Still no order, it has been weeks since the order, sent emails no response. Blatant ignorance. This is one of the worse cases of bad customer service I have come across and I have spent over 20 years in customer services.

Wish I’d seen trustpilot before I ordered. Slow delivery, tracking system doesn’t work and no responses when I chased this up.

Order arrived but wrong items in the custom pic’n’mix. Instant response on email this time, but no apology, said what I ordered was out of stock and what I received was a “suitable substitute” (it wasn’t, it was a premium sweet replaced with the cheapest possible alternative) the out of stock item is still available online even though they know they can’t fulfil these orders.

Also the classic sweets are most definitely cheap versions, so you do get what you pay for. Personally I won’t be using this company again. I’d rather pay more and get higher quality products (or at the very least, the items I paid for!) good customer service and quick delivery.

Edited to add following not only a tiktok showing details of my order and saying everything I’ve said is utter bulls**t, I’ve also received multiple unprofessional emails from the director telling me he’s reporting my review as it’s “fictional” (more professional than bulls**t I’ll give him that). I’ve now changed my review to 1 star following all this. Nowhere have you addressed the main issue.

You still have the out of stock items on your website, because of this error, I brought an item you don’t even have access to. You haven’t acknowledged your mistake or even made the amendment to your website stock. This is misrepresentation and you shouldn’t be able to cover yourselves repeatedly by sending out worse alternatives to what people have ordered from you.

The delivery was slow, and I emailed you because the tracking you sent didn’t work. You ignored my email for 3 business days but have been very quick to respond on here because now it’s affecting your image. Seems like it’s common practice that you send out “your item has shipped” emails when that’s not actually the case. Hence every customer having the same issue that they can’t track their orders because you haven’t sent them!! If you’re having to work 60-70 hours a week as you kindly explained in your email (and TikTok), and there are still constant mistakes, an inbox of emails being ignored and multiple unhappy customers as trustpilot dictates, perhaps you should be addressing how your business is run.

Every bit of correspondence from you and your team has been blunt. Not once has anyone acknowledged the error or tried to ensure customer satisfaction. That’s the problem. And that’s why I wouldn’t trust to order from your business neither would I recommend you. My review is accurate. Maybe you should be updating the stock on your website and responding to your customers emails rather than responding to reviews.

Didn't receive my order

I have tried to contact Joy of Sweets several times and had nothing in reply. £30 order was never received, yet still getting marketing emails on a weekly basis

I have used this company twice now and am really pleased with choice and value for money but their delivery times leave a lot to be desired, I ordered my sweets on the 24th May ( which was a bank holiday so understood it wouldn't be processed straight away ) and they have only just been delivered 13th June, i did get in touch about the delay and received a reply very quickly but if you are ordering just be prepared for a long wait.

Received an email saying my order had been dispatched a week ago. Tracked the order and saying still with the seller. I've emailed them 3 times now and no reply but quick to take the money out of my account.

Absolutely awful ordered over 2 weeks ago sweets not arrived and communication has been awful. Waiting for a response in regards to a refund my son is gutted as was looking forward to receiving his bundle of sweets.

What can I say such poor service , ordered on the 20 dispatched the 21st great , but no 3 weeks and 3 days later still no delivery, and just excuses when they finally reply

This is the third order I have placed now with this company. I first chose them because they had such a huge collection to choose from. When you look at sweet shops they seem to have a lot of sweets but they are all the same ones but just different shapes! This isnt the case here and they have too many to pick from! I order 3 seperate bags at a time because i like a bag of regular sweets, and a bag of hard boiled/toffees.
Communication is great and delivery is prompt. I only have praise for this company and will continue to order from them. Thank You 😊

Nothing wrong with the product, but they are clearly out of their depth - the director gets involved with fairly minor complaints and neglects to issue any kind of apology. Won’t be using them again. Don’t expect your delivery in a hurry!!

UPDATE: this was the Company Directors extremely unprofessional response to my review.

“I'm disappoint to see the review you have left, especially after I issued you an apology only 3-4 hours ago, and explanation as to why I personally answer emails. Unsure why me answering emails is such a big deal to you? I also don't appreciate your comments, about out of our depths. You have no right to make such comments, you don't know me or my businesses, how dare you be so rude!!”

