Great shame I cannot give Zero...... Poor service, poor attitude and poor communications. I cannot be more damming of them they should be closed down as not fit to operate. When speaking with them they have perfect recall of what you havent told them and only see through thier eyes which is not to give an inch or in their case a penny....... really poor service (not existing)...

Avoid this company!!! Paid a REFUNDABLE deposit as stated on the advert and was advised however, when I viewed the van it was not as advertised and therefore decided against purchasing it. I was told I would need to wait until the accounts were in to refund the payment but I am still waiting 2 weeks later. I have called, text and emailed and nobody has responded.
Absolutely appalling customer service , extremely unprofessional people. I have a young family to provide for and support and people like you should be ashamed of yourselves as clearly I am not the first person you have done this to.

Coming back to drop a 5 star review, while buying the car we had noticed a squeaky noise from the cam belt , that Dan had checked and after driving for a week , I informed them of the noise being still there , Dan explained that we could get it looked at a garage near them but it would have been far from me, when I offered that my guy could have a look he agreed to cover a reasonable amount for the work . Although I’m yet to have the job done , I found dealing with them very sensible. They also sent me a new lock for the tyres as I reported that was missing when taking delivery. Overall pleased with the after service .

I mean where do I start, I’d love nothing more than to give a good review but it simply can’t be done, the bad attitude from the antagonising, arrogant little man on the other end of the phone to the oddly placed dodgy looking dealer ship, I shall start from the beginning!

I took out car finance through a company called Car Loans UK, after shopping around with some cars here and there I finally found a car that looked reliable from the pictures and note PICTURES I’d never driven the car, seen it up close and personal nothing NADA, so on the 26th April 2024 I was advised by car loans that I would need to place a holding deposit for the car that would be refundable (baring in mind I hadn’t spoken to the dealer ship at this point and it was all dealt with by car loans) so I get sent the card details by text by Car Loans and I send the £250 deposit to hold the car, again being told this is refundable, I go to view the car on the 29th April 2024 and the car itself was ok for what I was paying for it and drove quite well, BUT the dealer who was there was very off putting, didn’t seem like he was arsed at all or even bothered, we asked if a 12 month MOT could be out on the car but apparently this couldn’t be done, no further questions were asked at all, cut to on my return from the dealership I decided not to go for the car as it just felt very uneasy and a bit dodgy just by that one dealer, cut to now where I’m still awaiting my deposit I ring the dealer and this little man on the phone stated that it is a non refundable deposit and I was told this when I was at the dealership (incorrect) and that I was told lies by car loans, I ring car loans and they state that I should get it back as a refund and that they would raise a complaint, so car loans ring the little dodgy dealers and apparently I got shown a document and also had some terms and conditions read to me regarding a £250 deposit that I never even spoke about to the dealer ha! So I give the little dodgy dealer a call back and ask about when I was shown a document or even read these terms and conditions to which he couldn’t answer me, (I’d love to see the CCTV of where this so called document was shown) he had advised that he made me aware that it was non refundable which is a lie and that I was made aware of this on the phone, the only time I called the dealer was to confirm my date and time of viewing the car which was the day before (nothing else was mentioned) he advised that the car was bought by me as I had put a £250 deposit down but apparently I couldn’t drive away with the car because the money from car loans uk hadn’t been transferred haha! Well which one is it, it’s either my car because I put down the £250 deposit that was refundable or it isn’t, it was a holding deposit, this man was so arrogant on the phone and I made him aware that he is very arrogant and has what I call “little man syndrome” I’ve dealt with many men in my time that have been diagnosed with this which I don’t think he liked at all bless him, I then got asked if I’m homosexual haha which I don’t mind you know he must’ve just been intrigued, a bit of tit for tat, at this stage it really isn’t about the money, it’s the principal, this being that clearly from these reviews this man has a bit of a temper, anger issue or is just not a very good businessperson and runs an uneasy dealership in the middle of an industrial estate of where I can only imagine shameless could have been filmed, never the less I’ll get my £250 :) safe to say It wasn’t that I disliked the car, it was a nice car and drove well, what put me off completely was the way in which I felt at the dealership and how that one person made not only myself but my mum feel as well, which was uneasy! To which little man asked in a very antagonising way “why didn’t I make the dealer or them aware that they were making me feel this way” I’m sorry but if you are incapable of being able to know how you are as a person or “businessperson” of how what you do or how you say things may affect other people then unfortunately I’m not going to educate you or even give you the satisfaction of my sale, my normal experience with any sales person should and always be approachable and intriguing, alls that man gave me was a couldn’t be arsed attitude and spent most of his time inside whilst we were sitting in the car park, not even asked for a drink or if we could sit inside , nothing so you tell me is this what we should have expected from your dealership or is it a quick grab and go? Customer Service is absolutely everything and unfortunately this little dodgy dealer runs his mouth a little too much, maybe if you concentrated on how you speak to people over the phone and in person you wouldn’t have so many bad reviews, as you can see from the response below all lies, send me the call recordings where I rang before leaving the deposit? Don’t buy from this cowboy dealer!

