Poor customer service and lack of integrity. I purchased a wedding ring for my husband because he had lost his. It was a birthday present. I kept it in the box waiting for is birthday, in a few days. We subsequently found the lost ring so I attempted to return the HSamuel ring for a refund or exchange. I returned to the store 6 days later to return the ring. The sales assistant declined to exchange or refund accusing me of having worn the ring. The ring had not left the box. He then stated that it was scratched, I couldn’t see a scratch. I protested that the ring had not been worn but he was not having it, simply handed me a customer service number and dismissed me. I was in complete shock. How can he make those statements when the ring was being returned as purchased. I did contact customer service and they did nothing, just supported the store. H Samuel employs people like that and then back their bad practice and treatment of customers. The ring genuinely has not been worn and the accusations are offensive. DO NOT USE H Samuel’s Birmingham. There are plenty of other jewellery shop options to chose from. Avoid this store.

Stopped by the Birmingham branch and met with a lady named Nabiha. One of the most amazing experiences in customer service I've ever had. She was so accommodating, professional, supportive and helped bring solution to an issue regarding resizing a ring I'd bought so quickly and efficiently. Me and my partner are ever so grateful and thankful for the way she handled us. I came into the store stressed and my whole mood changed around - understandly as there are many stresses due to my ring size not being in most shops conventionally.
I purchased a diamond ring from H Samuel around three years ago for £1,000. From the very beginning, the side stones were not properly set and did not sit securely in the band. I raised this issue repeatedly and the ring was sent back and forth to the claims company several times, yet the problem was never resolved.
What made this even more frustrating was that none of the store employees would acknowledge the fault. Instead, I was made to feel unreasonable and as though the issue was in my head, despite the stones clearly not being in place. As a result, I have never been able to wear the ring – it has spent the entire time sitting unused in my wardrobe.
Recently I attempted to sell the ring, only to be offered just £50. I was completely shocked. How can a ring sold for £1,000 be valued at such a low amount only a few years later? This has made me feel misled about both the quality and the true value of the jewellery sold by H Samuel.
On top of this, I was persuaded at the time of purchase to take out insurance at £13.99 per month, which now feels like another unnecessary cost on a product that was faulty from the start and never properly resolved.
I feel deeply disappointed by this entire experience and by the lack of accountability shown. This situation has still not been resolved after three years.
I am sharing this to warn others to think very carefully before purchasing jewellery from H Samuel. My experience has left me feeling misled, ignored, and completely let down.

Attended Birmingham bullring for a permanent jewellery appointment . Was advised no one was available despite me having booked a slot, Also was advised they couldn’t get in touch by phone as they are not allowed?! and that they emailed me shortly before I arrived in store, no email has ever been received.
A total wasted trip and I have now booked in with another more reliable jeweller for this bracelet.

I booked an appointment to have my ears pierced today. Claire professionally talked me through the whole process, with clear instructions for aftercare. They offer an excellent service at a very competitive cost. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks Claire.

I had a really poor experience with the customer service here. I visited the store with my girlfriend to check out some chains, and what looked like the manager was doing a stock count at the time in front of the chains display blocking access. I politely asked if we could view the chains, but she responded in a very rude and dismissive manner, telling us to deal with someone else because she was busy. It felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. We decided to leave and ended up buying a chain from another shop where the staff were much more helpful. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t go back or recommend the store.
For reference this was the Birmingham bullring store on the 31/5/2025 in the afternoon.

I strongly advise against getting the "permanent" jewellery from H Samuel. There’s a reason the brand has lost prominence over the years. My bracelet broke just two days after purchase, and my sister’s broke slightly over three months later. So much for being "permanent."
Despite purchasing insurance, H Samuel refused to offer a refund. The bracelet was extremely poor quality, and at £100 each, the product was not remotely worth the price. I already had doubts when I walked into the store, and I regret not trusting my instincts
The staff at the Bullring location were unhelpful and dismissive throughout the experience. I haven’t shopped at H Samuel in years — and after this, I never will again

Purchase Michaelkors watch along with 2 year warranty plan. Watch started showing off incorrect time , went to the store got a replacement watch . Again the same problem in another watch .went back to the store again , staff said they will monitor the watch for a week and then inform me . They kept only for two nights and I recieved the watch on fourth day saying on the receipt that it showed correct time but when it came it was a wrong time , I adjusted to a correct time but still same problem .
Very very disappointed as I gifted this watch to my daughter for her birthday but not able to use it . Paid £175

I have a Seiko SND377P watch, the bracelet was too small, I had extra link's, Phil in the BullRing Store was extremely polite and had a good product knowledge, he advised of two options, add the extra links to see if it would fit, or order a replacement bracelet, first option worked, Phil carried out this whilst I waited in store, and the result was First Class, Phil is definitely a valuable asset to the team. 💯
Amazing service from Paige in the Birmingham Bullring store. Went above and beyond to help me with an issue I’d experienced in another store, remained helpful and professional and I left very happy with a new permanent bracelet! 10/10 would absolutely recommend this store. All the staff were friendly and welcoming as a whole also.
Absolutely terrible service. I went yesterday to buy some gold earrings for a Xmas party this Saturday. The only shop assistant present there was a guy that was talking really loud. I tried to find something that was 18k gold, found something that was gold plated only. I asked that guy if he has 18k gold, not plated and he told me no, cause the higher the carates, the softer the gold so, an 18k object wouldn't be strong enough to make earrings from. I gave in and bought the plated ones. Went home, tried them, they're really beautiful. But I googled the value of gold plated jewellery and it's basically nothing. I also looked on their website and turns out they do have 18k solid gold jewellery, in stock.
Since I was on the website, I ordered a bracelet with collection today. Forget about the fact that no one cared, and had to wait for them to pack my bracelet, but also couldn't get a refund for my earrings. I even offered to buy more expensive ones, from solid gold, and just get it as a discount. They said no. I asked to speak with a manager. She didn't really listen, only waited for me to finish talking just to tell me no. Apparently, you're not allowed to try on earrings, nor take them home. Also, the manager told me that they don't have 18k solid gold either, even though another employee showed me some earlier. At this stage, I'm feeling profiled! Why would I be told they don't have some products, when they clearly have???
Please be very careful before buying from this shops, cause their policy is "buyer beware".

I recently purchased a ring in the Bull Ring H.Samuel store in Birmingham and they did not have my size in stock at the time. I paid for the ring in the store and was told that they could resize the ring and would send it to my home in my size. They have sent me a different ring from the one I picked out and purchased in store. It looks similar but is noticeably different. I took a photo of the in store ring at the time I purchased it and I can tell the difference from my photo to the one they have sent me. Also how different it is from the advertisement of it online. The ring was not cheap and I would advise against buying jewellery from H.Samuel unless they have it in store. Otherwise they may send a ring of less value instead. This appears to be what has happened to me.
