I have just completed my CIPD course with HLC and would highly recommend to those who are committed in achieving this qualification.

From enquiry and enrolment, I felt that the consultant was very informative and helpful. The consultant provided all the information and answered all the questions I had via email and phone (as I had many questions and wanted to be sure this was the right CIPD education provider to go with). I believe HLC offers a range of payment options, from paying in full or instalments, there is an option to fit each individuals with other commitments!

With regards to the course, my tutor Les, was very personable, understanding and supportive. He offered a lot of help and very accommodating. From beginning to end, each online live classes were helpful. It allowed us to utilise these lessons to share experiences/knowledge and opinions, and to ask any questions we had for that particular unit.

Overall, HLC offers an online website which has its own Student Forum, provides course materials and other documents necessary for each units. The tutors are always accommodating to each individual’s needs, as they are usually available via email/phone - even on the weekends!
The workshops were great to meet other students, and networking. Tutors were also very friendly and helpful by providing constructive feedback.
Each units are allocated with enough time to complete for submission, and is suitable for anyone - even those that are full time employed, or work in shifts.

I have already recommended HLC to a few and I can see myself choosing HLC again in the near future for the next CIPD level. This is suitable to those that are serious about being CIPD (or other course) qualified, and are committed in getting results.

I wanted to complete my CIPD course for a while and looked at many different online companies to see what they offered. In the end I opted for the home learning college as they had some impressive reviews.

From the start I felt supported and this continued right the way through the course. Tutors are available by email but they are also contactable my phone. I contacted mine at weekends and always recieved a response straight away.

My course was delivered by Claire and Les, they were absolutely fantastic and made the learning fun.

When it came to assignments support was offered to help you.

The course was fantastic, I managed to work it around my shift work (nights and days) and didn't take up too much of my time. You build a good rapport with your classmates and the workshops are fun you even get fed :-).

If your thinking about a course I would highly recommend the HLC! It's professional and personal approach is exactly what you need.

I love the Home Learning College. I know some people have bad experiences however mine so far is great ! I am 3 months into doing a Lv 3 CIPD HR Practice course and I have had nothing but 100% satisfaction. The course is very suited to me and I have nothing but amazing comments for my tutor Les. The Home Learning College is defiantly the best option for me so thanks !

I applied for a course and decided it was not for me. I missed the 14 day back out period which ran out before the course started. So how do you know if its for you...I asked for money back and they wouldnt give it so changed onto another course that I didnt want to do. I am now paying out £1500 for a course I am not doing they are taking my money for nothing.
Disgusting. Money for nothing in any other form is called theft

When I started with Home Learning College I didn't know how much should I expect or how much should I ask. At first, I belied will be a huge volume of information without real application in real time and just with luck you can pick up the right information. BUT I was wrong. They give me the exact amount of information required in real world through a great mix of study materials, workbooks and exams. Regarding the fee, HLC offer a full package which in the big picture is the lowest in market.

I really enjoyed my course that I undertook with the home learning college. The tutors were very helpful and very quick to respond to any queries and if they were away for a long period of time we were informed and told who we could ask for advice. I would recommend them to anyone looking to do a distance learning course. I am looking into doing another course through them because of the fantastic support I had while I was doing this course. 10 /10 fantastic company with friendly and competent staff

Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Tutors could not have been more helpful. Good communication and no problems accessing the course material. Material provided was clear and concise as well as the video tutoring and interaction with other students. I never felt alone or worried. Contacting the tutors wether by phone or e-mail was easy, quick and efficient answers from them with very helpful and understanding replies. They were all reliable and took into account the way people learn in different ways. Personally I am a visual learner, but the tutors explained things well and so I was able to find my own paradigm and tools to complete assignments which anyone can do with a degree of taxonomy. There was never any pressure, just help at hand when needed. Workshops were great and very well organised. Sad to have finished but met some new friends/colleagues. Home Learning College is a must for those learning from home. Great experience and new skills learnt that I would otherwise not have had. Thank you all Jeannette Barrett

I was enrolled with HLC to complete AAT level 2. They didn't think to tell me I had exams - or give me details for AAT membership as they were supposed to so I would be able to figure out for myself! In honesty, a simple comment at the bottom of the assessment when completed to a high standard saying "Great work - you are now ready to book your exam" would have sufficed?!
They are a lot more expensive than other training providers... And what do you get for your money - tutors that never answer the phone? Textbooks with dozens of errors in? PowerPoint presentations with the most uninterested people imaginable?! Contacted by email if you haven't visited the poor website for 2 months?! An individual learning plan, that was not actually individual to you?!
I am shocked to my core that AAT actually allow hlc to continue to sell any of the courses.
I would not be surprised if most of the reviews you read for this organisation are faked...
I can not express my distain for this organisation enough.

I am glad I chose Home Learning College to get my IAB Bookkeeping qualifications- I found the Tutors very helpful and supportive throughout and the live classes were easy to understand. I am now a fully certified Bookkeeper so thank you!

