Defective knife, returned for replacement or refund but then ghosted without my money
Laguiole.com sent me a defective product and, after offering to replace or repair it, they kept it and did not refund my money.
I am happy to find a place to leave this negative review.
They sent me a defective knife, the blade pressed against the side when closing so it would grind down and chip over time.
After some friendly email conversations with laguiole.com, I sent it back to be fixed or replaced.
The representative at laguiole.com decided that I was rude (I'm not sure why) and he kept my defective knife, did not send a replacement, did not send a refund, and refused to communicate further.
That's fraud and theft.
I will NEVER do business with laguiole.com and I suggest you do not, either.
Note: the knife was from from a French manufacturer, I believe it was Actiforge, with the head of a boar stamped on the blade.

Just thought I would mention that to head off the expected party-line accusation that I bought a Chinese fake or from the manufacturer's website. I did not. Laguiole.com is a store that sells products from a variety of manufacturers, including this one.
Absolutely, positively, most definitely, I purchased this knife from laguiole.com and I communicated with a specific person whose name is in a ton of very bad reviews.
Trustpilot made me remove his name but he is absolutely positively from laguiole.com despite his lies and arguing.
If we and all these others who left negative reviews all had similar experiences receiving defective or incorrect knives and were then subject to a barrage of personal insults and accusations, all know your name, how did we not do business with you, specifically? You know exactly who you are.
I am enjoying watching you squirm now that you are being confronted by so many people you have ripped off. You created your own situation through repeated instances of negative customer experiences.

Qualité du produit et du service après-vente
Possédant un couteau Laguiole acheté sur le site de cette petite PME, je peux attester de la qualité à la fois du produit et du service après-vente. Le système de fermeture de mon couteau s'étant cassé après 7 ans d'usage quotidien, le SAV a été très réactif à ma demande et j'ai reçu le couteau réparé un mois plus tard. Alors certes, le prix n'est pas donné mais pour un couteau de cette qualité (pas une copie chinoise comme sur Amazon) et un tel service de garantie, cela vaut le coup de choisir la durabilité !

Dans 100% des cas des avis négatifs, il s'agit de personnes qui ont acheté des articles made in china (ou Made in PRC comme il est souvent indiqué sur les colis). Ces achats ont été effectués sur Amazon ou sur d'autres sites (qui ne sont pas de confiance) et ces personnes viennent ensuite ici pour se plaindre alors que nous n'y sommes pour rien. Tous ces articles made in china ne viennent pas de chez nous. Le problème est que Trustpilot devrait émettre des règles et n'autoriser que les vrais clients de Laguiole.com à émettre un avis.
C'est donc normal que vous ayez été satisfaite car nous sommes une entreprise sérieuse qui est présente sur le web depuis les début du e-commerce en 1997...

Professionalità pari a ZERO
Non mi sono nemmeno ancora arrivati i coltelli, ma mi sento in dovere di segnalare la poca professionalità del loro sito. Non sono mai stata in store, ma mi è stato consigliato per la qualità dei loro prodotti.
Ho fatto un’ordine in data 11/08/2023 e i tempi di consegna per l’Italia erano di 1-4 giorni lavorativi. Ad oggi sono 17 giorni che aspetto l’ordine. Ho scritto all’assistenza dopo 10 giorni e mi è stato detto che l’avrebbero fatto ripartire perché a quanto pare era bloccato in dogana.
Sono stata messa in contatto con una certa Celine, la quale è stata poco professionale e non accorta nel far sì che il mio ordine arrivasse, infatti ho dovuto riscriverle dopo 14 giorni per sentirmi dire l’ordine è stato perso.
Professionalità e attenzione al cliente pari a ZERO.

Ciao, mi dispiace vedere che non sei cliente Laguiole.com e che non hai mai acquistato da noi. Come tutte le recensioni negative qui, devi aver acquistato coltelli "Made in PRC" altrove e sei arrivato a pubblicare la tua recensione negativa sul nostro sito.
Inoltre, non abbiamo "Celine" nella nostra azienda.
Attenzione, tutti questi coltelli “Made in China” non ci riguardano assolutamente.
Su Laguiole.com vendiamo solo coltelli di alta gamma realizzati artigianalmente in Francia.

Ce site est vraiment mauvais
Ce site est vraiment mauvais, les gérants n'aiment pas trop les sav, je devais envoyer trop de messages (3messages) car ils m'ont bloqué. Impossibilité donc de récupérer mon couteau qui a cassé au bout de 15 jours tout de même. J'ai enfin pu le récupérer 1 AN ET DEMI plus tard, mais pour cela j'ai du m'en occuper moi même et retrouver le service après vente pour pouvoir enfin récupérer mon couteau.

Ordered a cheese knife
Ordered a cheese knife, when it arrived I could tell straight away that quality was lacking! The wood handle was stained and the metal was rough and hadn't been polished. Received a snotty reply to my email but they did replace it in the end. After a few washes part of the fancy decorative metal work fell off!!! Save your money don't buy Laguiole!

Be very careful. Laguiole cutlery is high-end French cutlery. Prices are often high. It costs between 300 and 600 euros for 6 table knives. If you buy cheaper, think that the quality will not be there.

Terrible customer service, the worst I have come across. One of my knives snapped (poor quality). I emailed and all they could offer me was a replacement knife that I would have to pay for.

The problem with Trustpilot is that a lot of person give negative reviews and are not identified as customers. So, could you remove your review and publish it to the right company (which is absolutly NOT laguiole.com). And for the readers, you will see that all negative reviews are from people that are NOT customers of us.
TERRIBLE COMPANY DO NOT USE!
We have just purchased the steak knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons. When we received them, we were so disappointed with the crude quality of the stainless steel and the poor finish that we tried to return them, but Laguiole refused. They advertised these items as a 24-piece presention box, but sent 4 individual boxes. TERRIBLE COMPANY. AVOID!

Do not shop here. Terrible customer service. Buying something isn’t the issue but when you recieve an item that is different from the description the troubles begin. After returning with proof of delivery the silence begins. Despite many emails only 1 answer was given which turned out to be an empty promise. Been chasing my money for 6 now. Guess I have to show up at their door.

Excellent service et produits haut de gamme
Le seul site à vendre des produits de qualité et du vrai fait main. Les délais de livraison sont de 48 heures. Les autres avis négatifs sont vraisemblablement des avis publiés par la concurrence car ce qui est dit est totalement faut. Je passe régulièrement des commandes sur ce site pour faire des cadeaux à des amis. J'ai toujours été plus que satisfait ! La gravure permet de faire des cadeaux personnalisés exceptionnels. Le travail est vraiment soigné et le service client est impeccable ! De plus la communication avec le marchand est vraiment extrêmement sympathique et efficace ! Je recommande vraiment ce site pour un achat de qualité et en toute confiance.

Poor Service
I ordered a sommelier from this company on the 2nd July and as of today, 19th August, I am still waiting! Communication with this company results in a standard email reply of it takes time to make the article requested.
Having bought Laguiole products from other French companies this is most probably the poorest that I have had to deal with.

Cher Monsieur, Je suis désolé mais vous n'avez jamais commandé sur notre site. Nous répondons toujours de façon immédiate à tous nos clients et s'il y avait eu un probleme nous vous aurions répondu. Il n'y a aucune commande à votre nom et il n'y a aucun email a votre nom signalant une erreur.
Comme beaucoup quasiment l'intégralité des avis négatifs sur Trustpilot sous notre compte, vous faites erreur.
C'est tout de même inacceptable qu'il soit possible de laisser des avis sur Trustpilot alors que vous n'êtes pas client.
