Ongoing problems with my Kenwood KTF60X15 Freezer, the door wiring loom to the PCB door temperature display and control has failed for second time in around 15 months which is frustrating given it is a known design fault acknowledged by Curry's. I paid for an extended warranty but the last time it happened getting it fixed was exhausting given I was in the middle of a family bereavement and we ended up with a complete new unit for the sake of a £15 spare Curry's could not source... how is that environmentally friendly? Anyway it has happened again on the replacement unit which is little more than 15 months old and I simply cannot be bothered dealing with the incompetence that is Curry's extended warranty department for such a relatively small problem.I found a replacement "Display PCB Connecting Wire" from "buyspares" for £20 including p+p, going to fit it myself and send Curry's the bill for part and labour! This freezer has been around for a good few years now, how can a simply design fault not have been sorted? I fully expect to be buying a new cable every year or so as long as I have this item and only fall back on the extended warranty should a major issue occur.

Kenwood food processor Model:FPM810. Cannibalises itself. Wisk attachment snapped off first use. Sizeable part of lid has chipped away during use, resulting in plastic in food. Most recently, when slicing, machine sliced off slivers of plastic from lid, again, resulting in plastic in food. Sadly just past my warranty period, but in fact use the machine very rarely, and should not be having these problems if the product was adequate quality.

Kenwood KTLD60X15 Tall Fridge and Kenwood KTLD60X15 Tall freezer are two separate unit . The door has a Digital display screen on the front door which is wires through the door hinges and it going to fail and start beeping and have no option but have currys repair it at a cost of £120 this is a scam it happened first to my fridge and now it happened to my freezer .

American style fridge freezer KBSBX17. Loved it initially as it's spacious, was relatively quiet and seemed to be a good value price. Just outside the 1yr warranty it started making an awful noise and has now given up cooling and freezing. Shoddy product. You get what you pay for. Had a lovely daewoo before. I don't think I'll ever buy another kenwood.

Bought this Kenwood F/F less than two years ago now its on its way to the dump as it packed in last week, no warning nada. Learned that the display temp on door are setting temps actually not internal temperature as there are no internal probe, so haven't really known if the real internal temp SINCE IT was set up.
Phoned Kenwood for some guidance and to see when we could get a engineer out they said it would be £170 for parts and labour and with 1 year guarantee Whoopy Doo, I usually take out insurance but since my last fridge a Beko ran for 14 years without a blip who would of thought.
Kenwood did also state that they couldn't get a engineer out due to these crazy COVD19 days which is totally understanding.

Bought a Kenwood ksbsb17 fridge freezer 18 months ago. Nothing but trouble. Within the first 3 months bearing on motor went, 6 months, control panel on door packed up. Both repaired under guarantee. Now out of guarantee control panel again not functioning. Stay well clear.

Oh dear having just flicked through all these reviews it seems I have become the latest victim of a poorly built Kenwood fridge freezer question is do I start pouring money on repairs or cut my losses and replace it, only had it 3 years

Without wanting to jinx myself, I’ve been using Kenwood’s kettle for many years. It has lasted and stood up to the test of time. It has some limescale in spite of which it works okay and boils water quite quickly. Even though it’s an old kettle it seems to work fine.

Fan is working but not making fridge cold and freezer is not cold either please help

We bought the Kenwood KSBSX17 American Fridge Freezer and ... just outside the year's warranty the freezer started randomly beeping - took everything out of the freezer, checked nothing obstructing the drawers... Called Kenwood and I can't remember the exact amount but it was in the 100s of pounds to get them to check it...much less repair it. Then it randomly stopped beeping, occasionally to start every couple of months, for a day, then stop. I currently have tape over the door open lever inside the freezer and that sort of stops it beeping. Never will we purchase Kenwood electronics again. The absolute disregard that they have terrible products on the market is shocking

Had this 'pile of rubbish' just over 18 months ago, bought from Currys, Replacement parts are on their way too, and yes pretty much the same fault as experienced by others, started sounding like there was a load of bricks dropping down inside, top of the freezer defrosting and bottom of fridge freezing. It's a pity you don't read these reviews before you buy, so AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!!! Would have given this zero stars if I could. Currys should be ashamed of themselves selling goods with inferior parts.

My advice is to AVOID Kenwood Fridge Freezers!
In January 2017 I bought a Kenwood Fridge Freezer, model KSBSDIX16.
In February 2018, just beyond the 12 month warranty, the water dispenser lever broke and I had to pay for the replacement parts and pay the service engineers call out fee to come replace said parts.
In March 2019, the internal ice dispenser device broke, so another call out fee and replacement parts cost.
Now, in February 2020, the fridge freezer has stopped working, I again called out a service engineer and incurred a fee, only to be told the compressor has broken, and this is not a part that can be replaced.
So in just over 3 years old, I've had 3 service fee's, 2 replacement parts orders, and I now need to replace the entire thing.
Definitely not good value for money...

I bought a Kenwood American style fridge freezer Nov 17 , it has stopped working and all the food in both fridge and freezer is ruined

Called Team know how and was told out of warranty and that I would have to get an independent appliance engineer. Called one out and he wouldn’t touch it

I had a Samsung American fridge freezer that lasted 15 years but due to money issues went for a cheaper make , The worst decision I ever made should have just spent the few hundred pounds more

Will never buy Kenwood again also crap customer service !

Had this fridge for 3.5yrs and has stopped working, light and front panel work but no motor noise and not cold. For me, a £429 fridge should last longer than this. Only comes with 1 year warranty which probably tells you kenwood confidence in this model.
I would avoid.

i had a very basic washing machine from kenwood but it only lasted slightly more than two years. it is also not repairable as thr bearing is gone loose, there is.no cheap way to fix it. it is going for metal scrap, but such a waste of materials.

This is a con. Freezer fan fails after 15 months. Repair by Currys is £179 with only 1 year warranty. However, the parts are the same so likely to fail again within 15 months.
DO NOT BUY.
If you need to do it yourself, see the great link previously posted by Michael Fennelly below. Still cost about £70 quid but cheaper than rip-off merchants Currys

14 month old Kenwood American fridge freezer
Right everyone seems to be having the same problem with the motor. I got a quote of curry’s and other engineers to come out and replace it and was getting charged £180-£200. All I done was order the motor of eBay then followed these steps on this page Copy and paste is because trust pilot won’t let me put links on page.

Same problem as everyone else by the looks of it, the fridge is 18months old and sounds like a tractor with error E4... Replacement part is en route but I'm not too confident on it lasting goin by the other reviews

I bought the KSBSB17 american style fridge freezer and after about 18 months the freezer fan motor went. Managed to fix that myself, then we get the constant beeping and the display changing all the numbers. Have now had to call an engineer out to fix it. Utter pile of junk. Don't bother ringing PC Currys, as they don't actually have anyone to answer the phones.

kenwood fridge freezer DO NOT BUY, this is the worst product I have ever had the misfortune to buy. Its 2 years old and has already been replaced once, now the unit is not working at all and i have already been 2.5hrs on hold to get someone to fix it. Steer well clear of KENWOOD, cheap nasty products