We went to view a car at the Manchester branch. When we arrived the car was at the back of the building with cars in front of it. We were not offered a test drive. Could not see it properly but assumed like other garages that it would be cleaned and sorted before pick up. They do not allow collection at a weekend so therefore I had to ask about delivery which stated £1.50 per mile. This was confirmed on the day we were there. I paid the deposit and then waited for them to call when car was ready. They called Monday to give me numbers of collection companies for me to ring and arrange. It ended up costing me another £90 just because they would not allow us to collect the car at the weekend when we were not working. The car arrived and was filthy. All of the vents were clogged. The seats filthy. The roof interior had black marks. The boot was full of dog hair. The paperwork they sent included the MOT and on there it said there was a nail in the tyre. They had not sorted this. When I rang they said it had been cleaned. They said they would speak to the Valeter and also ask the relevant person if the tyre had been fixed and would get back to me . They did not get back to me and when I rang to follow this up they were rude. Told me they would not pay to get it cleaned. They would pay £10 which they said would cover the cost of a valet inside and out. They offered £15 towards the cost of repairing the tyre. The original sales man did not come to the phone and they one who did call me was the one who was extremely rude. Shouting at me and telling me it was a used car so that’s what you get. I have never seen a car sold by any dealer in such a filthy state. Normally they keep the car and clean it and get it ready before you collect it. These do not do this. They just take your money and then treat you appallingly. I will never recommend them to anyone. I even bought the extra warranty and yet I was treated disgustingly. In response to their untruths below. I was not trying to extort money. I paid in full and extra for two years warranty. Where can you get a full valet for £10? What dealership does not valet the car before collection or put right ant issues. I have never had this from other dealers as when I have bought previously elsewhere the car has been thoroughly cleaned. It was the salesman that started shouting and saying “you bought a used car”. As if that means you get the car in the condition they got it in and they do nothing to it before selling it on. He basically said that as it was used I should expect t it to be filthy.

Great experience with iDeal Car Centre Ltd. On the day I dealt with Ben. Everything was dealt with quickly and professionally. Ben was friendly and a pleasure to do business with. Cannot recommend highly enough, and very happy to do business with them again in the future. Thanks guys

It's my first time owning a car and Daniel patiently went through the entire process with me. There was absolutely no hard selling at all and the entire process made me feel like I could trust them. Honestly in future if I ever need a vehicle again, they would be my first go-to.

I've chosen to get you 4 star's as you just need to clean up with hygiene as well as the toilets. The price of holding a vehicle is high as other garage's only charge £100. So I through that was steep ask for £500. But otherwise was all good.

wouldn't value my car for part exchange without a £1k deposit, I needed the exact figure of the valuation to process my personal loan for the remaining amount which would take 1-2 days to process, I wanted to buy the car but as they don't take card payments I couldn't pay the deposit and they were not.willing to accept any less or even provide a valuation of my car so I could arrange the loan and return if they still had the car. I had received a previous valuations from other dealers of different amounts so needed an exact figure from them. The sales guy rang his manager but he refused to take any less than £1k and told me there was no point in valuing my car even though I said I wanted to buy it... I have never been refused buying a car before

Initially my dealings with ideal car seemed positive.
Purchasing the car was a little odd, sitting though all my financials, allowing them to drive & value my car before I was even allowed to turn on the car I had come to view. The price for my car was fair. The process seemed a little odd but I understand there are time wasters around so I proceeded with the purchase.
After only 3 weeks with the car, it went into limp mode. This was due to an injector fault. Ideal car had registered my purchase date incorrectly with the warranty company so some back and forth was required to rectify this.

The warranty company are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. I followed all the rules exactly as outlined in the T&Cs. They under quote repairs, barely even covering the cost of the cheapest injector on the market. As for actually getting the money, I’m 3 weeks into the process now and yet to see a penny from them, after being assured payment would be within 24 hours of invoice. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY UPGRADING YOUR WARRANTY - FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY. Ideal car should consider changing the company they use, as they are utter cowboys.

As for ideal car, after reading a few reviews, it seems mine is not the first or likely the last broken car they will sell. I can’t be sure, but I have a sickening sense that they may have been aware of the fault as nearly 1000 miles had been added to the car in the months it was with them.

Excellent price and good service. Ben and Daniel were very helpful and honest in their dealings with me. We are very happy with the experience.

It was a first for me when I bought a 2011 MX5 online! The risk was that I paid for it in full before seeing it.

Positives: Danny went to great lengths to point out blemishes and faults with the car. Bear in mind that it is an 11 years old car one does not expect perfection. The body marks were described with absolute honesty and there were no surprises. If anything, I expected a little bit worse.

The handover was excellent, I was collected from the train station by Ben who was polite and punctual and wee bit of an MX5 fan.

Danny was pleasant and explained everything in the handover.

At the end of the day, a fair car at a fair price.

Negatives: Nothing really to write home about. I asked if there were 2 keys with the car. Technically there were but both need to be refurbished.

The premises are minimalist but designed for out of town buyers, rather than passing trade.

The warranty is probably as much use as a chocolate teapot. A £500 limit only on big ticket, catastrophic events which are rare. Hopefully I will never have to test it!

I would not hesitate to use again. Nothing was over-promised.
