The front staff was very helpful in…

The front staff was very helpful in securing a room, and that was greatly appreciated. I do wish I'd stayed in my car instead.

The hotel itself had a strange old smell (could use a filter) and the room itself seemed unused - it smelled like mildew and worse. The sheets showed signs of use because of white spots and a few brown ones. No clean sheets were available, and the blanket offered had what appeared to be several small round dead bugs (whether bedbugs or otherwise) folded inside. I suspect that room is generally not used except possibly by the staff. Luckily, I had items I could use as protective bedding.

The good, for possibly other rooms, is that there is plenty of parking and many doors - not much walking needed. The room was quiet, and the heating and air were good. There were many amenities, such as a refrigerator, hotplate, and dishwasher, with one-use items such as Palmolive. There were also ample toiletries by Dove. The bathroom appeared clean. There were many drawers for toiletries. The towels smelled, but there were two sets. There was also a blanket sealed in plastic in the cabinet. The bed was too soft but fine, and there were four pillows and a comforter. There were also blackout curtains. They could have provided more towels and paper towels (none were left). They could also have provided more plastic bags.

I cannot recommend the hotel because of the bad smell, lack of clean sheets, and dead bugs inside the blanket. But those are things that the hotel can easily change through an air filter, consistently thorough cleaning of all spaces, steam cleaning the carpets, and a policy of always changing the sheets.

Exceptional

Exceptional, friendly staff. Special acknowledgment to Amy on reception. This lady was so understanding of my circumstances and needs during my stay. Also got to mention the service engineer, upon arriving to my room, TV power was out. He sorted immediately, and was very friendly. As for the hotel and facilities. Excellent room, clean, shower was fantastic. The rooftop restaurant/bar is lovely, with fantastic views overlooking the city/gardens. The breakfast options was great, tasted good (maybe food could be a little warmer) but no complaints. As for the bar, maybe add more options than lager. I suggested Guinness as I can only drink alcohol that is not gassy, and for us middle aged/elderly guests Guinness does have its health benefits. Overall, I had a fantastic stay, and would definitely stay again and recommend to all. Enjoyable experience

Easy to use site

Easy to use site, instant confirmation of booking at a hotel we wanted to stay at which had no availability on various other sites accessed including the hotel’s own site.

My stay near Bristol Airport.

The room was clean and reasonably priced. I had a good nights sleep and the breakfast snacks were
very welcome.

I did have trouble knowing how to use the code to get through the front door and into my room but the car parking lady who was working next door helped me.

Not professional at all

Not professional at all. Charged me and took forcefully £27 from me for a service I didn't receive. Ref: A so called SUMMERFIELD HOUSE. That to me was a daytime robbery. You know yourselves if you are different from band of scamers.

Stated hotel had parking which was…

Stated hotel had parking which was incorrect. Follow up from Laterooms also inaccurate as was informed hotel had discount arrangement with nearest multi storey which also turned out to be outdated info (hotel confirmed this deal no longer existed and hadn’t for some time)

Parking isn’t available at the hotel itself, but Hub by Premier Inn Edinburgh Haymarket previously offered a 50% discount at Q-Park Capital Square for multi-day stays. The hotel has since advised that this particular discount code has now expired, and a new offer is currently being arranged.

Booking through the website is a bit…

Booking through the website is a bit complicated because of the many emails and the price of the room shown was in euros and when paying I was surprised that the amount was withdrawn in sterling, but I would like to say that the website is honest and the room is like the one in the picture

The double deluxe description on your…

The double deluxe description on your web page is incorrect as the room does not come with a living room . I booked this as an anniversary treat so wanted this extra luxury. Disappointed when told by the Hotel that these type of rooms are Suites not Double deluxe as latebooking describes, and I had to take this up with them about this. What can you do to recompense me?

Disappointing

Arrived at hotel was told I had an outstanding payment to make. My card was then charged again despite having already paid. They then realised it was wrong and refunded me which took 24 hours to go back to my account.
Went to the room to find the window wide open. Closed it over and left for a meal came back to find the room smelling of vomit. Went to reception to say it hadn't been reported by housekeeping but if it was open there was obviously an issue. Got key to move room with no offer to help move bags etc despite me having a young child with me.
Breakfast was substandard with the cooked breakfast stored on hotplate with no covers meaning food was just warm. The leather on the chairs was heavily worn and not to the standard you would expect.
