We reached out to friends on agencies they have used in the past especially if anyone worked with first responders. Right off the bat our agent was amazing. She made the process of first time home buyer so easy.

I was blessed to discover this program when I started my RE career back in 2014. As a HFH Affiliate Realtor I have helped over 200 Heroes buy or sell their home in that timeframe. This program is very near and dear to my heart as the wife of a Military Veteran and it provides me the opportunity to give back to all our local Heroes (Military, Law Enforcement, Healthcare Workers, Teachers and Fire Fighters) that give so much to their local communities. Hi my name is Kathy Colkitt, I'm a branch manager loan officer for 30 years. Unfortunately 3 years ago is when I heard about Homes for Heroes, meaning I would have done at my entire career had I realized not only it was away for me to give back It would also mean how many hundreds probably thousands of heroes I would have been able to have helped in the mortgage process. I filled out a form on Facebook to be contacted by this company regarding my interest to buy a home. I was sent a text message asking me to call a number to get information. I sent a reply asking them for information on their Cash Rebate and Interest Rates and was told by a representative that they "didn't work this way and that I had to actually speak to someone or I would receive no information." He wished me luck and have not heard back from this individual. Pretty Shady if you ask me!
