Jay-Be Bio Cool Hybrid 2000

Bought a Jay-Be Bio Cool Hybrid 2000 Mattress, to begin with it was a comfortable mattress, but then problems started, as a busy family we didn't realise it was made shorter than the standard length, so we had to wedge pillows in the gap at the head end, it was only then we noticed in the corners it really sagged, something I thought might be normal on hybrid mattresses, but in hindsight after sending it back, we believe it was missing a layer, no response or apology from Jay-be, I won't buy another, it's replacement (also a hybrid) did not have any of these issues aforementioned. Thanks

Superb aftercare!!

Superb aftercare!!!

I had brought a mattress from these guys 3 years ago, and through no apparent fault, had became slightly uncomfortable. I then contacted Jayne at customer services with my concerns. Jayne couldn’t have been more helpful and after a few questions arranged a replacement.
As someone who has worked in customer services, I have to highlight how this company has exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend anyone wanting to purchase from this company! Thank you so much… looking forward to getting back to a super comfy sleep.

Customer Services are a great representation of the Company

Jayne on Customer Services was very understanding, and understood my issue with empathy and professionalism.
I'd bought a Jay-Be single folding bed for my grandson when he stayed over. I've been delighted with it. Then lost a plastic plug out of the end and worried it would mark the floor, without it.
Jayne resolved this for me and ordered a replacement.

Absolutely amazing customer service

Absolutely amazing customer service. Fast and friendly and honestly just perfect. Above and beyond doesn't do the experience justice.

Jayne at the customer service department has been beyond helpful and almost literally made the impossible happen supplying a non standard part for a repair that would have otherwise rendered a Jay be product useless.

Cant praise highly enough.

Fantastic customer support

I've had a Jay-Be sofa bed for quite a few years. It has been great. It's a great sofa—really comfy. And it's also a really good bed. About a year ago one of the springs attached to the frame snapped and ripped the fabric and split the metal support rod that attaches the fabric under the mattress to the frame. I searched for ages online trying to find a replacement for the fabric with no joy (even contacting the manufacturer of the fabric). And then I emailed Jay-Be and within a week Jayne at Jay-Be had sent me some replacement fabric, all the springs to re-attach it and a tool to re-attach the fabric to the frame even though my sofa bed was way out of warranty AT NO COST TO ME at all.

Would I recommend Jay-Be to anyone?

100%.

If I or any of my friends or relatives need a sofa bed in the future I will be recommending them for sure.

Brilliant people and a fantastic company when it comes to after-sales customer care.

They are brilliant!

Jay-be great service

I enquired about buying a replacement mattress for my folding bed and was unexpectedly informed that my mattress was still within warranty and I would be sent a replacement with no charge. Very good customer service.

Jay-be put up bed. emailed company explained what I was looking for I was emailed a picture of said part that I needed. Was posted to me, arrived after three days. Very good especially bearing in mind there was no charge. Very good

I gave this rating as jaybe were very helpful and understanding and they kindly replaced my jaybe mattress that was accidentally torn I would differently recommend anyone that if they ever need a fold up bed to purchase one from jaybe as they are a good company

Substandard product and service

I purchased a TrueCore Hybrid 2000 mattress from JayBe via Argos. Despite allowing it 3 days to gain its shape, it was saggy at the edges, the springs creaked during the slightest of movement, it was unsupportive and uncomfortable. This mattress was intended to replace a different hybrid one so I didn't expect it to be the same as one that doesn't arrive in a box. However I did expect it to live up its description and to look like it does in the product listing. It didn't.

After several communications back and forth, it was clear that JayBe were not prepared to replace the mattress on the same day, nor have this happen on a weekend. I am self-employed and would have had to lose earnings having to wait in twice. I therefore decided not to risk receiving a substandard product twice and asked for a refund.

A collection was booked for this afternoon between 12 and 4pm but no-one turned up. I contacted JayBe but their office closes at 4pm on Fridays. I then contacted FedEx and was advised that the pick up was cancelled at 4:57am this morning.

I have lost earnings waiting in for this collection and will have to do so again next week. I have emailed a complaint to JayBe and await their reponse. I simply cannot understand how the product and their customer service has received so many positive reviews.

I understand that the comfort level of a mattress is subjective and someone else may have been satisfied with what I have received. However I am writing this to highlight to people that they will be taking a gamble if they buy a mattress from this company. I have wasted time, experienced frustration and have had a financial loss because of this issue.

I’m truly sorry to hear that the mattress did not meet your expectations and for the inconvenience caused during the return process.

I completely understand how frustrating it must have been to wait in for a scheduled collection that didn’t take place, especially when it has disrupted your working day. It seems that the cancellation was made by our courier partner at very short notice and outside of our control, and I sincerely apologise for the lack of communication and the inconvenience caused. I would like to assure you that I will be liaising directly with the our Account Manager to understand why the collection was cancelled and to help prevent this from happening again in the future.

While I appreciate this doesn’t undo the frustration, I hope it has brought the issue to a fair conclusion.