My sweets finally arrived today, almost 3 weeks after ordering. After a week without shipping, I did email for an update and they said all remaining deliveries would be sent out on Tuesday next week (as it was a bank holiday weekend). My order was still shipped later than that, which was disappointing. I suppose the upside is that because of the delay, I forgot I had ordered them, so opening them today was a happy surprise.

The sweets themselves are nice, though the berries I requested haven't been included and they were the reason I picked this company over the others.

Personally, won't be ordering from here again, but if you're not bothered about the wait or which sweets you get this is an affordable pick and mix company.

Good website with a wide range of reasonably priced sweets, but feel that taking 5 working days to pack a bag of sweets is quite slow (another pick and mix site when I ordered dispatched in 24 hours and it arrived next day). I appreciate they are a family business but if order rates are so high that it takes a week to fulfil then maybe more staff are needed.

Item was marked as dispatched but took another 2 days to for the carrier to receive it, so I am dubious about the accuracy if there dispatch date.

When I emailed to explain that it had been 7 working days since ordering it received a curt response and my concern was not addressed. I emailed back to seek a resolution but I never heard back. It made me sad that I was not treated with the politeness a customer who has not been given the service paid for should be.

When the sweets arrived, they were very nice and a good range is offered. However because of the slow dispatch time and poor customer service I would be hesitant to order again.

Awful....these sweets taste like plastic...I suppose the old addage is true ' you get what you pay for '...

I didnt read the reviews before ordering however it took just over a week for this to be delivered, I did email but got no response, all the sweets I ordered were in the bag and you do get a good amount for the price, Just feel like the quality isn't great, some sweets do taste tangy and cheap and some sweets are different to what I always get and what they should be but overall the amount you get is good, won't order again though but no major issues with this order. Thankyou

I think I’m not the only one by the look of the reviews that the service is horrendous it’s been 9days know,I emailed them and got the same reply as everyone else had,it’s been dispatched

This store is a joke. The order was placed 7 working days ago, and they still have not sent me the order. They sent an email saying it had been dispatched, which is a lie, as the parcel is still with the seller. They state 3-5 working days to ship, but it took until day 6 to even make out they had shipped it. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Why lie, as you can clearly see the delivery person doesn’t even have it. Avoid

Absolutely fantastic experience. The range of sweets is superb 👌 and I must say very delicious 😋 delivery was quick and custom service 10/10. I would 100% recommend joyofsweets to anyone craving something sweet. I will definitely be coming back for more ❤️❤️

Placed an order on the 17th March for a birthday gift - received an email confirming item had shipped on 19th but upon checking tracking its apparently still with sender (even still today 24th March) - received confirmation last night (24th) that order had now been collected by courier but no explanation as to why i already had received confirmation my item had shipped on 19th when it hadn't??? Very misleading sending confirmation that a stage of your ordered had happened when it actually hadn't!!! I had tried to contact them several times/methods to find out what its status was, as needed it for a birthday gift on 22nd - no contact until I raised a dispute with paypal today (24th) - requested order be cancelled because it's no use to me now that the date has passed and although they still have the item they won't cancel my order 😔 stating that as soon as an order is processed it enters the workflow process and the cancellation window expires.... so as soon as an order is made you can't cancel it 🤔 Also be wary if you choose a 'pick n mix/platter' item as this will then be classified as a 'custom' order so definately no way of cancelling - EVEN THOUGH it's STILL sweets they already have in stock - not ones I've specifically requested they buy in for my item - just another 'clause' in their 'policies'....
However, since raising a dispute I must admit they have been very prompt in replying to my messages now.....
Anyway, I just wish I'd read the reviews on this company before I parted with my money - definately will not be ordering from them again and would warn others to read the reviews first then make up your own mind whether or not to place an order 🙈 you live and learn as they say.....

I should have read their reviews first. They have a really awful team and offer terrible customer service. They products aren't good and most people don't receive what they ordered and within a reasonable timeframe.

Read their reviews on tiktok too, their replies are really really abusive.

Keep reporting this business until it gets shut down!

They tasted amazing and are very cheap quick delivery and would 100 percent recommend to everyone.

Always happy with the quality and quantity of sweets. Great selection. Recommended to many people.