Having just completed a level 5 HR qualification I would 100% recommend studying with Home Learning College. The course is well structured and the online learning facility allows you to fit your studies flexibly around work/life. Tutor group forums and day schools have been a fantastic opportunity to meet other students. My tutor was really supportive and gave excellent feedback, I wouldn't have been able to complete the course without her. Overall it's been a really positive learning experience and I now have a qualification to take away and use to help take my career in a new direction.

I'm so happy that I signed up for a Home Learning College course. Its a brilliant format that lets you study at your own pace, in your own time, and more importantly allows you the flexibility to still live and study at the same time.

As a result of completing a CIM course with Home Learning College, I now have a marketing role I have worked towards for many years, and this would not have been possible without the support of the tutors and student services team. I enjoyed this course so much, I'm looking at taking another!

The course and text books are easy to follow, provide great knowledge, and the live classes available are instrumental in gaining further knowledge.

I am a few months into my CIPD HR course and can honestly say my experience has been wonderful. The tutors are so helpful whenever I need a bit of extra help and the workshop was a really great experience meeting the other students and tutors. I can't comment on the other course but top marks for the CIPD course.

I have just completed the Level 5 HR management certificate. I found the course engaging, challenging and rewarding. Before enrolling, I discussed my experience and options in depth with a HLC advisor who offered really useful advice and shared their own experience of studying with the HLC which was really encouraging. This course was particularly good value as it offered an employment law module which not all courses at this level include. The Virtual Learning Centre is great for supporting long distance learning as it keeps you up to date with where you should be and in touch with others from your course which helps to motivate you. The workshops also help to motivate your studies, it is great to meet with like minded individuals and for practitioners to share their experience from a range of industries. My tutor was very supportive throughout and readily available. The only area of improvement would be the textbooks which could be more clearly written in parts, but the online resources provided for further reading are invaluable.

Although this was a remote course, I felt totally supported throughout. My tutor responded to my emails promptly. There were conference calls involving the whole group to discuss concepts and raise any concerns. The format of the course was easy to understand including the various Laws and Acts surrounding HR. I was able to work full time and gain a qualification, I strongly recommend HLC.

I've had an interest in HR for many years, the brief knowledge gained through a job I had almost at the beginning of my career just over 20 years ago! Unfortunately I never took the HR path when I moved on however, all these years later I found myself still having that passion and interest in HR and wanting to get back on that route. I did try when my children were younger to get my CIPD qualification but it was extremely difficult to hold down a full time job, have two young boys and husband to look after, attend college for 3 hours once a week plus do my assignments so, with a heavy heart, I pulled out about half way through!

Roll on 13 years and I was back online searching for the most practical way of gaining my CIPD qualification and I was so pleased when I found it! I hadn't heard of HLC before however, having had a very lengthy conversation with a HLC advisor I decided to enrol as it suited my lifestyle perfectly. Other than being advised of an incorrect start date I would highly recommend them. They are professional, always help as soon as they can and if they can't they'll get back to you. It's convenient, no classes to physically attend (other than a couple of workshops spread out over the 9 months which you're informed about at enrolment) I can join the online class from pretty much wherever I am as long as I have good internet connection. However, I personally always join from home as it's more comfortable and I'm at home with my family which is the key thing!

In addition, the tutor is great, very helpful and replies pretty quickly, very relaxed attitude and flexible when needed.

Really pleased with my experience so far and thoroughly enjoying the course. :)

I have been working towards the CIM Diploma in Digital Marketing with Home Learning College. I have found the materials and support that they have provided to be really useful allowing me to gain good grades in all of my assignments so far. I have already begun to use the models from the course for the content and social media strategy that I am working on in my current role with some really good results. Also finding it really useful in helping to measure and demonstrate the results of the work that I am doing to others in the company.

Post-graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing

I've studied with HLC for close to 3 years as I had to extend the course twice due to being too busy to study, but once I did I found it mostly straight forward and the tutors were very supportive.

The virtual learning classroom (VLC) is simply laid out and its easy to navigate. All resources for your modules and lessons are laid out in folders for you to download if you wish or just view on screen.

Everything you need to complete the exams are communicated clearly and in good time so you always know whats going on and what you need to prepare to CIM (or your awarding body).

When I first started the course there were some small issues around content and only having one tutor available, but this has been solved. There are now regular webinars / live classes (usually 1 a week) and more tutors on hand to answer questions. Theres also the forum for all students on the same course as you, which is a great place to interact and get questions answered.

I think some of their work sheets could still do with some improvements to make some tasks clearer, but overall its a great course and everyone (the tutors and other class mates) are very supportive and helpful!

For anyone looking to gain a qualification around a job or busy lifestyle I would definitely recommend Home Learning College.

The support offered by the Home Learning College is outstanding. When ever you need any help or assistance you can contact your Tutor in a variety of ways.

With a variety of courses the Home Learning College is a great source of information and education for those who aren't able to attend a physical establishment each day.

Really good for flexible learning exactly what I needed. Great online courses and not at too bad a price. Would definitely recommended.
