Awful experience. Customer service is non-existent, they advertise free next day delivery and didn't send the product for over a week. I raised a payment dispute with my bank as I'd had no response from this company. The bank credited my account until I finally got a full refund. Was an absolute nightmare!

Des semaines d'attente pour un lave linge qui n'est toujours pas expédié mais dont le montant est débité (360 Euros). Aucune réponse aux relances, aucune personne capable de répondre. Pas de numéro de téléphone de service client. Pas de numéro de suivi. Encore un site marchant d'arnaque.

I would not give a star at all if couldn't share that you CAN'T get in touch with customer services. I sort of feel scammed. Trying to return carpet cleaner

Je mets 1 etoile mais en réalité ces catastrophique. Entre le technicien tres alaise qui critique et tres hautain..le lendemain seche linge toujours en panne. Et l'interlocutrice qui me dit alors que cest la 3eme pannes qu'ils ne peuvent pas me rembourser ou echanger l'appareil que tant qu'ils peuvent reparer il le feront le seche linge a quelques mois donc n'achetez pas pas Candy et fuyez hoover

The new Hoover PortaPower arrived today! I was excited! I was thrilled! Over many years, this is the 3rd one I've bought because it was, as claimed, "Commercial" power and SO convenient!

I unpacked it, compared the parts to the one I'd bought about 8 years ago (that one only lasted 8 years, sadly).

The attachments were the same. The canister was the same. And that's where it ended.

1. The power cord is immediately obviously cheaper quality. Lighter-weight.
2. The bag that comes with the unit is thinner, cheaper quality. Will likely let a LOT pass through and likely into the motor.
3. Ah... the motor. I plugged it in and flipped the switch... IMMEDIATELY I could HEAR the motor is weaker and...
4. As somebody had posted in a "review" else-where, I'll repeat: "It doesn't suck." No, really, it doesn't. NOTHING even comparable to the old units. What used to take me about 10 minutes just took me almost 30! Passing over and over and over again and again.

Keep in mind, Hoover uses the "USA" label all over their site, in their product descriptions, on their packaging and shipping boxes BUT... the TRUTH comes on the little sticker ON the unit:

* ASSEMBLED * IN USA. NO "MADE" IN USA.
Sub-par parts, MADE in China, shipped to the USA where somebody with a screwdriver puts it together.

Compared to other vacuum cleaners, the price is attractive. But it's a case of "you get what you pay for" and you're NOT getting your old Hoover any more.

I'm keeping it because I need it (or I wouldn't have bought it). But this is the LAST Hoover product I'll ever buy again. My "Trust" in Hoover is completely gone.

(Following is my first comment/review for reference. I should have known better. I've learned a sad lesson.)

OH! But it's so sad a I SO wish I'd looked for this information BEFORE pissing money away on more sub-standard destruction of a once-American brand:
"Hoover brand vacuum cleaners are primarily manufactured in the United States, specifically in Cookeville, Tennessee, although some components may be globally sourced. The company is now a subsidiary of Techtronic Industries, which is based in Hong Kong."
True to form, the "new" Hoover company doesn't care about customers, products, the name, the reputation, the heritage. They're "Chinese" now and their merchandise is "typical" of "Give me your money and leave me alone."
My old PortaPower suddenly caught FIRE after only 6 years of the most careful use, One day it worked, the next day, flames! Trusting the name, I ordered a new one only to find that the quality has plummeted.
Tried their online "chat"... either you choose from programmed questions or it simply shuts you down... exactly like the "people" who answer the phone when you call.
Never again... Time to notify the credit card company. Let's go to the "American" courts if need be.

Primero, lavadora con 12 meses de uso se estropea... Puede ser mala suerte, pero bueno, si el servicio técnico fuese eficiente aún pasa, pero no... de lo peor que me he podido encontrar... llamas, más de una semana para que llegue una correa para una lavadora... que no tienen dicen... es como en un taller de coches no tuvieran aceite... resulta un poco paradójico... en fin, nada recomendable el servicio postventa.

J'ai vécu une expérience désastreuse avec Hoover.
Deux livraisons successives : appareil reçu cassé à chaque fois, livraison facturée malgré tout.
Le service client est tout simplement inexistant : depuis plus de deux mois, j'attends toujours mon remboursement. À chaque mail ou appel, on me répond "oui oui, c'est en cours" , mais rien n'avance.
Résultat : perte de temps, frustration et argent immobilisé.
Je ne recommanderai jamais cette enseigne.
Mon conseil : si vous commandez malgré tout, utilisez PayPal ou un autre moyen de paiement sécurisé afin d'avoir une garantie de remboursement, sinon vous risquez de le regretter.