The double bed I bought is awful and…

The double bed I bought is awful and unfit for purpose I am average height and weight but every single night I fall through the middle of the bed because the double bed is incapable of holding the weight of a single person the slats fall out and break with very little pressure applied I already spoke to the customer service and they replaced the bed with an equally poor quality bed

Side note why do therlse people ignore the complaint I clearly said I went to customer service and their response is " speak to customer service" these people are pathetic

Okay but is there better anywhere?

It's not easy to write reviews on single portable put up beds, as ALL are uncomfortable and my partner who needed one desperately knows this. I put the JAY-BE 'Single Compact Folding Bed with Mattress' up with no issues at all. The mattress that comes with it, is a joke it's so thin but this was expected. I put a couple of double duvets folded up on top of this 'mattress' and she tried to sleep. She said it was still quite hard but the best so far. I intend to put the camping long strips i have, underneath this mattress that and should help a little. ..... I'm not happy that the legs at each end don't 'lock' properly into place and i'm pretty sure they're not metal. Bad design, cutting corners, whereas i'd rather pay extra. This bed was relatively cheap at £92 (after the sale price at Argos) and unless you're prepared to lay out £190 for a decent single memory foam matress, which defeats the purpose of having a portable bed, you may as well stick with this one ... but ... you WILL need something as well as the mattress provided!
Updated 28/9/25: Moved from 3 to 4 stars, as i've found a memory foam long rug i bought a few years back and after laying it on this 'bed', it has made a big difference. Which just goes to show that this portable bed does need something substantial to make it work. It is still quite low down and at my age, just wish it was higher ☺️

I ordered a jay-be bed from…

I ordered a jay-be bed from dreamsbeds.co.uk on 26th Aug 2025. I didn't receive any details about delivery dates until I contacted their customer services. They gave me date of 11th Sep which I changed to the 13th for my convenience. This is when it went wrong. The bed was actually being supplied by Jaybe and delivered by ArrowXL.
ArrowXL failed to turn up on the 13th. Despite many attempts to contact their customer service I was just fobbed off. Their whatsapp/facebook messenger and online customer service just timed out. After multiple attempts I managed to get through to their customer phone number (45 min wait) and was told Id get a phone back (no surprises when I didnt). Contacted dreams customer services a further 2 times, but no success in getting a new delivery date. Eventually gave up on 18th Sep and cancelled the order.
Still waiting for my refund.

Although your order was placed through one of our retail partners, we take responsibility for our part in the supply and delivery process. The service you received from both Jay-Be and our delivery partner, ArrowXL, clearly fell short of expectations, and for that, we are genuinely sorry.

We understand you’ve now cancelled your order, and we regret that it reached this point. Jaybe are not willing to rectify problems

I bought a GP120 Grand
Folding Bed with e-Pocket™ Mattress. It was very unsafe to open alone and would swing out on the wheels and crash to the ground. Especially not good on wooden floors. Used it 3 times over 1 year with guests and each time my guests said it dipped in the middle and was uncomfortable. JayBe offerered to replace it but I wanted to return it because the design is not good. It would have been the same problems over again. The only resolution sort would have been to replace the bed with a mattress of the same value. They declined which I thought was extremely stingey. Replacement does not work when the design is at fault.

This folding bed is extremely popular and we have lots of positive reviews. You have also commented that our Customer Care Team offered to send you a replacement, which is absolutely our standard practice, should a customer contact us to report any concerns with our products. We would also collect the original for our Production Manager to investigate the points you have raised. I note you declined our offer to replace this folding bed. As the manufacture of this item, we are not able to offer a return and refund as you would need to take this up with the retailer you purchased the item from.

Jay-be Sofa bed

The customer service has been first class I spoke with a lady called Sarah, I originally did not order from the Jay-be web site because I got a discounted price from a well known on line retailer beginning with "A" on May 27th 2025, as these are made to order I knew I would have to wait, but on the 4th August I got an email saying delivery was delayed the second delivery date I was given was delayed also ( The Sofa bed was never collected from Jay-be) so why I was given delivery dates when it could never be delivered is very bad. Then it was cancelled I waited for my full refund which I did get and then paid Jay-be direct, Sarah from Jay-be customer service sorted this all out, as the Sofa bed was already made and in the Jay-be warehouse where it was never collected from it was dispatched ASAP to my self , after a problem with access to my property which was my fault but sorted out I took delivery of my Sofa bed on September 1st 2025, the quality is first class and I can not fault this in anyway. A very big thank you to Sarah and the Jay-be team who made sure I did eventually get my ideal sofa bed

Excellent Support and Reliable Service

I had some difficulties registering my guarantee online for my Jay-Be Supreme Automatic Folding Bed, but the Jay-Be team stepped in and registered it for me without any fuss. They also arranged for a replacement part to be dispatched quickly, and kept me updated until delivery was confirmed.

Their customer service was polite, efficient, and very reassuring. It’s clear Jay-Be stand behind their products and look after their customers. I’m very happy with the support I received.

Highly recommend both the product and the company.
