We had a great experience with Iceland Car Rental. Being able to pick up and drop off in Downtown Reykjavik is a good option.

I booked a Suzuki Vitara but was given a Nissan SUV instead, and it turned out to be a lovely upgrade. The car was automatic with four‑wheel drive, which came in very handy as it snowed a few times during my trip. It handled the roads beautifully and was a really comfortable drive.

I chose the full insurance package after hearing plenty of horror stories about strong winds damaging car doors and the rougher road surfaces in Iceland. I’m pleased to say I had absolutely no issues at all.

Collection and drop‑off were both straightforward and stress‑free. Overall, a smooth and reliable experience. I would happily use Iceland Car Rental again.

Tout s'est très bien passé. La voiture était prête en temps et en heure, propre, le service au comptoir impeccable. Le service de boite à clés en autonomie est idéal pour les arrivées tardives.

Betrouwbaar verhuurbedrijf. Alles ging soepel met ophalen van sleutels en terug brengen. Omdat alles is afgekocht hoeven ze de auto niet te checken em kan je meteen door naar het vliegveld. Aanrader!

Car pick-up and return was very quick and smooth. Prior damages were communicated.

We hired a car from the Reykjavík office, the no contact pickup was easy. We chose a ‘used’ model so the car wasn’t like new but it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and included a discount on fuel. I’d highly recommend.

Nice car, easy process for both collection and drop off

I rented a car with Iceland Car Rental/ Blue Car Rental three times now. Each time the whole process from renting the car online to picking the car up until returning it is so smooth.
This time my flight landed way earlier than expected. So much earlier that I didn't get the code for the key box yet. That wasn't a problem as the person working behind the counter just looked up the code for me.

For an Iceland vacation I recommend Iceland Car Rental. They have a very tranparant pricing system, no hidden fees and excellend service.

Getting hold of the car was quite easy, everything was as stated with full insurance and none of the usual ‘extras’ needed. The car was clean and ideal for what we wanted

Very easy and stress free pick up/drop off. The staff were extremely accommodating to all my questions and helped me pick out the perfect car, for the lowest price, that was also solid in winter conditions. We loved our trip to Iceland in the winter, and will definitely be coming back in the summer for a couple weeks. I had accidently made a mistake when booking, and they refunded me and allowed me to make the proper booking without any trouble. Great customer service! When we book, we will make sure to book with Iceland Car Rentals again because of how good the service was.

Brilliant service from start to finish. The coach to take us to the office was easy to find and the check to collect the car was so smooth, with lots of helpful staff.

Great service, easy to use website and good price.

Poor experience: the car was delivered to the Keflavik Airport branch with a roof box that was already damaged and (poorly) repaired. The offices were already closed and it was impossible to request a replacement. Two days later, the box was damaged beyond repair due to strong winds, and despite being 150 km from Keflavik, there was no way we could get a new box from the nearest rental agency. We had to drive all the way back to Keflavik, thus losing a non-refundable portion of our stay. Upon arrival, the staff didn't apologize for providing damaged equipment, but they even "complimented" us (ironically) for how we managed to patch up the box for the trip! I should also note that, despite providing us with a PHEV vehicle, they didn't provide a charging cable, as the employee said it was "not necessary," when in fact it is essential for this type of vehicle.