I had a local engineer come out to look at my washing machine to be told I had I had a big hole in my drum and needed to ring hoover for a replacement. I rang Hoover and explained everything what I needed iE: Drum and tub! my model and serial number.She said I Had to wait 4 days for an engineer to come out and fix it. They said I would have a 2hour time slot.I waited on the day to receive a telephone call asking for my serial number AGAIN!!! Then to be told they will order my part and wait another week.
Fuming!!!

Bought a hoover washer as hoover used to be a good make, not any more, it lasted 14 months. Engineer said drum spindle was broken. It would have cost £80 call out and £160 for repair and labour and vat, parts free.240 in total. I bought a new one of a different make for 350. Hoover you can keep it and good bye forever.

Le sav ne répond pas

Tengo una lavadora Hoover con menos de 3 años y el cierre de la puerta está totalmente roto. Me llaman del servicio técnico y dicen que si hay algo roto no lo cubren. La lavadora está rota por defecto de fabricación de ellos y no pienso pagar ni un euro. Es una gran estafa, no recomiendo a nadie esta marca de electrodomésticos, en concreto sus lavadoras, no duran ni 3 años.

Hola. Tengo un aspiradora Hoover hf500 plus que realmente funciona bien. Mi queja va al servicio de repuestos hooverpremiun que gracias a ellos no volveré a comprar ninguna aspiradora Hoover. Vamos al turrón, en el mes de junio se me cayó el aspirador al suelo y se me rompió el cubilete que almacena la basura, entonces no quedó más remedio que acudir al servicio de repuestos hoover. Compré el repuesto en el mes de junio, pasado un mes decidí ponerme en contacto por correo porque me pareció raro que tardara tanto en llegar el repuesto. Bueno pues me contestan y me piden disculpas que lo entregarán en mi domicilio a principios de agosto, total que acepto las disculpas. A finales de agosto decidí otra vez ponerme en contacto con ellos porque todavía no lo había recibido, me contestan diciendo que hasta finales de año no hay el repuestos ( diciembre) ya entro en cólera y les digo que anulo el pedido. Me dicen que en 3 días me harán el reembolso, pasan 3 días y no hay tu tía, les vuelvo a mandar otro correo y me dicen que hasta finales del mes de agosto no hay reembolso que valga, madre mía que gentuza y yo con la aspiradora casi 3 meses parado en casa.
Gracias a que pagué por PAYPAL, tuve que recurrir a ellos y fue entonces cuando de inmediato me hicieron el reembolso si no todavía estoy esperando. La intención de ellos que se veía era de no reembolsarme el dinero y que me cansara de reclamar.
Destacar que también escribí un correo a Hoover España denunciando la situación y no me hicieron ni puñetero caso.
Osea que el que se esté pensando en comprar un aspirador de esta marca pensarlo 2 veces antes de hacerlo .

La peor, pagamos casi 900 eur por una lavasecadora Hoover (la de máxima capacidad) a compramos hace 2 años y el técnico ha venido ya 7 veces por distintas fallas. La primera que no variaba el agua y se me inundó el lavadero...la siguiente falla que el termostato se dañó y ya no seca. No te cambian las piezas desde el comienzo, lo que hacen es arreglar la que está dañada. Luego el técnico te dice que no puedes poner toallas ni colchas ni mucha ropa y es de 14 kgs de carga (el modelo de más capacidad) así que si no quieren pagar un dineral para solo lavar pañuelos y ropa interior mejor busquen otra marca!!

The fact is I just open the box and the brush was missing, and a major corporation cannot send me the missing one that cost them 2.50 to make but charge 25 plus 15 shipping is HORRIBLE image for a company. I am on disability and haven't income replacement and yet I go out of my way in June to get this vacuum cleaner thinking I will use it in the near future. Not evening open the box to ensure all parts are there because I blindly misplaced my trust in a company that had been around over 50 years.

Hoover, un grand nom pour de l'électroménager bas de gamme !
Aspirateur acheté sur leur site, cassé à peine 6 mois après. tube principal qui se décolle de la base et donc inutilisable.
SAV inexistant, plusieurs mails fait qui reste sans réponse, appel au service technique qui me dit de refaire un mail, la blague !

Absolutely ridiculous service. Couldn't pull out a tumble drier. Made my wife pull it out before he would fix the machine. Refused to put it back. Would plug it back in to test it.

Worst experience with Hoover and tumble dryer. Tumble dryer plug went on fire and damaged the socket. It melted and left a massive black mark and cracked the socket

The water tank fell off and got damaged it’s so poorly made.

Why do they write in big letters 10 year parts guarantee then get the man who writes on rice to write underneath ring this number and at a cost

Absolutely craps and worst of all the customer service is extremely lousy and dishonesty!! We bought two carpet cleaners and a spot cleaner and all stopped working within few months or a year. They wouldn't honor any warranty at all. The customer service attitudes were so bad n would argue and lie to deny any claims or warranty. I'd never buy that brand again.
