Had a bit of hiccup at start with paperwork but Stuart sorted everything out.All staff very helpful and friendly Dan/Ross talked me through process so all in all happy with the overall service.

Service and courtesy car was booked 3 or 4 weeks in advance. Arrived 8am 3rd April 2025. Customer service no record of booked courtesy car. Was asked to wait for car service until complete about 12midday. Of course my partner and I could not wait at dealership for 4 hours...had other appointments to attend. We were then offered an alternative for courtesy car. My partner agreed. I did not realise until we were shown the vehicle...it was a big white van. I was stunned at first but had to accept...I find this unacceptable. It was terrible

Purchased a car online. Salesman did not declare scratches and chips to the paintwork. Said in the video "no issues I can see at all". Car was delivered filthy, had not been valeted. Banana skin left in the passenger footwell. One key missing, floor mats missing. Photos sent to salesman, who initially agreed to resolve all issues, but is no longer contactable, or responding to emails. Very grateful to john clark aberdeen who have taken ownership of this and are seeing through to resolution, especially when they didn't need to!

Looking at replacing an aging Skoda Octavia estate. Initial speculative on-line enquiry rapidly responded to and test drive arranged in preferred model. Having decided to go ahead with purchase, vehicle of choice secured and arrangements made to get it imported to Dundee. Great communication throughout the process from Skoda in Dundee and in particular Alistair our salesman who even provided us with a courtesy car for a couple of weeks while we were waiting for the vehicle to arrive. All admin and paperwork signed off on-line so on pick up day simply a case of turning up and driving away in new car. Certainly the most pleasant car purchasing experience I've ever had and would have no hesitation recommending Alistair and Skoda Dundee

One of the poorest buying experiences I’ve had.

I bought a Skoda Karoq through John Clark Skoda - Dundee and I cannot express my dissatisfaction enough.

Firstly, be very prepared that if you a cash buyer or arranged your own finance to be treated like a second class citizen. You will be continually steered towards PCP, HP or their own finance companies with various ‘perks’ thrown at you in an attempt to entice you (I assume as they will receive an increased commission on the sale). With your own funds in place it’s very apparent that they will go through the motions with you but the level of customer service is significantly diminished. This is demonstrated later in my review.

Secondly, be very careful and carry out your due diligence. The vehicle I ultimately purchased was marked up by over £1000 on the displayed price when compared to the ad they had listed on autotrader. They did sheepishly match that price when challenged and advised that the prices had recently been ‘updated’ and this vehicle must’ve been missed.

Finally, the vehicle I purchased required an alloy to be refurbished and a dent on the wheel arch to be rectified as part of the sale. Perhaps naively I took the vehicle prior to the work being completed as it was available, but on the pretence the work would be completed in due course. On good faith I accepted this (a word of advice, DON’T). I have had to chase ‘Dan’ (the salesperson responsible) on a number of occasions which has resulted in ignored emails, extremely poor customer service and incompetence. The vehicle was eventually booked in to have the remedial work completed and on collection I was advised that the ‘dent guy’ wasn’t in today so only the alloy had been resolved. Since this, I have had a number of emails completely ignored and I am getting to the stage of returning the vehicle and looking at a breach of contract/options available to me civilly.

Long story short, I’d be very very cautious when dealing with Skoda Dundee and perhaps John Clark as a group as I trust Skoda Dundee will need to operate in a manner consistent with John Clark’s operating procedures. There are lots of alternative options out there and I would definitely advise you to exhibit caution if you choose to deal with this company.
