Will never choose again or recommend for people who love their car
I booked a smart repair for 3 wheels + lacquer on all 4 wheels of my car with diamond cut alloys at £360. The head of customer services was very persuasive during the sales conversation, which gave me confidence despite other competitors advising me that smart repair isn't ideal for diamond-cut alloys.
The two technicians who arrived were polite and professional — no complaints there. However, even when I was told it would ideally take somewhere around 1 hr each for each wheels, I was surprised when the folks who came home for the repair at 9:30 was done with everything by 11:15ish which made me doubt the whole process. They were rushing up the whole process without enough time for the lacquer to dry and settle. Once the lacquer started drying, I noticed lacquer drips solidifying on the wheels. This is not about scuffs or scratch coverage — I had already adjusted my expectations for a smart repair. Lacquer dripping and hardening is a workmanship issue, plain and simple.
When I raised this with the head of customer services, I was repeatedly told "it's a smart repair" — which I fully acknowledged. But that doesn't excuse lacquer runs. Rather than discussing any resolution, the response quickly became dismissive and accusatory, claiming the drips were already on the car before their team arrived and that it could not possibly be their mistake.
No resolution was offered. No responsibility was taken.
I would not recommend this company. The aftercare and accountability simply aren't there.
