Great solicitors. Informative, helpful, and friendly. Matt helped me to successfully remove my caution without a hitch. He guided me through the whole process, explaining each step clearly. I definitely recommend them.

After reading Matt Elkins’ Trustpilot page before I contacted him a year or so ago, here I am leaving my review which feels like a dream come true. Matt Elkins represented me in my petition to remove my arrest record, and the deletion of my records from the PNC (and local records) were accepted.

I was arrested a few years ago after a domestic incident. It was a very upsetting experience which in no way warranted an arrest (which is something the police officer who interviewed me at the station had also told me). I was sent home with NFA and I naively thought that was the end of it. I was so wrong. The arrest was for a qualifying offence, which meant that it would stay on my record until I reach 100 years of age. When I found out this information, to say I had a meltdown was an understatement. I was in the middle of my degree and could no longer apply for volunteering positions due to the need for an enhanced DBS certificate. This record also halted my travel plans and filled me with a real sense of dread and anxiety on a daily basis, thus causing the deterioration of my mental health.

Not knowing what to do, I did some research on arrest record deletions and saw the same thing over and over again, worded differently: “arrest records cannot be removed”. However before I lost all hope, I came across Matthew Elkins’ Legisia website and found a blog post he wrote on the removal of arrest records. I very quickly got in touch with his lovely receptionist who got me into contact with him. I am so glad I made this decision. Matt is an expert on the removal of criminal records in this country and I felt like my matter was in very safe hands.

Matt was always frank about the prospect of success, and never made any promises that my record would be removed. He actually told me in our first phone call that arrest records can be harder to remove than cautions but that he had faith in my case and decided to represent me.

When I received my draft submissions from him before he sent my request for record deletion to ACRO I was stunned by how well he represented me. For the first time since I was arrested, I did not feel alone in defending myself. He built my case carefully and left no room for error - I could not be happier with the representation I received. Less than two months after Matt submitted my request, my arrest record was deleted from the PNC. The police force also decided to delete my local records after Matt sent them my submissions directly and they responded to him a week later to confirm deletion despite this being outside their retention period. I am so elated and to be honest, I still don’t think it has sunk in. This dark part of my life suddenly disappeared and it was all thanks to his help. I feel light and confident again.

I was arrested and cautioned after an incident drinking with family. Once released and after discussions with my wife and other family members it became apparent that I did not actually do what I received the caution for.

Matt was fantastic from start and finish, very knowledgeable and would not have been able to get an old caution removed without his expertise.

Like many others I was beside myself with worry having received a caution for what I would consider a very minor incident. After researching the implications of a caution I was in total and utter shock at how underplayed this had been and the implications for my career.
