDB Hosting, however stopped after no update to the community. Costs have also risen, while other competitors have lower costs. Support is also very slow, and it takes days for support to finally reach out.

O. If I Could give 0, I would. If you try to sign up for this site they won't let you beacause you use a vpn or because of their conditions . The worst: they accuse you of being fraudulent. Be cautious with this one .
After 3 days of trying to get an account, contacted support and haven't gotten an answer and every time being flagged for fraudulent behavior I am done, I´m not wasting more time on this.
The Nanode is affordable great for small projects. I was able to deploy my website quickly. This is my first time so the detailed documentation was very helpful.
I just want to report my recent negative experience with them. The company is now called Akamai. So I wanted to subscribe and try their services to host my website. After I submitted all the required information, my credit card details, address, telephone number etc I get a screen message saying thank you, we are reviewing your application. Eh? Ok! After few minutes, I get an email with obj "Signup Cancellation". I was simply rejected. They give me a link if I want to appeal the decision, and they're saying that, eventually, you'll hear back from us. I haven't. Well, if this people is capable of similar weird behaviors at the underwriting stage, I can imagine what might happen if one day you have an issue during your normal account activity. Better stay away from them. PS: I wasn't aware of their Trustpilot score, otherwise I would have not given it a try.
I've been a linode user for my various websites, test servers and backups for about 5 years. It was really a good move from previous vendors. However, since Akamai merged, support has disappeared. I can do better myself. For example, hotmail recently unleashed a barrage of unwarranted IP blocks, one of which hit the linode server I use as a dedicated website. There is no spam registered for any of the IPs in the range. Of course, reaching MS for the issue replies with a canned response. Linode simply parrots the same canned response and does nothing for its users. It simply lets Microsoft block IPs without question, without action, without any sense of urgency to the business or commerce effects. Linode/Akamai does not seem to be interested in fixing or finding out why or approaching a higher tier level of support. In fact, when I asked for copies of actions taken, Linode simply displayed the same canned email forms I used with MS. Linode/Akamai has no ability to solve a simple problem like this so my recommendation is to stay away, find a provider that is big enough to at least talk to the postmasters of companies blocking their own services. When they can't do that, they have no value and your business will suffer when support can't fix basic things like a unsubstantiated block. Anyone can sit around collecting monthly subscriptions but users expect more from a Linode/Akamai combo. Shame on Akamia/Linode support.
Wrote a review back in March about my rough experience with their infrastructure.
Shocker, an email arrived to me this week informing me that they're discontinuing the sale of their database products. We still keep ours but will no longer sell their lineup since they do not believe in the infrastructure. This is the right move but they should have done this way sooner and helped us out with failing databases. It felt like every month I would get an email informing me of a failed cluster.
As I said before Akamai with the price increase and acquisition I would be leaving and I have finally done it. Vultr took my feedback and that's where I will take my database business since they seem to care more about their customer's concerns.
I hope you guys get your stuff together and wish you guys the best. I may consider returning in the future but I am very happy with my current provider.
I started using Linode in 2014 and am a happy customer to this day. They run about 20 of my servers, hosting my services for a few hundred thousand users. Uptime and support are great. In fact, I decided to write this because I had a very good support experience (fast response with great information) just yesterday. Their object storage is useful, but it could be a little faster. Finally, I think their prices are very competitive. To me, for 9.5 years and counting, they are an excellent provider.
Not serious. I used their website email to contact them (aug 22) about a serious copyright infringement. A website has stolen my posts and is blatantly profiting off of them with display ads. Meanwhile Linode is hosting them and has blatantly ignored my emails. I sent them all the information. Every day they are profiting more and Linode is just radio silence and has done nothing. Where are the ethical concerns? Follow up sent 2 weeks later absolutely nothing. I have never seen anything like this.
*Update: I have re-sent according to information provided below. It's a shame you never followed up earlier a month ago and users now have to resort to adding a public review to request assistance. I look forward to seeing how serious you are dealing with the copyright complaint.

I am just here to tell that Linode is an amazing company with a great support team. Even though i had some problems in the past they are now fixed thanks to a support team that was willing to help multiple times. The services they offer on their platform are easy to set up and come along with a great quality.

I found their sales representatives to be helpful and friendly, although there were instances where they seemed slightly out of touch with the capabilities of the current platform. Ultimately it turned out I would need to find a different host for the specific features I required for my organization.
Linode offers a wide range of VPS solutions that cater to the needs of many users at various price points. I was pleasantly surprised to find that even their 'Low Tier' servers were equipped with modern and performant CPUs. This level of performance exceeded my expectations and showcased the quality of their infrastructure. It's worth noting that while Linode excels in cloud server offerings, they currently do not provide bare metal servers as part of the Akamai/Linode infrastructure (assuming Akamai is the new brand moving forward, I’m not certain of the details of that transition).
Lastly, I would like to highlight the exceptional support provided by Linode's team. The support staff demonstrated a high level of knowledge and professionalism, and I always received prompt responses to my queries or issues. This level of support instilled confidence in me as a customer, knowing that I could rely on their expertise whenever I encountered any challenges.
